I came across Miller Farms so we decided to check it out on Sunday & I'm so glad we did! Adults & children under 3 are free, which was so nice compared to all the other places you have to pay a ton of money to enter even if you're not doing any of the activities. They have a couple goats & highland cows that were adorable. You can see that they are well cared for too! In the "fun zone" there are quite a few wooden playscapes for kids, some wooden cutouts for photos, cornhole, picnic tables, a big haystack for climbing, & a beer tent with seating next to it. We had a friend with us as well, so we grabbed some drinks & hung out in the seating area. It was really clean & the bartender was quick & helpful! The corn maze was fun & pretty simple which is nice since there's young kids going through it. We were going to do the u-pick pumpkins, but it was pretty chilly, so we decided to hold off on that & just purchase pumpkins in the front. The pumpkins are only $8 & they are HUGE!!! We also got a dozen cinnamon sugar donuts & a half gallon of cider. The donuts were sooo good & I enjoyed the cider as well! I did also purchase pickled sweet garlic but I haven't gotten to try it yet. We will absolutely be back! I'm hoping that coming here can become a family tradition for us & our daughter!

Every…read moreyear my family stays at my grandma's cottage and on a Sunday morning we bundle up and cut down our Frasier Fir at Krause Tree Farm. They have a cabin where you can buy refreshments like cocoa and marshmallow snowmen, and they sell other things like ornaments and decorations. It's always better to cut down your REAL tree, than get it from a lot. These trees stay so fresh, that you actually feel sad putting it to the curb after Christmas.

Previously, I have had water gardens for the last 25 years. I am an avid gardener and plant enthusiast. Not a newbie by any stretch. I planted as directed using the Pond Guys potting mix, the recommended gravel and fertilizer tabs. Placing the plants at the recommended depth. The lotus never even sprouted. The hardy water lily leaves that existed, yellowed and died, and no new sprouts. Out of 6 sensitive plant pieces, only one has survived. I was out of state for a week helping my 94 year old mother transition to long term care and upon return home I discovered the state of the plants purchased from the Pond Guy. I reached out to customer service, and was told that I was at 17 days post delivery of the plants and the Pond Guy company would not stand behind my purchases.
