Let's start with registration and check-in. The process was relatively smooth, although the receptionist asked for my MRI prescription when I arrived. I checked in at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. appointment, with the MRI scheduled for 11:30 a.m. At around 11:00 a.m., I was called to the desk and given three bottles of liquid. I was instructed to drink two and a half bottles immediately and save the remaining half bottle for right before the scan. That's nearly 48 ounces of liquid in about 30 minutes. Unsurprisingly, I was running to the bathroom every five minutes after that. At 11:20 a.m., I was called into the MRI area. Things seemed to be moving on schedule. After yet another trip to the restroom, I returned to the MRI room for preparation. Because my exam required images both with and without contrast, an IV had to be inserted. First, I made sure I had removed all metal and even took off my wig. Then, of course, I had to use the bathroom again. The technician administering the exam told me the MRI would take about 20 minutes. Next came the IV placement. I informed the technician that I'm a difficult stick and asked him to make sure he had a good vein before attempting the IV. He assured me he found one in my right arm. He hadn't. Then he tried my left arm and again confidently said he had found a vein. He hadn't. When he prepared for a third attempt, I told him that if he couldn't get it this time, I would proceed without the contrast. Thankfully, he called in another staff member, who found a vein on the first try. Then came the MRI itself. I was in the machine for at least 35 minutes--far longer than the 20 minutes I had been told to expect. During the scan, I informed the staff that I urgently needed to use the bathroom. They told me there were only two minutes left, which somehow turned into another five minutes. By the end of it all, I was simply relieved that the exam was over. Between being required to chug an excessive amount of liquid in a short period of time, the repeated IV attempts, the inaccurate time estimates, and the lack of consideration for my discomfort, this was easily the worst MRI experience I've ever had. I will not be returning to this location and, if I can avoid it, I won't be scheduling another MRI here. read more

First, the parking lot was completely full including many delivery trucks from Frank's Pizza. I had to find parking on the street. I was kept waiting nearly an hour. I am generally patient and understanding but I had to fast for the test and I felt weak. The receptionist is very caring but the overall experience is worse than I would expect of a medical office which offers appointments. If they are delayed they should respect the time of patients and let them know. read more

Came here for a routine study. Scheduling online was easy. My wait was not very long. The staff members who assisted me were kind and helpful. I would certainly return to this location. However a suggestion I have is that the lockers to store valuables should not be in the changing rooms. This location needs to be more uniformed in their preparations before a procedure. I had to come in on two different dates for two procedures on the same body part using the same equipment. On the first appointment the receptionist did not ask for identification, insurance cards nor the doctor's script. As always when I have an appointment in order for things to go smoothly I always do anything that can be done prior to the appointment. I had filled out all required forms and scanned all required photo identification and insurance cards. The receptionist saw that everything had been submitted and took me straight to the back. I was given an hospital gown and was told to take off my watch. Before the procedure I was told to take off my sneakers and socks. My bear feet was placed on the equipment. On the second appointment a few days later, a different receptionist asked me for Identification. I had filled the forms online and scanned all required identification. Not wanting to have to take off my sneakers and socks for the second appointment , I came barefoot and wore sandals as I am one block away. Wore no jewelry including a watch. Was not given a gown and the technician said nothing to me about being barefoot. She proceeded to place two of what appeared to be light blue head covers on my feet. Remember on the previous appointment I was told to take off my socks and my feet were place on the machine with nothing on them. It's a cold room, not a blanket was offered on both appointments. At least on the first appointment I had a hospital gown on. Concerned about moving, because this procedure required one not to move, I tried to control the shivering due to being cold. So, what is the correct procedures or protocols before an appointment and during the actual exam? Is it left to the individual receptionist or technicians to make up their own as their go. It's my local place for MRI,Cat Scan, Breast update and more. Usually I have to step in to remind the staff they are to busy socializing among themselves and get back to work. You are never taken on time but told to be there 15 minutes before your appt. Than you sign in and wait 20-40 min till they call out your name to fill out the forms. When I get to my appointment, I'm told that my appointment was canceled. I certainly didn't cancel it, WTF? First, I would like to say that my experience on both occasions with the technicians were great, especially when I had my chest scan done. Secondly, my experience with getting my scan results are horrible. I am still awaiting the "text your results to you and your provider". I have a family history of cancer, so one could understand the "pins and needles" Im sitting on waiting for the results of my scans. It is a little over four weeks now and still no response. And to get someone on the telephone - so difficult, nothing but waiting and recorded messages. I am really disappointed, and really frustrated. I took a test there a year ago. I stopped going to them, not because the care is bad. I took a test, and they offered me an enhanced AI generated reading. I said sure, and was about to pay the 40.00 extra. The tech came out and called me in, and then i was told we wont be able to do the enhanced reading. I said fine. My test went well, the tech said dont worry you didnt need the enhancement. I said great thank you! fast forward, i was charged anyway. Didnt find out until i received collection agency letter. I called numerous times, spoke to numerous people at 2095 Flatbush avenue. I spoke to collection agency many times. So today i went in, and was treated very badly. they were nice until i asked to speak to Manager, Rosa T. They refused to talk to me, or give me any info. This is my second visit here in the last 3 weeks. They are very organized. Very pleasant and the technician 's are great. The facility has a parking lot which is cool. The first time l went in the evening, l was in and out. This morning l had an appointment for 11:30 . I was sent a text yesterday to arrive 15 minutes early and text HERE. I followed directions and within 10 minutes, l received my text to sign in and before l knew it was in. My technician for today was Katrina. She was professional, smart and great to talk to. We learned a lot about each other and it really made the time pass by quickly. Lenox Hill Radiology has quite a few locations, but this particular one l highly recommend for the timeliness of service, the professional services of the people who work there and especially when you call in for your appointment, you will always have a conversation with someone who will put a smile on your face. Getting my MRI was not difficult however be prepared you will receive a bill and they will want payment in full. This company does not allow any payment plans and even though I made payments monthly of $100 they still sent me to collections after three months of making consistent payments. They must prefer to sell their accounts off to for pennies on the dollar then get actual paying customers to make payment plans. Unless you have money to pay for your entire bill which mine was over $1200 at once after insurance don't go here. read more

