Update: After over a year I purchased a ticket that happened to be in the same seat that the roof has been leaking on for well over a year. Staff are aware. They do not care. Management doesn't care. No other seat available for my handicap mother. We had to move to another theater and wait 40 mins for a new show. No offer for a refund. Nothing. The theater is old and falling apart. The leather in the seats is pulling off, the ceiling is falling apart, the manager is VERY rude, and the customer service is super slow. Unfortunately, it the only theater in Stillwater so they leave it to rot for no reason. This is my new fave AMC theater! The only thing that keeps me from rating 5 stars, is the lack of competency of those working in concessions, and very little supervisory guidance. Each time I have gone, I have had to provide guidance (at the request of the concession worker) on how to complete some of the simplest tasks. Since I have experience with concessions management, I dont mind, but it does effect customer service. The establishment is clean, they have THE BEST automatic reclining seats (with heaters), an excellent menu, and a wonderful bar! Movie tickets are very reasonable (I paid $10 for 2 adult tickets on the AMC app yesterday)! We spent way more on concessions though...LOL! I'll definitely be back! read more

Have you ever walked into a friend's house and it looked pretty clean, but it smelled like feet? That's what the bathroom here is like. With 3 employees standing around chatting, and only one of them receiving tickets as people walked through, I feel like someone could have cleaned that bathroom. Blech. Overall, we loved the movie, the comfy seats, and the cash register was very friendly! Our 2 stars is due to our bar service. I want to start off by saying I really do feel bad for the guy because it seemed like he was either filling in for someone or was new. If he was actually the bartender...yikes. If we give him the benefit of doubt, he at least should have had help from someone. We spent over $20 for 2 cocktails that tasted like carbonated water. Our drinks took over 15 minutes to make and he clearly didn't know how to make them. He was not measuring anything correctly and took his time. If he wasn't actually the bartender, we wish he would have at least said something to explain all of the troubles. We would have left and saved him the stress, made it to our movie on time, and saved over $20 instead of getting carbonated water. I really hate to be this way but it was disappointing:( read more

The movie was good. But, bought the $17 pop and popcorn combo, and that is where the problems started. No Mr. Pibb, lemonade, Mello Yellow, Sprite, or a few that I tried in desperation. Had to get a cherry Coke which was last on my list. Then to the dual station butter machine. Both out of order. Well, let's go see the movie. After a minimum of a 5 minute wait for the usher attendee, we were able to go seat ourselves. The entire concession stand experience was horrible. read more

Who the hell is running this place? It's Friday night and I've waited for over 20 min in a short line because there is only one person behind the counter. This person sells all the tickets and takes all the snack orders... The ticket counter I assume is only for looks. I ended up barely making to the movie on time. I ended up getting a movie in theater 9. Took me a minute to figure out where theater 9 was because the sign is broken or burned out and the theater is ice freakin cold. I'm the one that is always rolling his eyes because the wife is complaining about it being cold but Christ its cold as a witches tit in here. It's 15 degrees outside and it's barely 20 degrees inside. Multiple water stains on the ceiling and two ceiling tiles have fallen out leaving holes behind. One of them appear to be showing the insulation or ductwork behind it. This place is looking trashy. The theater was so cold it's reason enough not to come back until it warms up outside. I'm going to end this review here so I can get back to rubbing my hands together for heat. I asked an employee if they turn the heat up because it was ridiculously cold. She politely apologized and went upstairs to do so. It never really got warm but at least they were nice and sincerely apologized and attempted to resolve the issue. UPDATE 2: I hesitantly returned to watch another movie the next night. There was both a person at the ticket counter and two employees behind the snack counter. Time spend in line and speed of service was adequate. This time our movie was in theater 2. As soon as we entered the theater me and my wife both looked at one another an smiled. It's WARM in here! Thank God! The ceiling tiles were all there, no stains, and the place looked clean. Because of this I have updated and raised my review from a 2 star to a 3 star. Looking for something to do while traveling for work. Didn't expect much based on the building condition. It's old and looks outdated. But, this AMC is much nicer than OKC locations. They have reclining, heated seats. Amazing! They have a small bar if you want an adult beverage with your movie. Restrooms were clean. Entire place seemed clean. read more

