Lots of mixed reviews for Amazon Fresh. I stopped in the store last week because I had an Amazon purchase that I needed to pick up. My wife and I needed to do a quick shop last night and decided to swing by the supermarket. The hype right now is at Wegmans so the store seems empty at 7pm. Walking in, we're greeted by a hostess. She explained the smart wagon, we're the cashier as we swipe the reader in the wagon. Do I get paid for this? Haha The shopping experience is interesting, lots of great sales but regular priced items are eye popping. No, I don't need $36 worth of detergent but I do need .75 cents on Nan bread. That's right, 3 quarters. I noticed the cheese selection was pretty cool but yogurt choices were not that large. The store is very large and clean. All of the shelves were well stocked. Listen, I think I'm a fan?? Every week we have to go to ShopRite because the digital coupons didnt work. Amazon Fresh had the tech down! After we were all rung up, we received a discount being a prime member. Still on the fence, so far nothing but a positive shopping experience to report for Amazon Fresh. read more

This is a great store with quality products where you can save money. Highly recommend. I wouldn't purchase their skin care, medical or cleaning supplies. Those seem to be overpriced. You can definitely find less expensive items at your local pharmacy. read more

So far so good! I came here today for the opening at 8AM and the line was nuts! It went very quickly once the doors opened however. There were enough shopping carts for everyone and they were giving out prizes as well. The prices are similar to Whole Foods and more expensive than the local shop rite so I probably would only come back here in a pinch. Otherwise the store is clean and organized. They have a fresh salad bar and a dining area. You can bring Amazon returns here. Lots of organic options. The staff was very nice so far as well. read more

I had heard how great & wonderful Amazon Fresh stores are and even thought it could "whoo" me into actually considering the overpriced cost of an Amazon Prime membership. Well, it will NEVER happen now!!! Excited to see a new grocery store and with my promotional $5 off $25 coupon in hand and a cart full of items, I was literally turned away. When I went to check out I was told that I should have an Amazon Prime membership and only those with the membership were actually eligible for ANY of the sale items & door busters. What?! I questioned it, but was told that's how the store works. I'm pretty sure I was given wrong information UNLESS it's true that you have to be a member to shop like Costco. Not surprising, I abandoned my whole cart and left! I will NOT be going back. While the staff was welcoming enough, it does NOT make up for their MUCH higher cost of groceries and requirement of an Amazon Prime membership. NOT WORTH it on soooooooo many levels! THIS PLACE SUCKS.As soon as my food got delivered the cheese was MOLDY,AND ALSO the service sucked I am a regular customer and EVERY TIME the employees were RUDE.AND I ordered two gallons of water for my kid and I.MOST OF THE CONTAINER WAS EMPTY.Me and my kids weren't able to have good water as I am investing in a water dispenser.I wanted to speak to the managers about these issues,the employees would say no.The one time I was actually able to contact the manager HE COULDN'T CARE LESS.I wish that these issues can be fixed otherwise I will have to speak to corporate.This is the last time I'm ordering from here! read more

This store has been empty for many years since Waldbaums exited the market. So with years of anticipation I expected much more. In a Saturday afternoon customers were scarce and seemed like there should have been more product on the shelves. I checked out the food bar and it was not to my liking. The technology in the store was impressive. I'm sure there are a few kinks to get out but for now 3 stars is the best I can offer, but I promise to be back for a second try. read more

The first few times I came to the store I loved it. I loved the dash cart because I could keep a running total of what I was spending. However, over the past few weeks the dash cart does not work properly as it recognize more than half of the items I try to scan, especially clearance items. I waste so much time messing with the cart and to have cancel the order and go to the register anyway. Self checkout has the same issue since they are all run on the same system. It is a waste of my and the cashiers time. read more

I just waited outside the store for my pick up order for almost 50 minutes. App checked me in, there is no phone number for the actual store. I was transferred from country to country 6 or 7 times. Finally got a 631 number and no one picks up. My child was in the car asleep so I can't go in. I have no groceries and live 20 minutes away. This is what happens when amazon and ai takes over enjoy everybody! read more

This was pretty underwhelming. I loved the high tech cart but everything else about the store seemed very low effort. No specialty items I couldn't get elsewhere, average prices. The decor and lighting gave off a very low rent vibe. I'll probably only come here again if I need something while passing by or there is an extraordinary sale. ( I'd like to take the cart with me elsewhere tho) read more

Went on opening day. They did a good job promoting the event with samples, giveaways etc. But unfortunately, it wasn't enough to make up for the ridiculously high prices. The sale items were decently priced. But everything else was a no-go. An Aldi or Lidl would've been so much better. People will probably rather grab groceries at Walmart, BJ's and ShopRite in that area. (But I will keep hoping for a Trader Joe's closer than the Smith Haven Mall) read more

When I first went to Amazon Fresh months ago, I found the prices too high to continue shopping. Prices have been lowered and there are many great deals. This store is a great change from Shop Rite with its high pricing on non-sale items. Great selection of everything and can't say enough about the wonderful staff. Nice bright store with friendly staff and the specials were good deals. But if they don't bring their prices in line soon, they will not be open for long. As soon as the fun/thrill/convenience of this long overdue reopening of a long-missed grocery store wears off, the practicality of their INSANELY high prices will prevail ($6.50 for a pineapple, $10+ for a box of cereal!?) What a nightmare! If Jeff Besos was still at Amazon,....he would've closed the place down. The Good News: Immaculate, produce , just beautiful! The Bad News: Pricing is totally confusing! The prices displayed....Outrageously HIGH!!!!!! Cashier's delightful but obviously not trained very well. Computerize shopping carts.....nice touch. Here's an idea, post the correct prices and pass the savings along to your shoppers! Prime Membership, is that supposed too mean something.....ya know. Like a "Discount "?!? I'm an Amazon customer!!!! But this.....it's not going to stay in business! Btw: food court? Take a clue from Costco. Most people like too sit and eat. Pricing? How much is that chicken? I was on my way to another store, and happen to pass an Amazon Fresh store I never knew was there. I never shopped here so I figured I would try it out. I was able to get everything I planned to get from other store and it was cheaper. The employees that worked there were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be shopping there again. read more

First time i've ever felt so compelled to leave a negative review anywhere - this store has the worst costumer service i've ever experienced. The workers seem to have 0 training in how to interact with customers, i've waited after hours in my vehicle for my groceries, and have encountered numerous rude employees. When the store clerk Omar was unable to properly find the status of my in store pickup order he did not provide any apologizes, any acknowledgment of inconvenience, what he did say was "well do you want your order?". When the store manager Jaylen M. arrived at the counter after my second request for a manager he provided again no apologies, only excuses as to why the issue occurred, and when i had requested any sort of resolution/acknowledgment to this issue of continuous horrible costumer service experiences he says "we have nothing". Truly never experienced such incompetence & just straight up "IDGAF" attitude from a store manger ANYWHERE. EVER. read more

Amazon fresh as with this location are outstanding. Great price and great food great customer service. Very clean and stuff you can't get anywhere else. Highly recommend this location and all locations. Was in there tonight and the manager was outstanding who assisted us with all our concerns and even helped us check out. First time shopper, Dash Carts not working, ok can do it manually. Found prices a little higher than other markets in the area. What got me was the refrigeration units were OFF on some aisles, stopped shopping and left. Cold cuts, cookie dough, pre-made meals all getting warm, meat aisles same way, looked like they were already pulling stock. Not going to risk getting sick. read more
