Love the staff that teaches my girl in the science lab class and the hip hop class. The kids zone staff were all nice and friendly too.

Hybrid is an ideal gym if you are looking for personal training results. Period…read more The place has an urban, industrial feel to it and all of the weight-lifting equipment you could possibly need for your workouts. If you are looking for row upon row of treadmills and elipticals, this is not your place. Additionally, they have a studio where they conduct different classes (e.g. boot camp, TRX, barbell, hybrid defense, etc.) throughout the week with some serious boxing equipment recently added too. I've been doing personal training here for a few months now and the thing to keep in mind is that for all of the dumbbells, kettles, barbells and bands you see that could be scary for the uninitiated, the trainers are VERY down to earth, knowledgeable, good guys. This is not a gymnasium full of meatheads, I promise you. You may not know how to use the equipment yourself, but they do, and they know how to teach you to use it to generate the results you're striving for in your workouts. The place is great, but the people make it. I can absolutely see why they keep being named 'Best Personal Training' by the Montco Happening list. High recommended!

Parking lot is available which is a plus, and 24/7 key fob access makes access a breeze. Staff/fellow patrons are respectful and the place is generally clean/organized. They also have an Instagram page which give pretty decent workouts and tips. While I won't be using Hybrid Fitness regularly, I'd certainly go back if I was in the area.

The studio itself is awesome! It is super clean and sleek, giving off a radiant vibe the moment you walk in. There are cubicles available in the back of the studio where customers can store their belongings during class. Don't have barre socks? RISE has you covered. They offer a handful of different colors for you to choose from and they are fairly inexpensive as well. Not to mention, they have an entire wall of adorable merchandise that can be purchased by the customers. Being my first barre class ever, I was SUPER nervous and had no idea what to expect. My anxiety was instantly relieved by the friendly staff and the welcoming customers taking the class. I was shocked at how kind these people were. Honestly, some of the nicest people I have ever met while taking a fitness class. The instructor who taught the previous class walked my friend and I through what equipment we needed and explained what barre was all about which was great since both of us had no idea what we were doing. Our instructor was wonderful as well, extremely motivating throughout the entire class, and corrected any movement that I was doing wrong which was super helpful. They play great music too which helps push you through the pain you may be experiencing as you go about the workout. I definitely left the studio feeling like I got a great workout in. I am so happy that I found this studio and will definitely be back very soon for more classes!

The Perfect Workout

Is it too "unbeleivable" to say that Ashley has changed my life?…read more First, SHE is the best ab workout because I have never laughed so hard, (or at all for that matter) in the feeble attempts I have had at keeping on a fitness plan. Prior to meeting Ashley as my trainer at The Perfect Workout, I never lasted more than a few weeks at a gym, or by using all the crazy home equipment I bought over the years (now sold or a plant stand!). As a 60 year old woman, I realized that I needed and deserved to get personal assistance with my fitness plan if I wanted to live a life of feeling good and passing through my self-imposed limitations. I am going on about 5 or so months now, and for the first time in my life I have never missed a session, except when I was traveling or on occasion when I was sick. I am re-upping for another time with The Perfect Workout, because it really is the perfect workout for me. Having someone who is waiting there just for you, whose attention is only on you, and wants to see you thrive, is a gift I highly recommend giving yourself. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Ashley. She is masterful at how she guides and trains, knows her stuff, has a huge heart, but is no push-over (though I try at times ;-). She is a joy to be with, and I feel as though I get to be a really cool version of myself with her help - feels like a miracle! Go see Ashley.... and PW, give that girl a raise ;-)

Kanna Fitness - Warm up is guided by the coach in each class

While interning for a coaching position, I was wearing my scarf (a keffiyeh which I have owned for…read moremore than 15 years). I was asked while meeting with a coach (Coach A) to take it off (by Coach B). I calmly obliged with no argument. After taking it off was told by an athlete that I need to leave things like that at the door, again I calmly stated no problem and went about assisting with the next class. Two days later I received a phone call from the owner letting me know that they would not be moving forward due to my scarf making a member/members feel uncomfortable (again at no time did I make a fuss about taking it off). During the call I remained civil and said I understood and in no way made a stink about it. At the end of the conversation the owner brought up their competition the following month for which we were sending two teams---'If I felt uncomfortable they could just give us or money back'---at no point did I make any indication that I was uncomfortable but clearly they were uncomfortable having my teammates and I in their gym. The CF/Functional Fitness community is about inclusion in all aspects of life, they made a very clear line in the sand that not only was I not welcome to the possibility of a position in their gym (which hey whatever) that as a result I was not even welcome to compete in their gym, as if I would make a scene of some kind while there. On top of all of this when I interviewed I had applied for their posted Full Time position and was consistently clear that was my goal---there was not a full time position available come to find out.

Chris and his staff always work very hard to meet the needs of the Kanna community (especially during Covid times). The workouts are challenging, but always scalable and safe. The community is caring, supportive, and a lot of fun. The facility has all the equipment we need and about to get a major update as we move to a new, bigger space. I can't recommend Kanna Fitness enough.
