The biggest mistake they could've ever made was to open a store like this. It's only been in this area for a short period of time and is already set to close and for good reason. It's basically a small convenience store like 7-11 with quick grab and gos like snacks, sandwiches, and coffee. In addition to cold brew on tap, they even have kombucha on tap, which is something I've never seen before. If your Amazon purchase is eligible for a return here, you also usually get a coupon with your visit. First visit can be confusing, but once you figure out how to scan in, it's pretty easy. You also just walk out to check out. If there are any errors in how you were charged, you can report it on your Amazon account too. Heard of Amazon Go, but never been to one until now! It's one of those convenience stores where you walk in scan your Amazon membership and go around the store grabbing and going out. So it looks like you did not pay, but in fact you did since everything you do in the store is tracked. There are cameras all over the store like the ones right above you. They watch was you pick-up and buy and when you walk out after a few hours, they send you a receipt of what you bought and charged the method of payment you have with Amazon. There's hardly anyone around. Maybe saw one person in the store working there. It's a neat concept where there is no need for human contact. The only time you may need human contact is for your food order. There's like a built in fast food store inside where you can order like a chicken sandwich and they don't make it until you order it. My favorite thing about this place are the drink machines. Like the slurpee machines at a 7 eleven where it's self served, it's the same, however there's no judgement on what you bought or how you filled it up. There's also coffee machines for regular coffee and another for a bit more complex drinks like cappuccino, Americano, latte...etc. You can customize it a bit like the milk and flavor . There's also grab and go food, like sandwiches and sushi like you would find at an Amazon Fresh, but it's way more expensive here than at the Amazon Fresh location. **EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR AMAZON RETURNS** Why Amazon returns? Because Amazon has once again, removed return options from UPS locations to Amazon owned locations such as Amazon Go. Unfortunately for me, the closest location is 30 minutes away from me with no direct freeway. As for the actual return experience though, it was flawless and seamless. I walked in 10 minutes before closing time, opened up my in-store QR code which the directions prompted me to prepare ahead of time, found the counter to the right (you really can't miss it), provided the product return QR code, the employee scanned it, I got mail that the return process started instantaneously. No return box was needed. Almost a picture perfect return that I normally get from my previous local UPS store, except instead of a 10 minute round trip, it is now an hour round trip. The nice thing though is that they gave me $2 off a $5 purchase after my return. The downside, everything in the Amazon store was overpriced. Some may say it is priced just like any other convenience store, and if that is the case, all I have to say is at least CVS made you FEEL like you are getting a good deal with all the various markdowns. After looking for 5 minutes, I had a strong feeling that I wasn't going to get a good price on anything even with the coupon and that's how you know something is flawed here. There is a code-locked restroom in the back. I don't see this Amazon Go as a good user experience for returns unless you move the store closer to a free way or reduce the cost of the product to at least make your customers FEEL like they are getting a good deal. read more

We came in to return an Amazon order here. Store is open and spacious for a corner shop. I think it's a great convenience store if you are in need of something fast. The selections are more than enough for grab & go items. It's very organized and easy to find whatever you need. I tried a Starbucks coffee drink but it was horrible. I don't think the machine was working properly. I am a fan of this shop & walk out process with Amazon app, it was so smooth and fast. I really liked the Go store. The prices were a bit high but I found lots of good stuff, the sandwich counter was ok I liked the avocado toast. I really liked the coffee it was great. The first time I was there I set up my shopping experience with my account on Amazon and use my Amazon credit card for me that was the best way to pay walk in pick your stuff walk out get a email of how much time you shopped and what you spent, then get the receipt in a email comparing it to what you purchased there was twice things on my receipt I did not purchase it was easy to have removed. I'm sad they closed the stores down I really enjoyed shopping there and returns were super easy. Hope Amazon comes up with something else, Whole Foods are not available in the area I live but I do subscribe and save every month. Thanks Amazon for all you try to do to help people out. I decided to stop in and check out the store and immediately loved the technology. The store appeared to be clean, well staffed, but seemed to be lacking some of the prepared ready to eat food selections. The staff were very friendly, attentive, helpful, and polite. I enjoyed selecting items off the shelves, putting them in my bag, and walking out the store. I'll definitely be back in hopes more prepared food items will be available. read more

