Extremely rude and uncaring…read more I came here to have two procedures done. There was no one upstairs to help guide you to go downstairs nor was there any signs. When you enter the building there is a lobby but there stairs upstairs and downstairs for you to check in. It was unclear where to go exactly. After going upstairs fruitlessly I realize I had to go downstairs. I checked in and the front desk was okay. I didn't like how they called your name and spoke what procedure you were getting very loudly. Everyone in the waiting room could hear. The procedure I needed to have required me to have a full bladder. Unfortunately my bladder was not full, so I had to drink water and wait. The technicians were cruel and very uncaring. They made fun of me because I ended up over drinking water and I had to pee very urgently and then the appointment took longer than necessary. I don't understand why technicians think it's okay to make fun of patients behind their backs and in front of their faces very loudly so the patient can hear. The procedures needed to be used on a full bladder And on an empty bladder. if my bladder was so empty why didn't they do the empty one first instead I sat there and waited almost four and a half hours for a procedure that I was told with only take 15 minutes. What a waste of time for cruel and mean service. I would avoid this location at all cost.

Thank you "BRMI" staff for always going above and beyond helping others in need!!!!!…read more I truly hope this post will shine light on these incredibly talented, educated and phenomenal staff members. They never fail to provide quality patient care. Also, if I may give a big thank you to Katherine F. in the CT department for always being so kind and extremely knowledgeable within her profession, it is obvious to me that she constantly strives to be the absolute best teacher, CT technologist and a extremely supportive uplifting coworker. I also had the satisfaction to be kindly welcomed by fellow CT technologist Christina P. Radiologic Technologists John D. and Jessica. Nurses Marina and Ashley and in the MRI department the magnificent Mike, and Alex. I can not begin to expand on the great empathy, and companion these professionals have for their patients. Thank you!

They've been saying I'm next in line since 1:45. Again, an X-Ray. Office manager was extremely rude. I'm just sitting here quietly waiting and she is screaming at anybody who comes near her, saying that Covid is delaying things. Meanwhile, they're not great about enforcing social distance or masks in the waiting room for customers or staff. Smells terrible here too.

They all reassured me in the kindest way that it was nothing to be afraid of. The technician who inserted the IV was awesome -- it was very quick and I hardly felt anything. Plus, he joked around with us. My nephew was holding my hand, and the man said, "So long as you don't hit him," or something to that effect. The nurse was lovely, and both she and the technician explained everything as it was going on. It was a positive experience and helped me to have faith and confidence in medical personnel. It means everything to an anxious patient when the staff are kind. I hope that these people keep up their good work. As I made my way from Forest Hills in Queens, I dabbled in thinking that I'm traveling too far for a procedure I can have administered closer to home. I care not to sit in traffic, I've no pressing desire to park in foreign neighborhoods and definitely not any interest to take the two trains necessary, its the quality of the care I'm interested in. My body has taken some lumps along my life's journey, some self inflicted, some hereditary. Either way, it was time to get down to brass tracts and quell my concerns about a few issues, primarily my heart. My cardiologist, Dr. Kuznetsov administered my stress test watching closely for any indications to properly assess my health as it relates to the procedure. The entire staff was incredibility helpful and sincere with their care. I had my own locker to store my personal items, a nice touch.

Let's start with registration and check-in. The process was relatively smooth, although the…read morereceptionist asked for my MRI prescription when I arrived. I checked in at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. appointment, with the MRI scheduled for 11:30 a.m. At around 11:00 a.m., I was called to the desk and given three bottles of liquid. I was instructed to drink two and a half bottles immediately and save the remaining half bottle for right before the scan. That's nearly 48 ounces of liquid in about 30 minutes. Unsurprisingly, I was running to the bathroom every five minutes after that. At 11:20 a.m., I was called into the MRI area. Things seemed to be moving on schedule. After yet another trip to the restroom, I returned to the MRI room for preparation. Because my exam required images both with and without contrast, an IV had to be inserted. First, I made sure I had removed all metal and even took off my wig. Then, of course, I had to use the bathroom again. The technician administering the exam told me the MRI would take about 20 minutes. Next came the IV placement. I informed the technician that I'm a difficult stick and asked him to make sure he had a good vein before attempting the IV. He assured me he found one in my right arm. He hadn't. Then he tried my left arm and again confidently said he had found a vein. He hadn't. When he prepared for a third attempt, I told him that if he couldn't get it this time, I would proceed without the contrast. Thankfully, he called in another staff member, who found a vein on the first try. Then came the MRI itself. I was in the machine for at least 35 minutes--far longer than the 20 minutes I had been told to expect. During the scan, I informed the staff that I urgently needed to use the bathroom. They told me there were only two minutes left, which somehow turned into another five minutes. By the end of it all, I was simply relieved that the exam was over. Between being required to chug an excessive amount of liquid in a short period of time, the repeated IV attempts, the inaccurate time estimates, and the lack of consideration for my discomfort, this was easily the worst MRI experience I've ever had. I will not be returning to this location and, if I can avoid it, I won't be scheduling another MRI here.
