All the flats and pots of plants seem healthy and vibrant and organized as you walk in. We mainly patronize this Troy/Burton store of the Urban Growers chain for our vegetables ever since our favorite Amish fruit & vegetable stand just a mile down the road suddenly closed shop in Dec 2013. As I understand it, the farm only closed their storefront which, in the years we visited, always had a healthy supply of both product and customers through their shop. J&J's now wholesales their produce to Urban Growers to retail. The POSITIVE about that is now you can shop on Sundays (J&J's was closed on Sundays due to being Amish owned). And you can now use credit cards whereas J&J's was only cash or check. J&J's produce is retailed in a one-room store on the south end of the building and includes lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, onions, peaches, corn, beans, melons, squash, beets, and zucchini depending on the season. One of my personal favorites are the sweetest peaches anywhere! All produce is wholesome, locally ripened quality at good prices.

Lepley & Co. has become one of the most significant tenants, taking up a large storefront right near the entrance. The moment you walk in, you're overcome with great vibes and a welcoming atmosphere. Justin Lepley, who recently took over directing the marketplace as a whole, is an amazing human who also happens to be damn good at what he does. In addition to being a visionary florist (and having a grab-and-go plant section and fridge of pre-made bouquets), he also curates a fabulous selection of local goods, in addition to being a super charitable business owner in general. He even assigns names and pronouns to his in-house plant selection, demonstrating his values of being truly open to all and being an LGBTQIA+ advocate. Lepley & Co. has become a go-to spot for me when I am in the area and need a lovely local gift. On my most recent trip, I purchased 2 sets of wood-carved feminist earrings by a local maker (and a portion of the proceeds support women's reproductive rights). If you can't find it in Lepley & Co., you can't find it anywhere! They also host regular workshops between their multiple locations, so if you need a date idea, this is also a great place to look. Lamplears excuse is that the wall only had a two year guarantee which is ridiculous for this type of work. That was never indicated on their proposal or invoice. Other contractors are already quoting me a 5-10 year guarantee on a new wall in writing. Goes to show you what Lamplears thinks of its own work when it wont back up this after only two years. Dont trust what they tell you. The pictures tell the story. Stay away or you likely will have to pay someone else to clean up their mess.
