The spa called my wife 4 days prior to the scheduled massages and informed her that they had made a scheduling error and our massages were canceled. No sympathy, no attempt to correct, just a lack of customer service. We were really looking forward to a local massage as we usually drive 35 minutes. Never had the opportunity to try this spa and never will if this is how they handle errors on their own behalf.

Talking with staff, it sounds like the entire, large space (formerly Core) was purchased, providing enough space for them to not only add massage and service rooms, but to build out a sauna and pool area. Wow! How exciting is that?! In the meantime, they appear to be progressing in settling the spa services into the space. There is a TON of space to decorate and warm up, so there is still a little inconsistency for the tone of the environment, but you will certainly notice some of the classic design comforts and staples that were carried over from the previous location. I always appreciate the services I receive, and my recent visit was no exception. My massage therapist did some great work on some problem areas and always felt professional, yet personable, throughout. And who doesn't love the warm towel and neck pillow in the pre-services quiet room, right? So good.

While she was unable to get me in for the trim, she explained her organic coloring and I was intrigued and excited! Not only did I love the color, and how it faded at the end of 5-6 weeks rather than the shocking grey roots showing up. I also loved that she "got me" and the type of cut I wanted. All other stylists want to give me the "latest" trend for 30 odd year-olds. I am 60 and know what I like. Theresa listened. It is an "in-home" salon which gives it a feel of Steel Magnolia's Dolly Parton's salon. I love it. Now I am going to try her preference of organic face care products. I will keep you posted!
