Oh, so this grocery store is pretty dope! I love the shopping cart and the check out line for Prime members. You don't have to be members to shop here either, there are other non-member carts for use. With the Prime cart, you log into your Amazon account, select your payment method, scan the QR code from the barcode on the cart and start shopping. You will still have to scan your items because the alarm on the cart will ring if anything is placed in there without being scanned. It's based on weight. There are tons of merchandise items in here (including farm raised meats and organic veggies) and the produce is super fresh and tasty. When checking out with your Prime cart, you won't get into a regular line, you'd go under the dash cart lane. Your receipt is emailed and just like that, you're outta there! No more waiting in long lines. It's genius but also a little too futuristic for me right now lol. I'd certainly recommend this shopping experience though. read more

I really love this store. For the most part the prices are average. If you go in the mornings they mark down the meat that's going out of code in a few days . It's perfectly fine I've never had a problem. Some prices are high but the pre packaged deli meat is really good and I'm one of the most pickiest people when it comes to lunch meat . The cheese is priced really good too . If you have Amazon prime you must use the cart. It makes check out a breeze. Also, the rotisserie chickens are the same as the ones at Whole Foods, but there are a few dollars cheaper and they're exactly the same very very good. I did not like the produce however for the most part that I do like that, you can go to the pro section and pick some fruit for your kids to eat. They have free fruit tower of free fruit for your kids to eat while you shop so I thought that was pretty cool too.. read more

I visited this store today just to see what it's like. I found some very good prices on in-season produce, some not so great pricing on avocados, some deals in packaged foods and a very well-maintained restroom. The store was clean and well staffed. It did surprise me when I tried paying with Apple Pay (which I've used almost exclusively for most brick and mortar stores for the last 5 years) at the self-checkout and was told that I had to use a physical card. This is 2025 and this is Amazon, so you can't tell me they can't get electronic payments working. I guess they just want to steer people toward their own payments system. read more

HIGH PRICES AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I stopped at Amazon Fresh in Eatontown to return some items I had bought online and to buy some groceries. The "manager" who handled the return was rude and not helpful ("Its just technology" "I don't know the return policy"). When I started shopping, I was shocked at the limited selection and HIGH PRICES - a box of cereal for $7.49 (88% higher than Wegmans $3.99) - a bottle of BBQ sauce for $3.79 (52% higher than Wegmans $2.49) Save yourself money and find a better selection and shop elsewhere! read more

Really want to love this place. Order online, free pickup, ready for you within a minute of parking if you use the app right, but the quality of the food is awful. Nearly everything is close to or at the expiration date. My last pickup order the produce already had mold on it by the next day. Maybe one day this will be ready but too soon. read more

We did some shopping twice here and used the new checkout carts- plus fresh produce, and they had a nice food selection. We found the staff helpful and friendly- the electronic carts amazing- and easy peasy checkout - we will visit again when we can. read more

Amazon Fresh is an innovative take on grocery shopping. However, just across the street is Lidl, where identical brands are dollars cheaper than everything you find at Fresh. The carts are cool, but you need to work with them, so the convenience of having a receipt as you drive around is taken away when the barcode system takes a while to register items or doesn't notice when items are taken out. Strolling around with these big carts with computers on them is also difficult. The aisles are tight and you feel like you're inconveniencing other guests just standing there and looking at items. Employees are helpful at least and sweet. Place is today and electronic price tags are interesting to look at. Overall, it's a nice place to visit for the fun of it, but I wouldn't go here for essentials. Maybe only for good sales. read more

Amazon Fresh is horrible! I ordered 4 - 40 pks of water. Wasn't available so they brought me 4 -12 packs of water. $26.00. Ridiculous!!! I had no idea otherwise I would have went to ShopRite 2 miles away. Canceled subscription. Couldn't even write why I wasn't satisfied. Had to choose from their sugar coated answers!!! They are horrible. May cancel prime because of a lousy 26 dollar purchase! Buy elsewhere, Amazon is getting to big for their britches! read more

Visited this store yesterday, used the tablet on the shopping cart which was easy to use, you scan your amazon account then scan each grocery when placing it in the cart, and walk out through the self checkout when you're done, it automatically sends a receipt to your account. There was no one by the door to offer help on using the cart, I just figured it out and asked an employee what to do when I was done. The store feels gloomy with isles that are too narrow and tall, it feels claustrophobic, so glad it wasn't crowded when I was there. Some prices were good, others too expensive. The produce looked old, products were too close to expiration date, and the cherry turnovers I purchased from the bakery were soggy instead of crispy and fresh. I purchased a few things and went off to Trader Joe's which is always a joy. You're better off shopping Lidl across the street. I won't be retuning to this store. read more

Visited Amazon Fresh recently. It was fine. Not as pretty as Wegman's . Did not have as much variety as Trader Jo's or Wholefoods for that matter. Ambiance was ok. It's a brand new store, but lacked something perhaps originality? . Veggies were fresh. I'd go there to save a buck or two on Prime, if I happen to be in the area. I have meant to write a positive review for this store. The tall man greet at the door is always cordial and helpful. Shopping using the dash cart is very nice. My only issue was that I had difficulty adding the 10 dollar coupon for purchases over 50 dollars. The two gentlemen in the cashier section were very nice and directed me to "customer service". I explained my situation and the Black, heavyset woman (I say in distinction because there were two Black women working at the counter) said "Did you tick on the 'Add Coupon' button. I said I wasn't able to. "Look at the white sticker on the cart". The sticker said "Scan coupon before checking out." I told her what it said and she laughs. I told her it's a little too early for judgement. "No judgement, but you said this is the SECOND TIME this happened." I said Thank you and left and she said "Do you want to fix this or no?" I know that she means to tell me what I can do to prevent this from happening but how she was going about it made me resistant to any thing she has to say. The two gentleman asked me on my way out if they were able to help me which is nice. Maybe i was too dumb to figure it out, but she didn't need to make me feel stupid. read more

I came to this site looking for other people reviews and see if they had a similar experience. As a new store and a concept, I can't tell how it is different from other big stores. On prices, it cannot match Lidl or Aldi or even Trade Joe. Prices are comparable to shoprite or other big stores, but Shoprite has more variety and also many more promotions. It doesn't have the same ambience of Wegman's or a new Shoprite store. So this is a smaller store, with national brands and pricing but smaller than a large box store and a basic selection. Sometimes market research and technology fail. This store is a great example of not getting it right. Aside from the isles being too narrow and the illogical item layout, the prices aren't that great, the staff, although very pleasant, seem to know as little as the customers. Simple things, like plastic bags for the produce, are hidden. Yes, there were a handful of geeks trying out the wi-fi carts and staring into their phones most of the time but from the few customers I spoke to, they were as disappointed as I was. I'll keep buying practically everything on Amazon but I think I'll do my grocery shopping at the many other great markets nearby. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE! Avoid Amazon Fresh, this new store does not have its act together. Prices are higher than Aldis (across the street) and Trader Joe's (down the street). The carts are too large for the narrow aisles making it difficult for shoppers to navigate. Did a self checkout and it refused to take my wife's payment, after 15 minutes of failed transactions, a manager came by and said he'd have to ring up all our items again. The second time the total cost was higher but we paid just get outta there. A day later, we noticed that our credit card was charged twice and it has been impossible to get anyone in the phone to provide a resolution. We called Amex but they refused to contest the double charge and must go through Amazon Fresh...very frustrating (Amex must be in Amazon Fresh's back pocket or they had too many other payment issues with this new store.
