I LOVE JOE!!!!!!!!!!! Joe is the ONLY person I will ever have so my taxes as long as I am in the state of California, probably anywhere honestly. His demeanor is incredibly patient for a nervous ninny like myself when it comes to tax season. He takes his time, asks questions clearly, and nicely. He's precise and to the point. He really does make tax season so much more bearable than any other year before. Thank you so much Joe for helping me. I greatly appreciate all that you do! read more

So I've never gotten my taxes done professionally. I've always either done them myself, or had family members do them. Since I was my own tax person and never really got big returns, I figured I'd fire the old girl and get me some professional help. Time was getting closer and closer to the dreaded 15th. This place is a block away from my house, I always see their statute of liberty person waving me down, I got a coupon post it on my door and it was my day off right before tax day. So I said "what the hell." I got to meet a very nice lady who was preparing my taxes (mind you it was only a few forms). We had a great convo about life, jobs, pitiful savings APRs, and the like. The most I've ever paid anyone to do my taxes was... well how much is dignity worth? Eh, that's a different story.. but for the *most* part, the most i've paid is $40. So when she told me that my total was $220 (with the $65 coupon post it on my door), I screeched. I mean, could I have come up with the same nice looking return that they say I'll be getting? I don't know, but damn, I'm sure sorry I didn't try to do them myself first. Or even but Turbo Tax or whatever. I think I'm smart enough to figure it out. No? Yes? eh.. guess I'll find out next year. Either way, I don't regret paying that money. It's a hard lesson learned.. well not too hard since I am getting a nice return back. But still, my philosophy is: "why spend money when you don't need to." Period. read more

I went to get my taxes done last weekend and this past saturday I was able to pick up my checks. Normally that's all would have to say. But I have to admit that the customer service was so great, they made everything so painless. We were in and out in less than hlf an hour. So if you have a simple return like I did, this is the place to go. read more

Ameri Tax Service - Accountants Near Me - Long Beach, California

Joe is amazing! He has been my taxes for over 10 years. Very accessible location with plenty of parking.

So my bf and I have been looking around to do our taxes. We all see the liberty tax human statue ppl every where. Despite what you might think it's not bad at all. I opted out of going to the one near my house and decide to go to this location. I must say I'm quite proud of myself to have yelped them. Vince *my tax prep guy* was courteous and very friendly. He was able to answer all my questions. What he wasn't able to answer the site manager joe actually came out to help me as well. Joe was so great to honor the 25% off that's was given on yelp. *score! Overall I got my taxes done within a matter of minutes. And was greeted with nice, friendly & helpful staff. I got more than what I expected. No second look needed. Thanks Vince, & Joe. read more

Ameri Tax Service - This is where I'll be doing my taxes from now on. - Accountants Near Me - Long Beach, California

I have been using Joe Martinez for 20 years. I followed him when he joined Ameri Tax Service & would do so if he relocated to Zimbabwe. His experience in the tax arena is unparalleled. There have been times he has had to communicate with The State of CA, IRS & personal financial advisors. In each case, due to his skill, the outcomes could not have been better. His accuracy, timeliness and follow up are greatly appreciated. I could not recommend a better tax service. read more

Come get your taxes done here! Joe is fabulous. Quick, easy and very comfortable. My new tax guy!

Katherine has been the tax professional for both myself and my fiancé the past two years. I have a complex tax situation and she has been incredible by being so knowledgeable and streamlining the process. She is also a great communicator and explains the process and reaches out by phone or email if there are questions. She is committed to providing the best service and takes real pride in her work. I do not feel as if I am just another anonymous tax ID number to her, or like I am just another pile of documents, as in other major high-volume tax preparation firms. I feel like Katherine takes the time to understand my specific information and to obtain the best results for me. I used to dread having to do my taxes, but now that I have Katherine as my tax person, I feel confident that I am getting great advice and a solid tax return. She is worth every penny! read more

I have used Ameritax in Massachusetts for the past few years. Last year, 2020, I was notified by the IRS that there was an error on my 2019 Federal tax form and I owed $364.74. The employee, Mimi of Ameritax who had done my taxes, immediately located the error. It was her mistake and she now owed the IRS. This was July, 2020. I had two more notices after that although Mimi kept insisting she had paid. I was doubtful so this year, I had HR Block do my taxes. They came up with a $45 refund which the IRS subtracted from the original sum that Mimi had obviously never paid. I paid the new amount and then conversations went back and forth between me, Ameritax and Mimi who kept saying the check was in the mail. Over all of this months, Ameritax insisted that all they owed me, if Mimi never paid, was the penalty and the interest charges. Mimi never paid me back and Ameritax never paid me the penalty and the interest charges. I've given up but am warning everyone. read more

I have what I thought was a complicated return but it took Joe, the office manager, less than an hour to input all of my information! He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. This company is also very generous. The day I was there, tax prep fees were waived for anyone who donated a minimum of $50 to the American Red Cross. read more

I have been going to this location since they opened, several years back. Joe has done an excellent, and expedient job in processing my taxes and assisting with concerns, and amendments for us. He has kept up with the new laws and tax changes (he has certificates all over the walls of his accomplishments) and advising for the upcoming year, and what to expect. Ameri Tax has really gone above and beyond what is expected to extend great customer service, by signing up clients for the California Care, and explaining benefits, and costs, at no charge either. Ameri Tax is always involved in the surrounding community events, because they care. Thanks Joe and all your staff, see you next year!! Darlene and Robert read more

I have going to this location for years. The staff is always nice and Joe the manager is awesome. I would come in with my w2 or 1099s and he would ask a few questions and bingo all done. This is the way to get your taxes done.
