Honestly all the bad reviews scared me when i had already preordered tickets but was pleasantly surprised that all was fine. yes the carpets may be dirty but the workers were efficient in directing and serving. they had all the drinks & popcorn was great. prices are just like any other amc. i was in theater 1, and the chairs arent reclinable rather rocky but i enjoyed it personally. it's not as tight as people say, the seats are close but theres enough room to walk through rows etc. the chairs were also not in bad condition and i didnt see any mess. the previews only took about 25 mins which is fine with me. anyway dont let reviews scare you, id come back just cause its close, and the area is cute. my only complaint is two stalls in the bathroom were missing toilet paper during the rush of people coming out of a movie. read more

I am so annoyed and maybe I shouldn't be but I decided today to come see Mario Bros in 3D. I checked in and decided to grab my drink and popcorn. I realized I did t remember what theater my movie was in. I approached the front desk and a woman who doesn't look like me was standing there. I said "I forgot what theater m in". She quickly replied "theater Three". I said thank and proceeded to the theater three. After squeezing through a crowded row of I sit and see that this is not Mario Bros. I thought this was just a preview of "MICHAEL" to my surprise. Now is it she thought everyone in this theater is here to see Micheal or was a something else after looking at me? Quiet Friday afternoon 440 showing. Very few people at the theatre. At the end of the movie (closer to 7pm) it was very crowded at the concession. I realized there are only 2 soda machines and there was a grouping of people waiting. It's a small area. The seats were good. The movie was good. Rockville Centre is luck to have its own theatre and I am happy to see it is frequented and maintained well. read more

This movie theatre used to be so gorgeous inside. ITS IN NEED OF A MAKE OVER SO BAD. I believe if they upgrade to the newer seats with tables this would be such a game changer. Anyway YOU are the reason why I rate this place 5 stars. Yes yes I am a loyal AMC fan but I have never been to this location. Where everything was sold out this place had plenty of open seats. I parked right out front and had to leave to go put money in the meter bc I didn't want to download the app and was truly in a rush. Movie, theatre, crowd, and concessions were all clean and great. But Missy saw that I was in a rush and instead of congregating with the 3 other staff members behind the one opened register- SHE SAW ME AND OPENED UP!! I am so used to looking at staff begrudgingly while waiting on line I started to studder I was like omg thanks so much. She assured us we wouldn't miss any of the movie and made the whole transaction quick and easy! THAT is what the movies is supposed to be like! I hope someone reads this and gives that woman a raise! And if you are the manager and just doing your job GIRL! I'm definitely coming back! The booster seats were not gross and sticky and the only thing I would say is: How come there was a big light on in theatre 3 while the movie was going? Did that have to do something with 3D. It was weird but at the same time it worked bc I had a four year old with me on top of my two regular teens and I could see them the whole time. DIRTY!! This place sucks, horrible food thats rock hard, employees are RUDE and unhelpful, they seem to hire anyone. SO DIRTY, the seats are sticky and have food all over them, floor has popcorn all over, and the SEATS DONT RECLINE, it seems like they never clean the place, and there are no trays at your seats like other theaters have. First time at a movie theatre in a while and also first time at this theatre. Seats are old, when you sit down, it just reclines a bit too far back and there's no way to fix it. Hard to find parking. A bit dirty in the theatre and it's old looking but we noticed they were starting to do construction outside. Pretty small theatre but I guess it does the job in watching the actual movie since the audio and visual were fine. I wish the top of people's heads weren't in my way though because since the seat reclined itself, people's heads were at the bottom of the screen from my view. Tickets weren't as expensive as the newer theatre by where I live and when we came here we realized why. I guess you pay for what you get. Tickets at the newer theatre were also sold out since I went to watch Black Panther: Wakanda Forever the week after it came out and my bf and I really wanted to go that specific weekend. I don't go to the theatre often and when I do I want the nice seats and full comfort. Would probably pass on this theatre next time. If they could renovate it and add parking somehow, this would be a great theatre because it's next to lots of restaurants to grab food before/after the movie. read more

My husband and I went to see 28 Years Later in honor of our son who is currently serving in the military. He grew up loving 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, so this film was special for us as a family. We hoped to take a photo with the movie poster to send to him, but we couldn't find it anywhere. That's when José, an incredible AMC employee, stepped in. He searched with us all over the theater..upstairs, downstairs, even outside, until we finally found the poster. He truly went above and beyond. We shared our appreciation with Nicholas, the manager, who was just as kind. He even offered us the poster after the movie's run and took our number so we can send it to our son. We were genuinely touched by that thoughtful gesture. José and Nicholas showed top-tier customer service. They are absolute assets to AMC. We left with full hearts and big smiles. Thank you for making our night so meaningful! Clean movie theater but no reclining seats! The seats they have are still comfortable though. Only downside of this theater was no reclining. Parking can be annoying too depending on time of when you go to the movies in RVC. Popcorn was yummy and service was good. Ordered my tickets online and chose seats ahead of time. I recommend doing this. But you can still walk in and order your tickets there. I would go back to this location if needed but would go to another theater with reclining seats read more

Was worried from reading the other reviews that Fantasy would be a terrible experience. Went in July and there was adequate AC. The seats were okay but did not recline. Even on discount Tuesday, the whole theater only had 8 people total. Purchased my tickets on the AMC app (which also waives processing fees if you join their Stubs membership for $15/year) before coming here. You can choose your seats on the app to secure a spot before arriving. The employees were nice, but were on their phones. Would be great if they had free parking nearby for people going to see the movies because I had to leave the movie half way through to go add more money to the meter since there was a 2 hour limit. read more

