I was admitted under emotional duress, and no part of the process was explained to me. I was not told that I would be unable to leave until the staff determined that I no longer wanted to harm myself, and I was held there for three days against my will, not knowing when I would be allowed to go. During that time I recieved no care aside from my daily medication, and was not informed about anything regarding my situation. The time that I spent at Reid made me worse, and I developed PTSD from the experience.

I would not recommend this Hospital to anyone. I have supported Reid for years, and as a Paramedic…read moretransported several patients to the ER. Always had good treatment myself in the past as a Patient. However this weekend I took my wife there for chest pain. Had good treatment in the Emergency room. However the treatment from the Cath Lab and DrChoudary was very disappointing. A Nurse named Chris in the Cath Lab should be trained in compassion and care for the family and the pt. He came after me agressively in a waiting room because I wanted to speak to my wife since no one would communicate with me after her procedure. He has no place in the hospital. He should work on a Hog farm where he can herd animals rather than treat Patients the way he did. There were two employees on 4 east that were lazy and did not do what they needed to do. My advice to you is go elswhere this hospital has lost my confidence!

I visited a family member recently at Ball Memorial. It's part of the IU network. I have become…read moreaccustomed to larger hospitals in Indy and typically think of hospitals outside of metro Indy as small. This is not the case for Ball, it's impressive. It's located near Ball State University; I assume the Ball family was a significant donor. Covid restrictions are strict. Only 2 people a day are allowed to visit. The check you for symptoms at the front desk, give you a sticker/tag fit that day. Then when you get to the floor, they have you sign in for who you are visiting. Ensuring only two per day. My family member was in the oncology floor. The staff was the best I have seen in some time. Denise was the RN during visiting hours, there are none better than Denise. Now the cafeteria was ok. But it's a hospital during Covid, so I should have expected what I found. I brought my own on subsequent visits.

This is the worst place you would go if going to the ER. Had a very traumatizing experience here…read morethat is personal and I will not delve into. But, with the proper care, I would have been able to save one of my fallopian tubes. This did not happen. They treated me like I was crazy for feeling the way I did and asking for help. Having to stay overnight was the worst and the doctor was terrible. The place is not very clean. My mother said, and she's right, if you can make it anywhere else, go anywhere else. Even if you're shot or stabbed or something. The regular dr offices and imagining area is fine.

The bone pushed thru, and was protruding through my skin and dangling - to paint the picture. Those Doctors and nurses, aids and paramedics took amazing care of me. I couldn't have been in better hands. I attribute to how well I healed - %100, to those first few excruciating hours. I was transported to another hospital for emergency surgery. Had the best ambulance personnel transporting me and a surgeon that made hard to even tell my leg was ever operated on. All of these important decisions made by the wonderful staff at McCullough Hyde.

Went here and the doctor James Bianchi kept trying to shove a pregnancy test down my throat after i knew i wasn't pregnant. I told them these symptoms have been going on for years and they didn't do a blood test or x-ray or anything all they did was make me take a pregnancy test and scolded me the entire time. The worst part is my grandmother wasn't even allowed to come back with me and i felt so alone and ashamed for nothing. They were not respectful nor would they listen to me when i kept telling them my symptoms this is why i hate male doctors because they are never respectful and considerate. James Bianchi shame on you. You should never be a doctor. Your nurses were more help than you ever will be.
