Went to this AMC to watch the Superman 2025 movie. We went in the GCL experience which was very similar to IMAX. The seats were quite comfortable and the screens were nice. Audio quality was solid as well. My dad needed a wheelchair and they were friendly and helped accommodate. Overall positive experience at the theater. We also liked how they had free water cups. Only went once and my experience was good, so not sure why there's so many negative reviews. Perhaps if I went more times, I may notice more aspects but for now seemed good.

This is a good AMC theater location. The staff were very courteous and helpful, and the screens were very large. I had a good movie experience.

The worse and most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat on. They felt cheap with the shiney slippery leather.

Went to see a kids movie so of course we had to be downstairs. Downstairs is downgraded and the upstairs is the comfortable seating of course. When I was sitting in auditorium 8 in the far back seats watching a movie tolerating for a couple of hours it was annoying. View was fin but the chairs made cheap shiney slippery leather that I kept slipping as Im just wearing cotton fabrics. Moved around a lot and couldn't enjoy the movie. It's worse than sitting in a plane with spirit airlines seating and I could even tolerate being on an airplane than this. The auditorium was clean and lay out was nice. But they need to change the seating. Mind you I'm healthy and don't have any back problems. Im usually good about tolerating most things but this was the worse seats ever. Upstairs in the Parlor rooms of course are nice and plush but they can't half ass it.

Auditorium 21 is on the 2nd floor. It is a row of seats for adult only 21+. The seats were torn up. You have room rest which is decent if no one is walking by. The section could us a update. You can are far back and high up to see the bottom of the movie screen. Overall, parking was easy and they had the bucket I wanted.

I've been coming to this theater since it was Cinetopia. Usually I go to the big screen GXL theater. This time, opted to try their 21 & over theater. The screen was smaller of course, than the big theater with GXL. But I did love how comfortable the loveseats were, and the ottoman to put my feet up. The smaller theater for 21 & over, is ideal for couples.

This place is disgusting. Seats are worn and broken. The theater was itself disgusting, take a look at the photos. @ almost $20/person... I will never return...

From the second floor - in auditorium 18 - these side lights were practically on bright the entire time.

It is literally no wonder the movie theater industry is dying. The pandemic taught most of us that we can tolerate our entertainment at home. As is with most places in public, movie theaters are good breeding grounds for germs, so coming and partaking in a movie with a group of other strangers better yield a positive experience. There is something magical about watching an amazing movie with a giant crowd (ie. RRR), but those films are few and far between nowadays. I don't subscribe to monthly cinema programs because I don't really want to see everything, but when I do come, I would like the place dark and quiet so that the movie can truly be enjoyed. You still have to deal with the nitwit talkers, and testers from time to time, but damn - the snack packaging is plastic and noise a lot of the times so you have to contend with that. Maybe offer some small paper cups so that the contents of these bags can be emptied before the endless barrage of trailers ends. That wasn't a particular issue at this screening, but it has been a long one coming. Today the trailers ended and the ceiling lights dimmed, but these side lights stayed on. While this was a quick iPhone photo that held the iris a little longer than usual, make no mistake these lights were bright. I spent a good 30 minutes of the almost three hour movie noticing them and trying to ignore them. The only light one should see in a movie theater is the Exit sign and the image bouncing off the screen. That's it. I thought about going and finding someone, but this place is a ghost town, there was barely one employee for selling tickets and concessions for the entire second floor. Actual crimes could be committed and nobody working here would find out about it. So upon leaving and bringing it up to an employee - she said its because of tripping hazards. I know the seats below have no tripping hazards, and these seats with the ottomans are way behind these lights. So if this is seriously the theater's response....Sure, Jan. Ok. The ottomans can be a little tricky as they can either be against the wall or pulled towards the seat. It is obvious from any angle that these movie theater companies are not spending any money on anything to improve the experience. They want you to drop nearly $30 on a concessions bundle when you buy your ticket online. I've been in the bigger auditoriums many times. I've seen a good 10+ films at this theater alone in the last two years and these lights weren't that bright. I am certainly not coming back if this is the new normal. AMC likes to use Nicole Kidman's fancy accent to tell us all "We Make Movies Better" just before the overhead lights dim. No AMC. No. You aren't making movies better at the Vancouver Mall 23.

This is my go-to movie theater. It's convenient, the price is right (join there A list club for cheaper tickets and money back rewards), and the theaters are clean. Could it be better? I'm sure it could but all in all, it serves its purpose and we happily attend at least twice a month. Idk what all the fuss is about in the bad reviews. It's a movie theater, not a 5 star establishment. The bathrooms aren't Walmart level but they sure aren't the Ritz Carlton either.

Horrible experience. Their soda carbonation was broken, the AC was off, and the workers were very unhelpful.