The location is perfect and convenient for this place. Across the street from Mr. Micelli (btw pronounced "Michelli" not "Miselli"), Cabos, and Starbucks. On the same side as municipal parking. The movie house makes this block prime real estate. The theater, bathrooms and lobby are clean, staff are pleasant, and the self-serve kiosks make it extra convenient. Plenty of room in the lobby for separate exit and entry. I haven't had the popcorn in years, so can't comment. No cafe here, but makes sense to do one thing right and focus on the basics. Worst AMC experience ever. Don't know where to begin and this is coming from a avid movie/AMC theater lover. Ordered tickets online via the AMC iPhone app. Got there 30mins early. Picked up $2 tacos from Cabo across the street. Went into the theater and brought a fountain drink cup only to find out the soda machine was not working. Walked into the theater room and was welcomed by popcorn ridden seats and a sticky floor. Movie started 30mins after the listed start time ( 10:30pm ) with a unfocused image and static sound. ( No previews - they just went straight into the movie. We all were staring at a black screen 30min after the start time ) Everyone left the room and had to wait on line to be refunded. A waste of time and a big downer. I guess The Lion King will have to wait :( read more

I came here late on a Saturday evening with a friend. When we first arrived, the lobby/area to purchase tickets was a bit haphazard and disorganized. It seemed like each guest was taking awhile to get their ticket. When my friend and I were up, there were two teenagers standing in the way and they made no motion to move while it was our turn. I politely told one of the girls, "Excuse me" and she was incredibly rude in return, practically yelling at me. After a minute, I just had to ignore her and proceed with getting the tickets. The reason it was taking longer for each person obtain their tickets is because now each party needs to choose what seats they want ahead of time. It took us a few minutes to figure out the best location because I like to be in the back-middle area and most of that area was already filled up. The lady at the register was very patient with us and even said she would allow us to select one of the disabled seats since they are all the way in the back. My friend and I finally decided that wouldn't be fair so we decided on seats toward the back close to the middle and that worked out just fine. Before entering the theater, one of the managers approached us and gave us 2 free movie passes to use next time because if they way the other guests treated me. I found that to be such a thoughtful and kind gesture - They truly didn't have to do that because I understand that the way the teenagers treated me was not the fault of the theater, yet they decided to make up for it anyway. This theater cared enough about how their customers are treated by others and really appreciated that. The seats were huge and comfortable- Almost like reclining seats (though they don't go all the way back). I really liked the leather material of the seats- It felt cool and being able to sit back was really relaxing and cool. Also, there was plenty of leg room so that you can stretch out and people can easily walk through the rows. I didn't visit the concession stand so I don't know how that area looked or what food/drink options they had, but overall had a good experience here. I would come back but only if someone was driving me there since it's a bit far/difficult to get to through public transportation. read more

This is the second time I've been to this theater - first time was about 1.5-2 years ago when they first renovated it and second time was this morning to catch a matinee showing of the new Grinch movie. The severe decline of this theater in such a short time is unbelievable. Broken seats, dirty theater - you mean to tell me that between last night's last show and the first show this morning, you were unable to clean the theater? There was buttery grease all over the broken chair arms and remnants from last night's popcorn all over the seats. When the movie started (late, I should add), the lights were left on and it took 3 people, my husband included, to go downstairs to tell an employee to turn the lights off. Obviously we are all familiar with the story of the Grinch, but my husband missed 5-10 minutes of the movie in doing this. We didn't pay money to go to a theater and watch a movie with a glare on the screen. It took over fifteen minutes for someone to shut the lights off after being told too. This is the last time we will be coming to this theater. The new Regal theater may be more expensive, but at least it's kept clean. ps - if you do go here, make sure you use the bathroom before going in because the bathrooms are on the first floor only. Kind of annoying to have to run all the way downstairs when you are with a small child - whoever designed this upgraded theater should have considered this and had bathrooms on both floors of the building. read more

What a disaster! If it wasn't for being the only option available to watch Avengers End Game, this place is not a good place to enjoy the movie. Seats do not recline as advertised. Minimal leg room that we witness a customer fumble and fall. Your knees start to swell up and get achy because of how seats are so off the ground. The distance from front of the seat to backseat is awkward. Unless you're over 200lbs, you can't really lay back comfortably due to the rocking back and forth. And the entire room was a mess. Popcorn everywhere. The theatre itself is a mess with popcorn everywhere. Very disorganized in terms of how to navigate thru from ticketing to food to the auditoriums. The food? Cold and hard pretzel bites. Stale bread for the hotdogs and the popcorn tasted as if it's been sitting there for awhile. Customer service? A bunch of teenagers and 20 somethings that just want to get rid of you as quickly as possible. And the best part is that no one seems to care. Never coming back to this location. read more

First time coming here. Decent movie theater, but the concessions area needed attention, especially around the drink machines (dirty/drink spills, no ice in one of the machines). There was a lot of talking going on with the concession workers, instead of cleaning around the areas that needed attention. The popcorn was good, popped fresh when we arrived. The restroom floors were dirty with paper towels, but the stalls were ok. The auditorium was clean and has big comfortable seats. Wish the parking situation was better, but it is what it is! I love this movie theater! It's super clean and the concession stand is full of good fattening treats including hot and cold food. I love that you can reserve your own seats as well. I like to be able to walk in and sit in the seats I paid for. Why I took off one Star???? There is only one restroom for women and men and it's down stairs so you must leave your movie and walk down two flights of stairs use the bathroom then go back upstairs to catch the rest of your movie. It's time consuming. Pee before you sit down!!! Also the sits are comfortable but they don't recline like must theaters Ive been to when you reserve your seats. It would if been a added plus to have the seats recline a little. Otherwise I love the improvements! read more
