My sandwich was being made this nice young man and I noticed he kept coughing and sniffling. I asked if he was okay and another employee said that he had been diagnosed with the flu and was still forced to work. I took my sandwich, of course and paid for it, it was not the man's fault. But I wasn't even able to eat it after knowing that. I honestly lost my appetite. The boys coworker said they have even had to work the DELI with COVID. I asked a different lady who the manager was and she said that she was not there at the time but her name was Brenda. Even federal guidelines say that sick individuals with contagious diseases should not be working while contagious. Two days later I got the flu. All because of Ingles. These people are being punished because of trying to be responsible. That is completely unfair to the employees and a danger to the public.

After spending 10 minutes navigating an unhelpful phone AI, I was told they couldn't assist me. I then had to track down the staff to retrieve the unwanted substitute items and go inside the store to Customer Service for the correction. The entire process, which is designed for convenience, took over 30 minutes to fix. The store and call-in support systems need to be drastically improved to allow for immediate corrections on-site.

Today I needed a few things and decided I would visit here again, assuming that my first visit was just a one-off and things would be better and our new store would be humming along. WRONG! My visit today was exactly the same or worse in every way. Pictures document the deplorable lack of inventory. You can't sell what you don't have, right?
