** Two different judges have ordered Yasmine to repay a combined $17,500 in the past 3 months**…read more I have previously posted about my experience with Yasmine, but the information was becoming stale and less-relevant, so I removed that post in favor of this more concise statement regarding the same experience. Today was my long-awaited court date with Yasmine to compel her to pay the refund required by our contract, and I won. The judge ordered her to pay me $9,000. To make the backstory as brief as possible, Yasmine and I contracted in July 2022 for 5-6 matches in 14 months. I initially liked her and do think she has some good matchmaking skills but had the sense that she was overscheduled. She provided 2 matches in the remainder of 2022, but throughout all of 2023, the matches she offered were often well outside of our agreed-upon parameters, had grainy/distant/sunglasses-only photos, and in at least two instances were actual catfish. Her communication also dropped off with various excuses such as "emailing the wrong Erika," falling ill, or having "lost her voice" and unable to talk on the phone. Even still this was not a big problem. I was patient with her, mostly because she had already collected a substantial fee from me, but I was also busy myself. However, when 2024 came around, I reached out to her multiple times for simple updates with no answer. Then when an entire month went by with no word from Yasmine, I decided she was either too busy or simply not interested in working with me and asked for a refund, and she agreed. All still not a problem! We had cordial negotiations to start, but things deteriorated rapidly when we could not agree on the refund amount so at that point I figured the best option was to let a judge decide. And that he did to the tune of $9,000 in favor of myself. I am happy for the folks who have had good luck with Yasmine recently. I'd like to think the experience with me inspired her to improve on her self-admitted lacking communication skills. However, to anyone considering hiring Yasmine today, I suggest you consider the following: Although required, her business is not registered in the city of San Francisco or the State of California. This means that there is no official mailing address on file to accept service of process. If for whatever reason you and she are not a good fit, ask yourself: how will you get your refund if there is nowhere to serve court papers? She lost to me today, and this review is about my experience only, but there are *public* court documents available with similar stories - in particular one in Nov 2025 where Yasmine was ordered to pay $8500. Made a phone call to It's Just Lunch as a fact finding mission and ended up talking to a woman who very well may be the best salesperson I have ever spoken to. I really didn't want to buy in that day and yet, I did. I got off of the phone thinking, "what did I just dooo?" She is GOOD at her job. I was filled with hope and my bruised ego was healing and I felt like she totally got it and she was my new bestie - all after one phone call and multiple thousands of dollars. Yes, multiple thousands of dollars. I firmly believe now - in having spoken to several other women who have been taken by this sham company - that they use a sliding scale to determine how much to charge for their sh!t services. My matchmaker asked probing questions without them seeming probing - all in the name of building my profile, of course. Having established that I had the means, she floated a number that she knew my vulnerable as$ would be willing to and could pay. I went out on a whopping two dates in three months after having been promised two/month (I call BS on one sales manager's response to a review with "you signed up for 1/month"; I was told by my matchmaker that I would have 2/month). Even so, I didn't get the "contractual" 1/month either! My two HORRIBLE dates: One was with Jabba the Hutt (I had explicitly said, "I need to be with someone who is active, adventurous, and in good physical condition; this is a dealbreaker; absolutely no flexibility") and the other with a man who had the personality of over cooked spaghetti (after stating that I need someone fun, intelligent, with a raucous sense of humor - this guy barely cracked a smile - and I'm damn funny). When I expressed my dissatisfaction, I was immediately reminded that I would not get any money back. Defensive move! Anytime I expressed concern or questioned the process, I was shot down and was sometimes met with an immediate, negative shift in tone. It wasn't pleasant. But when I was cheerful and playing along, these ladies seem to be great listeners and they are charming. You feel like they get it, they talk the men up and make them sound like princes - but GAK. One "match" that I refused but was pushed HARD on to take was 63 years old with a three year old child. I had said I didn't want anyone outside of a 5+/- year age gap (he was 10 years older) and no kids under high school age. Again - so far outside of my stated parameters! He wasn't the only mismatch I was offered. I was told that if I kept refusing their matches, it would count against me. But your matches DON'T MATCH ME!! How is that reasonable? That's when I started checking in with other people. Three other women told me very similar stories. Thousands paid out, totally horrible or no dates, bad matches, no monetary recourse. Not one of these women could even tell me they'd gone on a second date with anyone they'd met through It's Just Lunch. Despite being told not to by my matchmaker (how dare you! Tell me I CAN'T?!?), I got back online immediately after The Wet Noodle - didn't bother waiting out the remaining three months - time's a wasting!! But I didn't cancel my membership right away - figured I'd see if they presented anyone worth dating; almost a month went by with zero contact. Where are my promised matches, ladies?? Despite their bullying tactics and vociferous statements indicating no refunds, I nearly did file in small claims court with the other women I spoke to. No recourse/refunds for horrible service is certainly unconscionable - but may actually be illegal because their practices involve misrepresentation/fraud and take advantage of the vulnerable. Only reason I didn't was the desire to avoid further toxicity. Should their "business manager" refute any point in my review - keep in mind that these people are trained in no-holds barred sales tactics and rhetoric. Twisting words and blame shifting is what they do. Don't risk it. Don't engage. No Lunch!! Post Script: I did meet an absolutely amazing man - ONLINE. It can happen!! And we're still together a year+ later! (On Match, in case you're wondering.)