I am guessing there have been a lot of improvements since many of these negative reviews were made. I was hesitant after reading them, but pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the theater. Not at all a decent movie theater, but its the only one we have here in Stillwater. Capitalism at work ladies and gents. No real competition and issues don't get fixed and the building isn't updated with any real significance. The lobby faces west with a full set of windows. That equals an incredibly hot lobby during the summer. The movie theaters themselves are a 50:50 shot for comfort. My recommendation is to dress in layers. The theater itself seems like a cheap 1980s build and it's very obvious. I've never personally seen cockroaches but I'm not going to look for those. We've been incredibly disappointed in the movie releases as of late. Movies like Ex Machina (it's a college town this movie is perfect for this demographic) were in the theater for maybe a week, but we'll get kids movies in there for weeks on end. I'm currently trying to figure out if they'll get Hardcore Henry this weekend for the opening, but they haven't updated the movie selection on Fandango (which is advertised heavily prior to movies). It opens on Saturday and it's currently Wednesday. In fact, nothing is listed past Thursday. Guess we'll be driving an hour to go to dinner and a movie. This is just two examples. I didn't see Hail Ceasar playing either come to think of it. Almost 3 weeks after its release Deadpool still has a dedicated theater. To be honest, I might be a little impressed if they get Hardcore Henry this weekend. The person in charge of getting movies on their release date is truly horrible. So all in all, if you don't buy the concession (it's incredibly expensive. We buy a large coke and it's in excess of $7 there is a large popcorn and large drink combo that's $20), you can get 2 non-3D tickets for under $20. 3D movies get pretty pricey. Go next door to BWW to eat a cheapish dinner (that' overpriced too unless you eat the lunch menu) and you'll see your movie in some resemblance of comfort and will be able to talk about it with your friends and critique it on Facebook. But it isn't any kind of stellar movie viewing experience that you'll be impressed with. read more

It all started okay. Then after starting five minutes late we had to watch 19 yes 19 commercials. For which were for ointment. Then after the incredibly long wait the movie finally started. At about the halfway point that is when the rain started falling inside the theater. We had an absorbent amount of rain falling through the roof into the theater for the rest of the movie. What is wrong with these people Carmike before them and now AMC if they would only listen to the people and fix the problems everything will be okay. This theater isn't the nicest, but sometimes you just can't justify the drive to OKC to see a movie. The theater has typical movie foods, candy, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, and some premium options like cotter candy and flavored salts for the popcorn. But literally every time I eat soda and popcorn here I feel sick to my stomach. I don't think the mangers check to ensure those teen employees clean things very well. You can usually see the main movies in Stillwater. But sometimes some films you must go to Tulsa or OKC to see. I'm not sure why. It seems random to me. My husband and I went to sit down for our 3:45 movie at 3:35 but were not allowed to sit down because they were still cleaning. At 3:50 they let us enter to theater but the 3D/RealD did not work. Several people from the movie left to notify workers that the film was not working properly but only gave us different glasses. These new glasses of course did not work and the movie continued in a blurry state. After five people asked they stopped the movie and tried fixing it. They are currently still trying to fix it but have offered us free movie passes as compensation. read more

They make you buy tickets at the concession stand. The lobby is so small, people are crammed in like sardines with no order. Missed our movie start because of the time it took to buy. Everytime I think this theater can't get worse it goes and proves me wrong. The sound has always been bad and the screens subpar. During my latest experience the whole theater smelled of paint, you had to wait in line to buy tickets in the same line as concessions (which was understaffed), and the theater was hot. On top of that I was charged $18.50 (!!!) for nachos and a medium drink, the former of which was a bag of generic chips and a jello cup full of luke warm cheese. The movies have forsaken this town and we are forced to wander in a barren wasteland where we can only suckle at the teat of local film overlords. read more

If you don't live in Stillwater but want to know what living here is like, a visit to Carmike 10 is in order. Basically, there's nothing atrociously bad about the theater: They show all the main releases, they've got okay seats, etc. However, like everything in Stillwater, it's about 15-20 years behind the times. The picture quality and sound (compared to a theater you'd go to in Tulsa or OKC) are bad, the selection is unimaginative, and the food is standard for tiny-town movie theaters. Basically, Carmike 10 would go out of business if a multiplex from any decent-sized city opened a branch here. However, that's not going to happen, so Carmike 10 stays in business because it's the only theater here. Welcome to the craphole known as Stillwater. UPDATE: Recently we tried to find out showtimes at this theater. None were listed online (at either the Carmike website or other sites like Moviefone or Fandango). Plus, they didn't even have a recording when we called their phone number. Finally, we drove by, and there weren't even any times on their marquee! Literally, people were pulling up by the box office, getting out, and asking the guy at the window what the showtimes were! read more

