What a great place to com watch Devil Wears Prada 2 with the ladies! This location features a AMC McGuffin's Bar. We decided to gather libations before the movie. There are SO MANY specialty drinks at this full bar. All of them are prepared efficiently by 2 bartenders. They also have middle and top shelf alcohol available here. I spotted Glenlivet 12, Makers Mark, Dolce Vida, etc. here at the bar shelves. There is only 1 bartop seating for two option here. You can take your drinks into the theatre, which is nice. My drink was delicious. I ordered the OG Watermelon Crush. It was refreshing and well made. A couple of my friends did Aperol Spritz I think. The theatre is well maintained and clean. They have a lot of candy options, about 4-6 food options (pizzas, nuggets, hot dogs, popcorn, etc.), and a million drinks. Lines are split into regular customers and AMC A-List. Only downside about this location is they do not have reclining seats. This theater is located on the northeast end of the mall. There is plenty of free parking available on both side. You're able to pre order your tickets and select your seats online or in person. I recommend their AMC app, makes it easy and convenient to select a movie and even order food/beverages to have ready. I've seen this location really busy a handful of times, but for the most part it's been nice. Theaters are clean and spacious. Food and popcorn has been fresh and good quality. The bar ,Mac Guffins, located inside serves cocktails and beers. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The prices are average and there are discounts for early weekday showings. I've been to many AMC movies and this one so so convenient because I can walk to it in minutes!!! There is ample parking. If you choose to eat before you go there are so many options. It's clean, from what I saw. The concession has the common options like others but this one has a bar!!! The seat are comfortable however if giving the choice and maybe one day they will upgrade to the recliner type chairs. One of the best features is you get to pick your own seat!! I was so excited to watch GOAT since it's been so hyped up on ROBLOX. Me and my boyfriend came in late because of traffic to meet up with my boyfriend's mom who already bought our tickets and she went inside with his younger brother since he was getting anxious about the movie starting. We got inside the theater and tried calling his mom but she wasn't answering her phone so we looked around the different theaters to try to hear where GOAT was playing and even asked other guests there if they were going to the same one. However, two employees rushed up to us and told us we had to leave which made us late to the movie. It was terrible and I am so disappointed. CLEAN!? I don't think so! It was a nice movie theater. Just walking up to the entrance is grimmy and gum stuck to the ground. We understand that you can't control all things but do something about what you can. POWER WASH the entrance especially in the door way areas! The carpet should be shampooed or replaced. This is my main go to theater as it's minutes away from my house. The lobby and screen rooms and even restrooms are always clean, and the staff always positive and helpful. Now on to the cons: outdated seatings and screens. No VIP screens, no recliners, no IMAX screens. I believe this theater would bring in more guests of these features would be added. read more

"MOVIES" I enjoy hitting the "movies". Surprisingly this location is bigger than I thought. And clean.er than most AMC theaters. Please, keep it that way! Although Chula Vista AMC was my first choice (with reclining chairs), I didn't mind the 12 mile drive to Otay Ranch since the movie Goodrich had limited showings in Southbay area. Although Otay Ranch was much calmer and not so loud and busy as Chula Vista, I still preferred Chula Vista. I didn't like that Otay's drink station had closed down by 10pm when I went over to get a refill. Upon exiting the building, I thought it was weird not seeing any staff anywhere, not even by the entrance/exit area. Overall, my experience at Otay Ranch location was good one. read more

Solid theater - a strong 3.5 in my book. Located in the Otay Ranch area amidst countless food and drinks options. The exterior is well maintained inside of the theater is clean. Service was friendly. Audio and visual quality were good as well. It doesn't earn a higher rating from me because the theater I watched the film in was on the smaller side and didn't have leather reclining seats. Don't get me wrong, it was clean and enjoyable, but I'll look forward to when they upgrade the seating setup. read more

if I was able to I would give 0 stars, I normally don't write reviews ever but I was talking to a supervisor named Angie and she was not friendly whatsoever. My boyfriend is an employee at a different location and we were just trying to refund two tickets because we wanted to reserve seats earlier, meaning we had to give up our seats for a couple of minutes and get them back. We didn't get our seats. It was a whole thing of trying to figure things out and since we payed through Apple Pay she ended up giving us two gift cards instead of a refunding it back to the card. Honestly, we were able to figure things out but what bothered me most was her attitude. We were being nice and understanding but her being unfriendly and apathetic was annoying. I understand things get busy and you're going through your own life but I genuinely would appreciate it if I can have a little bit of kindness for something we're paying for. Me and my wife love coming to this theater to watch movies! We even come late night in our pajamas (people of Walmart style) and come and watch late night movies when we want a late night date! We live down the street so it's quick and exciting whenever we have a chance. The theater is so convenient and the employees are always helpful and friendly. We usually just come to watch a movie but sometimes we order popcorn and snacks. But we recently found out that they have a bar inside so we might later have to take that into consideration next time we stop by. Recently they couldn't apply my $5 reward without the app which is annoying since I literally have always been able to do it by providing my email or phone number. I asked my manager to apply a discount for me and she refused and insisted I download the app. Well there is no Wi-Fi at the theater. And I ended up not buying a tickets because I felt very annoyed by the service. If this really is a system update I really hate it. Recommend purchasing tix ahead of time online so you can pick out your seats. The only draw back of the experience we had here was when we bought drinks at the bar. We saw that cocktails ranged from $13-16 and that seemed pretty average but since my husband and I usually just get gin and tonics, we were surprised when the total came out to $38?!? We confirmed with the bartender that we only wanted single shots also, so we're guessing he might've messed up and rang us up incorrectly, but $38 for a two ingredient drink?! At the movies?! Hello. Today I went to the movie theater to try to have a good time with my family, and when I tried to get a slushy non of the machines were working but sprite chill was. I tried to use it and it did not work correctly. Than it started to eject something and it was slushy but it was flavorless. Than I got the cinnamon pretzel bites but when I tasted them they tasted terrible! And when I tried to dip it into the cream the cream was completely hard! And I was able to get it to move but than it did not taste good. I got up from my seat to try to get something else but they were almost out of everything! No chicken tenders. And no donuts! This movie theatre is A-OK! I came here to see the new Star Wars. We ordered our tickets online and accidentally ordered the wrong showtime and when we got to the window they refunded our tickets with no problem. It took a while because the girl working had to ask someone else how to help us. The girl at the ticket office just wasn't very enthusiastic about her job and did not smile once. She was very monotone and seemed depressed. The popcorn we ordered was very good and there was extra butter and salt on the side stand. Yum. They have one of those cool soda fountains with so many different flavor choices too. We saw the 3D movie of Star Wars and I must say the picture quality wasn't very clear. I think the 3D may have taken away from the quality. I didn't like having to wear the plastic 3D glasses either. It would have been better to have it 3D but not have to wear glasses. The seating was typical movie theatre seating- they don't have the recliners here like at other AMC locations. Overall just your average movie theatre. read more
