Once we left the airport we called the hotel to get directions and realized she booked us on the Canadian side. We had to call Sherry about 9:30 EST to get it corrected and ended up getting booked at a hotel with a view of a parking lot and abandoned building. Sherry said she was "sorry about that" but there "was nothing she could do". She won't give us the $700 back because that's what the US hotel cost when she had to reschedule---but she only had to reschedule due to her error of "not realizing she booked it in Canada". So disappointed.... I would have booked many other trips through them if they had just done the right thing. We paid a lot of money for this trip and Sherry is acting like it's no big deal.

Alicia & Two Pineapples in Paradise is a complete NIGHTMARE to work with. Communication at the…read morebeginning was what I would call "love bombing". Very excited, very helpful, very encouraging. Once you book and make that deposit, communication becomes lacking. Multiple of my guests had issues getting in contact with Alicia. Often times, Alicia would go days, or weeks, without answering if answered at all. Her "assistant" Hannah often times would respond after you've emailed multiple times and inform you that Alicia is "out of office" yet again. Thankfully I got in contact with my wedding planner from Sandals/Beaches and planned a lot of it with her through emails, because Alicia missed a lot of information and we missed out on one of the locations we really wanted due to this. We were able to pick another location, but obviously you never want to settle when it is your wedding day. The location we originally picked was not available from the beginning, which was communicated to Alicia, but never communicated to us until about 1.5 months before we were set to fly to Jamaica. What is normally stressful as a bride, was made almost unbearable by using her services. We also booked our honeymoon through Alicia, in which credits were misplaced and we also had a "free catamaran cruise" but that was never communicated to us until the resort was attempting to fix our credits on the day before departing. I reached out to Alicia due to finding her on the Sandals/Beaches website & another travel planner at the same time. Alicia charges for her services, a hefty fee, where others do not. Due to this, I thought she would be more qualified, diligent, and involved. I was very wrong. The only time Alicia was prompt with communication is when she wanted her payment toward the end of planning, when issues were still being had with getting my credits/refund. We flew out, and Alicia did not reach out to us until the morning of the wedding. Not once did she check on how things were going at the resort, mind you she also charges a large fee to fly to the resort with you and 'assist' which we opted not to do since the experience had already been extremely frustrating. On returning home, she also did not reach out. These may seem like small things but when you book a wedding with 35+ people traveling to a foreign country, you could wish them safe travels? Fortunately my wedding was great, and I'm so thankful I got in contact with the wedding planners offsite, and the onsite team was amazing. There were definitely moments that needed to be fixed last minute & unfortunately this left a very negative impact on us. I would highly recommend and suggest doing research before hiring someone like this for your biggest day, or even small travel. I have screenshots and emails from all communication. When I showed up and found the place closed, I called to check, and Tim kindly agreed to give me a tour even though I was the only guest. He made sure I felt comfortable throughout and kept the experience engaging with local history and stories. We cruised around the Trinity Garden, which ended up being one of my favorite parts. On top of that, he shared fantastic restaurant recommendations. It felt more like exploring the city with a friend than a formal tour. Huge thanks to Tim for making it such a memorable experience. I spent about 10 mins trying all the different things our tour guide asked me to practice. I pickled it up very easily. Everyone did so as well. Anyone can ride segways. I wish we had more segways all over the country. Tour started off in the downtown Fort Worth area. We stopped at many historic destinations along the way. Tour guide was very funny and very knowledgeable. My favorite part was by the riverside. Absolutely gorgeous weather to ride Segways and made our trip even more memorable with lots of great pics. Our tour guide took some incredible pics of us. Highly recommend this experience if you're trying to do something cool and fun.
