Back last fall, I pulled off the rare feat of poking my eye while I was sleeping. I have no idea…read morehow I did this, but I poked it so bad that I scratched my cornea. Have you ever scratched your cornea? I don't recommend it - the pain was awful. Anyway, after a trip to urgent care and a round of antibiotics (and a lot of tearing), I thought it was a good idea to follow up with an ophthalmologist - both to get my eye checked out by a specialist but also because I had never been to one before. My parents had recently been to Dr. Terraciano and had great things to say, so I figured it was meant to be and booked an appointment. This office is a family-run private practice; it was originally founded by Pasquale Terraciano and is now run by his son Anthony. In today's age, I'm used to outpatient doctor offices being affiliated with major hospital systems, so I was really surprised to see this office still standing on its own. That doesn't mean that it's behind the times - the office uses cutting edge technology and has a number of options to treat a variety of eye conditions. After being worked up, I met Dr. Terraciano and Dr. Ross. Both were very kind, thorough, and explained things that were easy for me to understand. I was ultimately diagnosed with an eye condition and they did a great job providing me with options that I could work with to treat it. Since my initial visit, I returned for a follow-up and had a similar positive experience. Everyone I interacted with in the office was friendly, and overall I would definitely recommend Dr. Terraciano if you're looking for an ophthalmologist.

One side of the office has the dental and one side the eyeglasses. Since they take my insurance I'm thinking of maybe taking them for the eyes as well. For now I'm satisfied with the treatment and care my children received.

I went to them in November 2020, great! My son got glasses and I got some contacts. For the past week I've been needing my prescription because I am away at another state. I have no glasses or any contacts. Their hours are supposedly Monday - Friday 10-7. I've called for the past week at random hours, of course before closing, no answer. I'm so upset because it seems I will have to go to another eye doctor, probably come out of pocket for an exam and lenses. This is ridiculous. I'm so upset!!!!

The Doctor listens to what I want to achieve and he makes recommendations based on that. My face has a scar from cancer surgery. The Doctor used a dermapen, which is a non-surgical treatment and it reduced the appearance of the scar and fine lines. I also had beautifying injections and the results were amazing. After this treatment, the wrinkles disappeared, something I haven't seen in years. In addition, he did a good job, removing tags on my neck which for the first time, never came back. I treated myself to a wonderful facial in his office and this left me fresh and glowing. Louise, the office manager is exceptional. She is very friendly, welcoming, helpful and informative. On each visit, I had a five star experience at a very fair price. The Doctor has a light touch and takes his time with each procedure. He is not pushy. I usually, never have to wait. The lady on the phone said that we would need to come twice in order to get a prescription. She also mentioned that we could order the lenses through them, but did not say that we had to -- and she definitely did not say that their prices were five times higher than online stores or fair market value. She explained there was a $140 exam fee, which I was perfectly fine with. At the visit, my wife was pressured to purchase a one-year supply for $2,000. When she called me, I told her that it is a ridiculous price, to decline and simply get the samples and the prescription. Instead, her card was charged $760 for a three-month supply without clear authorization. When we noticed the charge, I immediately called to cancel the order because we only wanted the prescription. The doctor and staff were upset and rude. They told me we were required to buy the lenses through his office and even asked for the trial lenses back. I returned the samples in order to receive a refund for lenses we never approved in the first place. To his credit, he refunded everything except the $140 exam fee, stating it was for his time. However, when I asked if we could at least receive the prescription since we paid for the visit, he refused. When I asked what I was getting for the $140 fee, his reply was, "Nothing at this point." We ended up going to LensCrafters at the Westchester Mall. Their exam was $144, but they accepted our insurance and our copay was only $50. They provided a week of trial lenses, and we purchased a three-month supply for $164. We are now two weeks after the fact and my daughter loves her contact lenses. We ended up paying $214 versus $760 for the exact same thing. This experience felt more focused on selling overpriced products than providing patient care. I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about pricing and prescription release policies before scheduling an appointment. I am sure Dr. Bernstein will reply to this review with some nonsense.
