My boots were too small and Gavin spent what I felt was an incredible amount of time with me to try and make the boots workable for the duration of my trip because the shop didn't have wide boots that I needed. Gavin recommended where I may find wide boots late in the season, and the search did end up being successful. The new boots didn't feel quite right, so I went back to Gavin (my boot safety net) who hooked me up. Because of Gavin I was able to enjoy the rest of the trip. This is a Boutique Store that has Vintage in its name and was presented as a Vintage Store with a mix of Modern by Summit Daily (a local newspaper). After reading about them in the paper I had the impression they were a solid mix of Modern and Vintage but what I saw was 95% Modern with 5% Vintage. If I knew it was really just another Boutique Store I would not have gone out of my way to visit here. Their choice of modern clothing is cute and pretty much what you would find in 100% of all Boutique stores around the country. Their vintage was extremely limited, almost non existent. There are many Boutique Stores in Breckenridge, the good thing about this one is that their prices are not too bad and they have a great selection of clothing mixed with housewares. The person working the cash register looked it up and said it would be $51. 3 minutes later, I found the EXACT same shawl in a small which had a price tag of 41.50 (the first one was a medium). We asked him to honor the price, and he said "nope, mediums probably cost more because, you know extra fabric." Okay, first of all, that's not how clothes work. But to humor him my friend tried on the small and it fit, and we asked to get that one. "Nope (again) all sales are final (he and not told us that). You can't exchange it, for the exact same item for the correct price. You CAN go buy something else for the price difference (not easy to do), so she bought a bracelet and paid more. Such a contrast to the experience I'm accustomed to shopping on Frisco Main Street. NOT a good reflection on our town at all. I will never bring a guest there again. Plenty of other local shops who treat locals and visitors well.
