I was recommended by a gynecological surgeon because what they saw in my MRI was concerning to them. this doctor could care less, especially when it comes to women. I waited two months to see this doctor just to be disrespected talked down & absolutely unequivocally not heard. he was so rude even when he did an anal exam, causing me severe pain. I feeling emotionally and physically violated. but you know I'm just a woman so we must all be crazy right? this is one of the main reasons why I only like to go to female doctors. This man because I refuse to call him a doctor now treated me like absolute shit. I went in there incredibly informed of my own health issues and it annoyed him to his core. he kept telling me he's the doctor and I was the patient and I kept telling him, but I'm the one in pain and I'm trying to tell you how my body feels and he just continued to cut me off. this man looked me dead in the eye, and said there's nothing I can do for you. unless you have a bowel blockage and are about to die I can't do nothing. I left that defeated, disgusted, and sexually assaulted. he didn't even give me a warning when he was going to try and insert a scope, let alone his finger. from the moment he came in the room until the moment he left he was rude, crude & dismissive. every question he asked I right there in my notes. Did you look at the MRI scans and the images and he would reply yes but then continue to ask me questions that he get the answers from through those MRI images. he also told me I'm not sure why you're here. Meanwhile, another NYU doctor recommended him to me and that's in my clinical notes as a recommendation, but he refused to read that then lied to me and said that he did read all my notes. I will never understand how a doctor like this with this kind of attitude can serve anyone. i'm going to find out how I can make a complaint with the medical board and with NYU because here I am still in writhing pain with no answers and no help other than a cream. my husband and I are gonna go to far links to do what we need to do because this man sent me home with the idea that my pain was perceived and not real. I don't know how to explain the frustration I feel, but no one should ever be disregarded by a doctor. nor should their severe pain be disregarded. This man has no idea what it's like to have a hysterectomy and then have adhesions afterwards. He has no idea how bad constipation and gas can hurt. If he does, he just doesn't care. My CT scan images and my MRI images show exactly what's wrong and that there is a kink in my colon. This man tried telling me the colon doesn't feel pain. That's when I said you're not understanding. It's gas and it's constipation because my colon is being squeezed. He looked at me dead in the face and rolled his eyes at me. Since it's my medical visit and my medical records, I voice recorded the entire visit and you can hear how disgustingly rude and dismissive he was being. I don't recommend this doctor, especially if you're female. I am so disappointed in the NYU institution for having such a horrible human being. I've been going to their Lexington Ave. location for close to 3 months already…read more While Dr. Iannicello is pretty good, his staff isn't and patients end up paying for this while we're in PAIN. Their insurance/billing department isn't the best. Some procedures require approval from your insurance which is understandable. The problem is that they'll tell you they'll call you once insurance approves so we can proceed and they never call you back. You would give them enough time to then call them and either things have already been approved or, they have not started the process. The receptionist lady is passive aggressive when asked certain questions regarding this. I get it, she's probably tired of this but also, it's not the patient's fault either. We're here in PAIN and it seems like they let work sit and wait for the patient to call so they could move on it. Everywhere else I go, they'll contact my insurance for approval and turnaround is usually about 2 days max but here, about a week, two weeks and ever longer. At one of my visits the lady receptionist didn't check me in till 45 minutes after my arrival and good thing the doctor noticed and was on it. Yesterday morning I called them because again, waiting for insurance to approve pain injections. The receptionist was passive aggressive and sighing as if this was my fault and said she'll speak to the doctor about it and hung up on me after. I had told her I would like to get this done by this week since I will have another insurance and that probably won't kick in till a couple of weeks or who knows how long and here I am IN PAIN because the meds given to me or PT hasn't been making any improvements with my issue. I also remember several times patients calling them saying they never received a callback from them regarding anything the office had to reach out to them. Receptionist would claim they did call but it's interesting the pattern of several people saying the same thing which makes me believe the patients and plus, here I am finding myself being on top of them as if I work there. I have not received any calls from the office and at this point I don't even feel like calling them and dealing with the receptionist while am in PAIN so decided to write this review so others could be aware of things that may happen when visiting this place. UPDATE: 2 days after leaving my review. I have not received a call from anyone at this office. I decided to call my insurance and they told me they just received the request from them today and they approved it right away for me to get my injection shots for my PAIN. I called their office and told them I have not heard back from them and the receptionist placed me on hold and came back asking me what time tomorrow I would like to go it. My theory was right all along about this place. The leave the patient's information just laying on their desk and do nothing about it unless you call in and they'll blame insurance or anyone else to cover up their actions. Thankfully because I was on top of them, I'll be able to get my shots before my current insurance ends. To say the least, this shows lack of consideration and is also HORRIBLE on their part given the circumstances patient's are enduring and the trust they give them.