If I could give Lenox hill a 0 I would. I felt discriminated against because of my age. I had a mamo scheduled back in sept/oct at the bay ridge location upon arrival the tech sees my paper and immediately states that I cannot be seen because a doctor needs to be in the office. She said my only option was to have a sono. I asked the receptionist did she have the right to make that judgment call. The tech walked away and stated "everybody gets breast pain, it's not a big deal". I kindly ask for a refund of my copayment and decided to schedule my exams elsewhere. Upon calling the rep for LHR she said that mamo referral was removed from the system. Eventually she finds it and books me for a mamo in November. The day before my exam I received a text message that states that my appointment was canceled and then I would need to call to reschedule so I call immediately and reschedule and I was told that the technician would be leaving early and that I would have to schedule for another day. I pleaded with the rep. She was nice enough to squeeze me in sometime earlier than the previously scheduled appointment, I go to this appointment I make my copayment forms were already signed and completed online I go in the back I was asked to remove my clothing above the waist and which I did and I sat in the waiting room with my gown on when another tech comes to me and tells me that they cannot do my mammogram because I do not have a referral. I had the referral saved on my phone and on the referral it said mammogram and ultrasound. The technician goes back speak to the person that supposed to do the mammogram, and she states that I cannot be seen I need to first start with an ultrasound and then possibly a mammogram if it shows anything , now I've been in pain for months, so I agreed I go in there to do the ultrasound. I only get one breast Examined. I will never do business with Lennox Hill radiology again I would recommend anywhere else. We're in a pandemic, and I saw way too many staff not wearing masks or wearing it below their noses. These are medical professionals -- shouldn't they be setting the standard?! Did not feel comfortable in their waiting area (there are plastic dividers but the chairs are no where near six feet apart), it was super crowded, and the staff not wearing masks... this place did NOT make me feel comfortable. The only person that made me feel comfortable was the technician performing my test, she was quite good. If management is reading this, please have a talk with your staffers. I seriously dislike coming to this place and don't know why I do. Scratch that...I know why! It's cause it's close to work and convenient. But sometimes what's convenient is not always the best thing. This place is always crowded and never less than an hour ordeal; unless you're just doing an x-ray. Highway Imaging is a nice looking place inside, but the staff leaves much to be desired. Nearly each client had some sort of disagreement or argument with one of the receptionists behind the glass. I have never in my 40 years of nursing experienced such a place. It is impossible to get a human on the phone. Even when I call as a professional. 45 minutes on hold until you get through. Then when they answer they disconnect you. My husband then went there to make an appointment for me. He said, I'm here to make an appointment. They said, still sign in. So it was one of those times when doc says you gotta do this just in case and so you do. As a result I had to figure out how to get to Flatbush avenue and Quentin Road. It was certainly unconquered territory for me, thank goodness for google maps (I even discovered that they tell you when the next bus is). The place itself is pretty clean and welcoming. There is a big waiting area and the wait isn't that long, probably due to a well kept schedule. The front desk staff seemed pretty friendly and helpful. The listed neighborhood is Mill Basin, which is slightly wishful thinking. It's Flatbush Avenue, after all, its about 20 minutes walking from The Junction, as in Nostrand and Flatbush crossing, a site of the nearest train station for 2 and 5 trains, the last stop for the 2. read more

