The funny thing is that we wanted Italian food but all of those places were closed and our only good option was this place. Although we really enjoyed the Italian cuisine in Cortona, we're so glad we found this place. The server was very accommodating to my wife's soy allergy and made sure it wasn't in any of the food, especially the mayo as it often is. This place makes their own tasty mayo. Most burger places have either a great hamburger and okay fries or great fries and an okay burger. But it's very rare to find the perfect combo like here. We know it sounds crazy but if you're an American and accustomed to good burgers, give this place a try. You might be surprised that it's the best you've ever had! With amazing burgers with unique ingredients and high quality beef, plus great craft beers and a modern yet simple decor. I love The Italian Burger. My favorite burger is the Volare which you can get extra spicy, the fries are really good too, they also carry a big selection of paninnis, I tried one with prosciutto and avocado, and a vegetarian one with eggplant and mushrooms. Having tired of Italian food, the choices on the menu made me °homesick° for a few moments, so I orded the Cheeseburger and fries (only $6.50 euros). Surprisingly, the meat was extraordinary, not one of those frozen patties, the french fries were spectacular, and the burger was topped with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The quality of ingredients were all good, particularly the tomato which was comparable to organic plum tomatoes in the US. Even though the waitress spoke no English, we had no trouble communicating with her in our broken Italian. FYI-- if you are starving at 7:00 pm, this is the only decent place that is open and serving decent grub. All of the other good places are closed, choosing to open at 8 pm, which is much too late for us! FFYI -- They have an immaculate bathroom and the toilet actually has a seat (a rarity at public restrooms in Italy). They got one extra star because of this....LOL