(It was lowkey painful seeing how exactly the same it was, honestly.) It's a big theater, with so many screens that you'd think they'd get every movie.

It's expensive but you're paying for the experience and I'd say it's worth it once in a while. I saw 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple here, kind of a weird choice for a movie theatre where you eat dinner- it was pretty gnarly. The good: -couches/comfy seating -actual food -friendly staff -neat atmosphere The less good but not necessarily bad: -having to wait to be brought to the theatre by a host -much more expensive than a regular movie theatre -no cherry coke (but they do offer a Roy Rodgers) -the popcorn is REALLY buttery which is cool if you're into that but I was overwhelmed by the sogginess

I take reviews very seriously. A 5-star review isn't terribly difficult to come by with me. I have…read moresaid it over and over again... Simple expectations - good service, good food, good product, good experiences. In the world of service, that isn't difficult to provide. To get a 1-star review from me takes actual WORK. I must say, Studio One Theaters absolutely earned in every-single-way, this review. Let's start with purchasing tickets online. The platform is poor. The tickets are double the cost of any other small local theater. By the time you get to the purchase page, you're total will double in fees. They don't give you a confirmation number... you just have to assume your purchase went through. No confirmation email, nothing. The only way I knew I had made a purchase was by the charge on my credit card. The parking situation is poor. I was fortunate that I found a spot but the overall parking lot situation is a nightmare. We got stuck for 10+ minutes trying to leave, we finally escaped through an alley way. Alright, let's get to the actual experience. We arrived a bit early hoping to get our seats early or enjoy a drink at the bar. We stood around for 10 minutes while staff ignored us. Three behind the bar, one behind the register, two random floaters. They didn't as much as acknowledge our existence. After one of them finally got off the phone, we were acknowledged and told we needed to wait. We took a seat at the bar. I ordered a 10oz wine that was served in a tiny 8oz glass. The metal-and-glass bar was noticably dirty, the dust was thick on the shelves of the bar overhead. We were promptly ignored by the staff, only to get their attention when it was time to tab-out. Approximately 30 minutes before the movie, we were finally granted access to the theater. The manager invited us to the theater we had tickets for. We were then held hostage as we slowly crawled down the hallway while we were tormented with his pre-scripted speech. It started much like the disney script of "we have 45 members of our cast and crew" that work here 24/7 and 365. First, leave disney's script to disney (left lower-case so the review doesn't get flagged). None of the sales pitch was believable. This is a tiny little theater in Portland... the big-brand theaters don't even employ that many people per / theater. Much less, could any reasonable person believe that a theater has chefs and staff that work 24/7 at a theater open Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM and Saturday-Sunday from 8:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Doesn't even make sense. Then, out came the iPad pics of mediocre food he was trying hard to sell. No thanks. Once seated, our waiter appeared to take our orders. We asked for a few minutes to review the menu. The prices were outrageous. That's a difficult comment to get out of me... price doesn't matter when the product stands behind it's value... this however, immediately felt off. The waiter felt impatient and pushy. The minute we didn't order a ridiculously overpriced alcoholic beverage, he was done with us. He did return 10 minutes later, we resolved to a "medium" popcorn for $11 of which, was TERRIBLE. Honestly, I didn't know you could make bad popcorn. Studio One Theaters has BAD POPCORN. Tasteless, burnt, just awful. Once we ordered the popcorn, declined $30/ea appetizers and $40+/ea entrees, the waiter was done with us. He huffed away, never to return. The popcorn showed up, salt-less, cold, burnt, and tasteless. We pushed it around the weird metal bowl it came in and ultimately, gave up. The movie started and the talking started. First, everyone in the row behind us completely ignored the movie for the first 30-minutes. The water that had abandoned us completely and fully ignored us but had fog-horn volume conversations taking order, laughing, conversing, completely ignoring the movie that had just started. Then came the food. Orders being delivered, one after another on loud plates with chunky silverware. Nothing better than listening to spoons and forks scrape against plates while people conversed as though they were the only ones in the room... it then got worse... ...the people directly behind us decided to call the theater out on their less-than-mediocre menu. Everything they ordered was terrible, of which, we heard them very loudly and very clearly complaining to each other. When they complained to the waiter (mind you - WHILE the movie is playing!) he decided to argue before taking away the horrible food. THEN, making things even WORSE, here comes the manager. He decides to want a full narrative of what was wrong with the food and why. After a lengthy 5+ minute conversation, he then offered them more food, they declined because it was so bad. They left 1/2 way through the movie. The talking never stopped. Someone finally yelled out "shut up" near the end of the movie. People were rude. The staff was awful. The food and beverage was less than mediocre. This isn't worth a second try. Horrible.