She told me I couldn't go to the front desk to check even though I already been sign in. She then told me out loud my insurance did cover it. Which it does because my doctor checkEd before hand. In a word: SCUM. My mother was just there TODAY for a PET/CT scan. She has a $1,000 deductible and was told at the desk she had to pay half of it up front. She was not told this when she called them to set up her appointment, nor did they tell her this when they called her to confirm the appointment. She's 70 years old, on Medicare and not very well off financially. What kind of selfish people demand $500 off a deductible? They refused to allow for billing and refused to allow her to speak to a supervisor. She could not take the test at all and had to come home. These people are not worth EVER going to for ANY test. I love how spacious this facility is. I made my appointment a week ago and came in without any problems. I was thankful for the parking lot because not many places in bklyn provide that these days. Everyone was pleasant here and it was very empty when i arrived for my appointment but i guess since it was after 5pm, and business hrs are turning down so yeah, great experience I do have two issues though. One is the address. The address says Flatbush ave but it is actually on East 45th. So be careful, you will miss it. Issue number two is that there is no wifi service even though it says they have a hotspot. I had to finish up some do documents from work while i waited and the girls at the front told me there is not an access code for their wifi. I really wish to this place 0 stars. If your doctor gives you a referral to this place please ask for another facility. So disorganized. I had scheduled the appointment about a week ago. So they had a while week to call me and let me know that they couldn't get preauthorization for the appointment. So instead harassing me with numerous automated voice mails and texts they should have had the courtesy to call and let me know this. The receptionist even agreed. Obviously so infuriating. It's a Saturday and I had to rearrange my day. I had even called and spoke to the receptionist checking on the insurance verification if it was covered 3 days after I scheduled the appointment. Like I said do not come here. I should note that I too work in a medical office and I know about insurance. Apparently, having an appointment means you to wait an hour before you're seen. And while most of the staff at the desk were helpful, there was one person with red/brown hair who was not only unapologetic about their inability to see people on time, she was rude when you dared to ask how much more you had to wait. I have needed the services of this facility many, many times over the past 25 years. I must say that I have always been treated with kindness and respect, by the front desk staff and the staff who actually do the tests. I have referred many of my family and friends to this facility as well because in addition to courteous service, their radiologists do give thorough and accurate readings of the scans/tests performed in addition to comparisons with previous exams taken at their facility. I will say that at times there has been a longer than expected wait time for some of the tests, but at other times I got taken so quickly that I didn't even have enough time to complete all of the questionaires. I guess like any other health care facility, there are days when patient care can be unpredictable. And of course like anywhere else, technology can be tempermental and "shut down" or need a "breather" to cool down (as in computers and machinery). I also realize (having been a nurse for 40+ years) that some patients take longer to get into position or may need to stop in the middle of an evaluation due to shortness of breath, nausea, anxiety, clostrophobia, etc. So being an experienced person, I always bring a book to read, a crossword puzzle book to complete, and if I am allowed to eat, I pack a non-offensive sandwich and a bottle of water. Of course, if all else fails, there's always the ability to sit quietly, close my eyes and take a nap! By the way, I have been to other radiology facilities at the specific request of some physicians, and I must say that none were any better and two (who shall remain nameless) were horrifically worse! One facility I actually left after almost 2 hours and didn't even get my test done. It left me thinking that if that was the way they treated a fellow health care professional, what were they doing to the unsuspecting public! Very scary thought. read more

I came in today for a chest x-ray. They don't take appointments for this. I told the woman at the desk when I signed in that I was there for a chest x-ray. I waited for half an hour before I was called up to the desk to sign in. I had been there before and all my info was in their computer. Signing in took less than 3 minutes. As soon as I signed in the tech called me in for the X-ray. There was obviously no one in there before me. The x-ray took less than 10 minutes: perhaps less than 5. read more

But whoever answered the phone assured me, and checked to confirm, that I would have no issues with claustrophobia, given the location of the imaging. When I got there, the tech looked at me like I was crazy. I should have known better than to listen to whoever answered the phone for medical advice, but she really shouldn't have been doling it out, with such confidence. Also ridiculously expensive. I have had imaging done at other labs, where my co-payment was much less. And just as an added insult, I had to go back out for a second trip to pick up the disc with the electronic data. This place has repeatedly wasted my time. My husband and I were both patients at different times and each have had separate issues. Husbands issues: - Made an appointment over the phone to arrive at be told it was not made (meanwhile he received confirmation calls) My issues: - made an appointment (which I left work early and got a babysitter) to be called 20 minutes before and told it was cancelled bc they did not receive the necessary approvals. Would have thought then had plenty of lead time to cancel earlier. - rescheduled appointment, received confirmation call and then same day a phone call to change the time. Then 10 min before the appointment a call to make sure I was coming bc it was clear they wanted to leave work early - called to order a cd copy of my MRI (why since it's all it can't be emailed blows my mind). The lady I spoke to was so rude and short, clearly wanted me off the phone. She insisted I had to come into office and order it there and only there. I was obviously annoying her. So I took my day off and drove there to get the cd to be told that 1) I had to pre order and 2)the systems were down. Well guess who now has to cancel a follow up app on Monday. In each of the above instances the finger was pointed at the "call center" without an apology. There was a woman who tried to assist but to be honest overall attitude of the place was awful. I don't really care if it's the call centers fault, and should not be told " it's not us mam" with an attitude. Bottom line, you are a business and ultimately responsible for your vendors and their service. If their service sucks you should either fix it or reevaluate doing business with them. stop wasting people's time. Take ownership of your mistakes and stop pointing the finger at others!!! This was not a one off, every single dealing I have had with this place had been coupled with an issue. A simple apology and ownership can go a long way with customers. Will not be going back.