If I could give a zero I would! This is the absolute worse run and operating theatre I've ever seen! The only reason people go here is because it's the only theatre here in Stillwater! We often drive to Tulsa or Okc to avoid this place! When is this theater going to be torn down and or made into a well needed low income/homeless shelter???? This theater is the only one around 30 miles or so. That may be only one of many reasons this theater is almost tolerated by the locals. The restrooms are one step above "the worst toilet in scotland" scene in Trainspotting (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJrWlHRT-18) The screen was dimly lit and one of the 3 "exit" signs was shining red light on the screen, washing out the picture even more! The seats do not recline. Of every movie I have ever seen there, never have a Dolby or THX sound trailer played before the picture because over half of the 'surround sound' speakers do not work. The center channel speakers make the characters sound like they are speaking dialog with a mouthful of saltine crackers dipped in mescaline. The glass between the theater and the projection room was smeared with finger prints of zip popping teenagers, making the DLP picture look fuzzier a Barbara Walter's Interview with vasaline on the lens. Avoid this theater at all cost. This theater is a motivation for an investment in a decent home theater or trip to Warren Moore Theater (which survived the May 2013 Moore Tornado!) read more

Like everyone else says, this is pretty much your only option unless you drive to Tulsa or OKC. Super overpriced concession; typical of any theater though. Crappy bathrooms that seem haunted. The biggest sin of them all is the screens are too dark. You'd think that if they're the only spot in town for movies, they'd at least make the movies watchable. A few positives though: may be hot in the lobby, but the theaters are super cold, Seats are passable, and it's very easy to sneak in. You can just walk in from the front door if you act like you own the place. Be wary movie hopping though, they do watch the halls. read more

Pretty nice movie theater for Stillwater! The student discount is great, and some of the specials (such as $1 soda and $1 popcorn on Tuesdays) are pretty good. Now, aside form Tuesdays, the concession prices are pretty ridiculous, but it wouldn't be a movie theater if it didn't have 6,000% markup!! One actual negative, in my opinion, is that the lobby is fairly small, so it get's pretty crowded during weekend evening, especially when a highly anticipated new movie is out. This wouldn't be as bad if they would have set lines for the movie, but it's pretty much just everyone crowded in the lobby. Not a huge deal, but slightly inconvenient. Anyways, they keep the theater pretty clean and I always have a good time here. read more

This is a genuinely terrible theater. If there was another theater in town I would never set foot in this establishment. I've now learned that the AMC "Classic" designation must mean a theater that AMC bought and has made no changes to. One of my first problems is that unlike nearly any other theater they don't have any showtimes until late the late afternoon, even on the weekends. Additionally, this AMC does less than most other locations in respect to benefits for Stubs and/or A-List customers. Regardless of volume, they typically only have one or two registers open for ticket purchasing and concessions. They do not have the stubs lane where you can skip the line like every other AMC has. Additionally there is no ticket taker so if I buy my tickets online, I can't just go to that individual to scan my ticket and get it quick. I have to wait in the typically long and slow moving line to simply get my ticket that I already bought scanned. The interior of the establishment is incredibly dated. The seats are still standard uncomfortable stadium seats that are crammed together. The projection and sound equipment are also subpar to what you'd expect from an AMC theater. Twice now I have gone to see movies recently there where the screen projection was covering the entire wall, not just the screen, making me have to go get an employee to "fix" it but even then it is a subpar projection. Everything about this theater drives me crazy but I want to see these movies so it's my only option. Update: not only do they not have any shows early in the day, also no shows after 8 pm on a Thursday. Frustrating. read more

We ordered food while purchasing the movie tickets, my sons hotdog had a hair on it, the $12 chicken tenders, were 4 little tiny pieces of chicken, a complete rip off, way to high prices when you could drive to Sapulpa or Tulsa, for way nicer theaters, don't waste your $100 there. read more

The last several times we've came here, there was a problem with the movie starting. We've had to go get help from an employee to fix the blank screen. Not sure why this isn't monitored better.
