Thankfully it is a small airport and not very busy like Newark or O'Hare. Seems like the X-ray machine they use locks up on occasions. Plus it does not prioritize who ever is dropping off their bags at the closest station to the machine. This last time I watched the bags of the person two spots behind me get scanned before my first bag did and then the guy ended up still waiting longer than me on the other side. This makes zero sense and forces a lot of people to wait for that last bin with their stuff to come thru. The few tsa agents I interacted with were friendly and they get a separate 5 STAR rating from me.

I've never seen a team handle three simultaneous issues of a canceled flight, a flight delayed due to a mechanical issue, and all the computer systems being down, with such efficiency, dignity, and grace. I look forward to coming through Amarillo in the future, hopefully with less issues.

She gave us a lot of tips on how to book and where to be on the ship. And she always gets us the same rate or better than the internet booking. So you get the same price as you would online and have an experienced cruiser helping you with the details, and watching out for you. Highly recommended!

Check is was amazing as the person that checked me in was lovely and friendly and gave some great recommendations for local places to eat! The room was well sized, it did have a bit of a stale sweat odor unfortunately! I am going to start traveling with my travel essential oil humidifier for this reason but it was clean and well appointed with a large window the length of the room. The room was quiet , bed was comfy and the stay was pleasant - will definitely stay here again while here for work as it's a great property and location!

The front desk staff was pretty flat about it all, stating there are no more rooms, so we were like a captive audience. Paid full price, no concessions at all, for misery during a long road trip. Really unfortunate. None of us slept well. When we woke and quickly left in the morning, the hallway was at least 10 degrees cooler than our room. Honestly, don't sell the room (or at least discount it) if it's that bad and you know it! No continental or provided breakfast either. You can buy breakfast from a "cafe". For over $200 for one night. We could have stayed anywhere else, we should have, but we didn't know the room condition until we had all our things in the room and it was 11:00 at night already. Certainly our bad for not just leaving, but my experience is my experience, so here we are. Giving 2 stars for the beds being somewhat comfy; if the A/C worked and the cot was not broken (and they knew it), it would be higher.

I spoke to the front desk about it, and she said that the hotel needs a remodel. That doesn't help me at all, so she would have to talk to the manager about how disappointed I am. I thought that I booked the nicest room, which is the two bedroom suite with a king bed, two queens in another room and a sofa bed. Upon arrival, I was happy with how nice it looked, that they had dishes and pots and dish soap. But the carpet is gross, the couches were really dirty, and even the lamp has stains. I didn't want my family to take off their shoes and we even used our own blankets. My son needed another blanket at night and when he went down and got one at around 11pm, the blanket has a huge hole in it. On top of everything else, the blanket wasn't even right. The next thing was the fire alarms going off every little bit around 6am. Apparently someone left the stove on and there was smoke on the third floor. I could forgive this if it was the only thing, but on top of everything-- this was a very upsetting time. The ONLY reason they got any stars at all is because I didn't see any bugs. Adding that even the bagel at breakfast was moldy.

Booked our stay because we are military traveling for a PCS and it's a pet friendly hotel (with deposit per pet). However, everything is dirty. Just walking around the hotel, there is stuff all over the carpets (lint, pieces of paper, crumbs, I don't even know), smears on the linoleum (probably from pets or small spills, but you would think a day later they would be cleaned up), and don't get me started on the pool. We took our kids for a swim and someone's yogurt parfait was sitting on the chair and it was oldddd. The hot tub isn't working and the water is stagnant and nasty. Dead bugs in it and looked super cloudy. One guy actually said he asked someone about it and they apparently said they would come "turn it on," but never showed up. Probably for the best. The bathrooms next to the pool are trashed. Toilet paper everywhere. Someone took a huge poop in the women's room and it either didn't go down, or they didn't bother to flush. The outside gazebo looks beautiful though. They have a very nice set up where you can grill and hang out. Maybe the lady at the front desk was having a rough day, but I went to ask for pool towels because, surprise, they weren't stocked, but her demeanor honestly made me feel like a burden for even asking. I didn't even bother mentioning the hot tub like I was going to. The fitness center is... lacking. The treadmill won't even turn on and I had to mess with the elliptical settings to find one that didn't say error. Not sure about the bike, I didn't try it after I got the elliptical to work. They have exactly 11 dumbbells, no water in the jug or wipes in the dispenser, and it's apparent that someone didn't clean up after themselves because there were paper towels and a wadded up regular towel just sitting around. They do offer guest laundry, but it's not free and you can't use your own detergent, it's preloaded. Each load costs $2.50 per washer and dryer. Our room is a decent size. We have a kitchen with a ton of empty cabinets, a handful of dishes, and almost a full sized fridge. I'm happy about those things! But the pull out couch was pretty awful and my poor husband ended up sleeping there with our daughter. There was food in the couch when we opened it up. Our sink had men's leftover beard trimmings and our shower had someone else's hair still. Our room has splatters all over the wall from God knows what abd the carpet is stained. I feel bad letting my toddler walk on it. Don't get me wrong, I've stayed in some sketchy places before, but for $300 for one night? No thank you, it's just not worth the price.

A visitor center, with this being Texas is absolutely bigger and better than anywhere else . The friendly atmosphere of the staff. In fact the gentleman that helped us and greeted us from behind some glass window came out and showed us the "how to do this and that." They made sure we knew what we wanted and needed . If that's even possible! The local business on the outer ring has flora and fauna of the small city of Amarillo. The landscape has a great variety of steel cows to take photos of . It's truly well done . Great little area to walk around and explore the landscape of nature here in Texas. It's bigger and nicer in Texas . Snap a self portrait with horn and those that you love. See what you look like with bull horns . The parking lot has plenty of parking. Lots of free information inside and happy people to share joy about Texas with you. Plan to stop and see how great Texas can truly be.