Omg I'm 48 and I was thrust into the fact that, yes, I'm in fact a Boomer. I did not know how that was supposed to work. I walked in 20 minutes before closing just on a whim. I just stood there when confronted by their electronic gates. I fought the urge to just bolt out the door. Luckily the employees seem well- versed on how to deal with this apparently super familiar level of bewilderment I clearly had on display. They were so nice even despite the fact that closing time was imminent. One of them came over to me with a level of easy patience I can't even comprehend and guided me how to use my app to enter and how to access things in store. Basically, just pick them up and leave. Like WHAT?!?! Is this not stealing bc it sure felt like it. Sure enough it's not bc I got the Amazon order notification the next day. The location isn't that convenient, with getting out of the lot being a pain. But first time trying Amazon go, and it was super convenient. Just scanned in store code for entry and left with items. Payment was done automatically through the saved payment method on Amazon app. I liked their different choices of ready to heat meals (2 for $15 deal), and they even sell individual hash browns in the breakfast section. I had hoped for the ultra modern tech packed unmanned store that are found throughout Asia. But I was surprised by how much it feels like the regular 7 Eleven albeit without the diversity ownership. First thing you bad to do is find our way to find the QR code for the subway like entrance gate. Then in theory you can pickup whatever you wanted and leave and all your purchase will be paid by your Amazon account automatically. That is if you don't want any of the freshly microwaved "avocado toast" that' Amazon made sure to push at every corner of the tiny store. Then you'll have to wait for another 30 minutes. Idk how they can make food legit food at a Taiwanese night market for less than 10 minute yet it takes 30 min to make toast with avocado. Anyways. Oh and the advertised special breakfast of your choosing I don't think they applied for the discount. I'm too lazy to argue over $2. Needless to say I won't be going back ever again. The first Amazon Go convenient store in SoCal! My first experience was in Seattle where the stores were larger and there was even a seating area. This store looks like a normal size convenient store but with the technology of an Amazon store where you can just check-in on your Amazon app, grab and go and you don't even need to scan to check-out. Everything is pretty automated - you can request for a sandwich to be made via a kiosk and if you're buying alcohol, you scan your ID. There is very little human interaction so it's probably an A+ for introverts who are technologically advanced. Some prices are convenient store prices and some are within normal grocery store prices (usually Amazon branded items are more reasonably priced). I am absolutely in love with the store! It ties directly to your Amazon account. You get a little perks like free coffee if you're an Amazon prime member, they've got kombucha on top. I've made a few trips to amazon go now and felt a review is in order. Its convienent and prices are inline with other conveineince stores, so why only 2 stars? Its all about the food. One of the features of the store I was looking forward to is their breakfast and lunch offerings. The other day I was looking at their menu online and saw they have a cubano sandwich. I thought I'd like to try that so head over at lunch. I go to their console to order the sandwich and it is sold out. as well as a few other sandwiches are sold out. and they are out of items like tomato, lettuce, etc... I mistakenly thought everything was made fresh but its not. Ended up ordering a custom made ham sandwich. it was nothing to brag about other then it was huge and i was able to make 2 meals of out it. a few days later i decide to try one of their breakfast sandwiches. This time all the sandwiches that are on an english muffin are sold out. ok... great... I pivot and order and Ham Egg and Cheese on Brioche. after a minute the clerk comes to me to say "we are out of ham.. would you like bacon or sausage instead?". I go with the bacon.. I get the sandwich home and cut it in half and it is cold in the middle. great.. microwaved sandwiches... i could have went to mcdonalds and got a mcmuffin for pretty much the same price and at least it would have been freshly cooked. Sorry Amazon Go, 2 strikes and your out. unlikely I will go back here for food. I might return if I want a bag of chips or a soda. They carry many necessary items; milk, eggs, can goods, first aids, frozen food, and ready packed food items. The food they make and serve there taste great. Love the Cuban sandwich. Came yesterday to check out this convience store with the family. Had my wife and two kids (7-5) in tow. I would say, not a good experience with a 5 year old, since they just want to grab everything. Cross between a 7-11, and small subway sandwich/salad shop. So you scan your phone (Amazon QR code needed) before entering. To order the sandwiches, you need to order them on the kiosk in the back. So we did that. Sandwiches were good for what you get. Cost on each was around 8 dollars, which was good for the size and portion of them. My wife and kids tried the Pinkberry. It was really running, and not really frozen fully. The store itself is much smaller than what it looks from the outside. Prices on most items i thought were higher than normal. Then you just walk out. We did check our virtual receipt, and the store did charge all our items accordingly, even our coupon for the sandwich combo's.. So that was a plus. read more

Was working in the area and checked out the amazon go store. It's like a 711 but cleaner. Liked the palm reader option and it's a lot faster. Love that you can grab everything and skip the line if you're in a hurry. The food is pleasantly affordable and quickly made by there prep staff.