I arrived on 10/28 at 2:42 PM for my 2:45 PM appointment to see Dr. Mann for the progressively worsening pain in my neck/ back / shoulder/ elbow & both hands . I promptly filling out the required paperwork and returning it to the receptionist, I was asked to wait. After waiting for approximately 15 min, I approached the receptionist to ask if Dr. Mann was running on time. I was assured that he was and was told to continue waiting. Ten min later, I inquired again and received the same response. At 3:17 PM, I was finally brought to an exam room, where an assistant took my blood pressure, which was noticeably high. I asked how high, she said 167 over (and I didn't hear the rest).I waited an additional 10 min. in the exam room before I returned to the receptionist area to inquire about the delay. One receptionist was kind enough to check on the doctor and informed me that he was on his way. I was taken to a different Room by the lovely male assistant. I'm guessing Dr. Mann finally received my paperwork as he had questions which he asked the male assistant to ask me. The assistant walked back and forth 2 times to deliver my responses to him. I had to ask, why did he not just come into the room and ask me these questions in person. When Dr. Mann did enter the room, there was NO apology or acknowledgment of the long wait. Instead, his demeanor was brusque and unwelcoming, which made me feel as if my time and health concerns were inconsequential. Rather than addressing my questions directly, he seemed annoyed, and when I mentioned the delay, he dismissed my concern by saying, "No one goes to a doctor and be seen at the exact appointment time." He further went on to insisted he was not late as I was taken into the exam room and seen By who! the assistant who ONYL took my blood pressure while texting on her phone. Additionally, despite my elevated blood pressure, he neither acknowledged it nor offered further guidance, which left me feeling as though my health was not being taken seriously. How could you allow a patient to leave with elevated blood pressure levels. He then said there are other patients he was seeing. Fine, not an issue. I was just asking to be communicated with. I told him he had poor bedside manners and it went even more left. He even told me I'm not making the situation any better. I asked how long will this visit take as he was 45 min late. He then insisted again he was NOT late and with an attitude stated "as long as I wanted it to" Pardon, how do you tell a patient that. This interaction ended after two minutes. He stormed out the exam room left me behind & headed directly to the front desk and stated abruptly "she can leave". As a health care professional we take an oath to do no harm. Waiting for so long without updates, feeling dismissed, and dealing with a lack of empathy can make a difficult situation so much harder. Healthcare providers should show compassion, professionalism, and respect and no one should have to leave an appointment feeling worse than when they arrived. For me it was the lack of communication and empathy from that initial receptionist and doctor. I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect both timely care and basic courtesy, and neither of these should be compromised, especially in a healthcare setting. I think we all deserve a healthcare provider who prioritizes not only our physical health but also treats you with the respect and compassion every patient deserves. TLDR: Very Bizarre Experience that left a very negative impact on my son and me…read more My son had a freak accident and fell, hurt his right foot. Went to CityMD... they did X-rays, told us it's a "small bone fracture". Referred us to a podiatrist - Deloor Podiatry. Went literally 3 days later and we saw Dr. Francis. She was amazing with my son. She told him "his season was over" but at least he didn't need a cast. She advised us to take care of it, elevate the injured foot, ice daily to reduce swelling, don't put weight on it, wear the boot. Her diagnosis - "the fracture will heal by itself, in about 4-5 weeks. Gave him a script for ibuprofen." And to get new x-rays and return in 2 weeks. We left assured and informed. Then it went downhill. A week went by, the office called telling me we have an appointment to see Dr. Jose Loor... and that we needed to come in right away. I let the office know - my son didn't get his x-rays done yet and it hasn't been 2 weeks! What is going on? And what happened to Dr. Francis?!! The receptionist simply says: "oh, no you are to see Dr. Loor now. Dr. Francis is not here anymore." WHAT?! Ok, it will be fine. They have my son's details and file. After we got the new x-rays done at Lenox Hill Radiology, we made the appt to go back to see Dr. Loor. Checked in. Paid a $30 co-pay. Met Dr. Loor, he examined my son's injured foot. Proceeds to ask "how did you injured your foot? Where is the pain?" Then he says "He needs surgery to remove the small piece of bone fragment." And a slew of details about what needs to happen, get his PCP to clear him for surgery, right away. This Saturday is open". I asked - "what about the new X-rays? Does it show the foot has worsen?". He then went to check the X-rays. Continues to tell us "surgery is the best option and we should get it done ASAP. Otherwise he will be in a hard cast for 12 weeks." I was dizzy from the fast pace sales pitch for surgery. Before we left, he made the receptionist scheduled us back in 2 days. (She even questioned him... in 2 days?). I took the referral note for my son's PCP. Full stop. I asked my son's PCP, does he need surgery? She recommended a 2nd opinion. We did. 2nd opinion says "he's 17, it's mending by itself. Give it 2-3 weeks and use the boot." Never looked back. Please parents - do what's best for your child. Due diligence check and go with your gut. My gut told me - "don't jump to surgery, not everything the doctor says is gospel. Surgeons always like to CUT. But not always the only option". PSA: I'm not sure if anyone else experienced this but I received numerous calls from multiple "different" individuals working for this podiatry office - constant hounding for me to schedule the surgery. Even after I said "No. We are not moving forward with surgery and will be getting a 2nd opinion." - 3 different people called me. Then Dr. Loor called me to confirm surgery. He tells me "Dr. Francis is not a surgeon, she wouldn't know what to recommend."Just WOW. Threw his own colleague under the bus. Either (1) they don't connect with each other or (2) it's a high pressure sales tactic to ensure you go through with surgery. Please check your insurance activity! Good luck.

Some pretext about measuring the length of my legs? Maybe he realized how sketchy he'd been, because a couple weeks after that he finally decided to switch to a treatment that actually fixed the issue (?!). After months!
