Needing a minimum $100 amount of work for a job (their cleaning prices are per item and posted online), I added our leather couch which originally was a rich chocolate brown but had turned a faded red color. Thinking it needed to be cleaned and moisturized, I added that on for a total of $145. I picked a time online using their website and waited a week for them to show up. They sent me a confirmation email almost immediately, which was nice. But then they never showed up. I called them and talked to someone who said that they were having computer problems and my order was never processed. Forwarding to them their original confirmation email showed I had a job on order, but they rescheduled for another week or so out. I asked for another confirmation email which I never received. They then showed up early on the appointed day (which I didn't mind, but some might) and started on the leather couch. They told me that they tried to work on it but the discoloration was neither due to dirt nor drying out. Meaning, they couldn't do anything. They offered to refund my money paid for that, but that would have put my order under $100. So, I could pay for them to do cleaning work that wouldn't actually do anything, they could leave without touching the loveseat, or they could add on features to their loveseat job to make it $100 (or, I guess, just charge me $100 for that). We added "Teflon spray" to the loveseat and I guess it worked out. The loveseat does look better, and it was beat up to begin with, but I am pretty disappointed with the experience. I appreciate that they weren't late the second time, and didn't charge me for unnecessary work, but the RSVP mix up and then requiring me to add on stuff instead of just saying "we messed up the first time, so just pay for the loveseat cleaning and we will waive our $100 minimum job amount" is a bit annoying. I think I would call them again, but I am not in a rush to do so.

Giving a solid middle of the road rating based on a move out cleaning we recently had done. I had…read morenever used a cleaning company previously, so I posed a question asking for recommendations in one of the mom groups on Facebook. A couple of folks recommended Kavalla Clean, and there are ample reviews online, so I thought they would be a reliable choice. I was in contact initially via facebook, and scheduled the cleaning over the phone with Chris' wife. The day before our cleaning was scheduled, I asked if we could push it back a couple of hours as we still had some packing to do, and they were very accommodating. On the day of the cleaning, Chris called to let me know he was on the way, and I would say from start to finish the entire process took almost 2.5 hours. He and Rachel were both very friendly and easy to work with. I didn't examine the job that they did prior to making payment, but total cost came to $240, since they charge an hourly rate of $50 per person, per hour, and had two people doing the cleaning. I did leave a tip as well, as I'm honestly not sure what proper protocol is. When they left, I did a brief walk through of the house to see how it looked, and overall everything looked shiny and clean. I did notice a couple things right away though - the wall next to our shower still had visible dust on it, which I think probably should have been wiped, and the door leading outside had not been touched at all. This was where they had their coats hung up though, so I think that may have just slipped their mind. I was specifically looking to see how clean the floors and baseboards were and those both looked great. Fast forward a couple of days to our closing, and while my husband was finishing emptying some odds and ends in the basement, he noticed several other things that didn't appear to be touched. He noticed that the dust on one of the bedroom ceiling fans was still visible, and there was some dust visible around one of the doorways, the granite vanity top in the bathroom didn't appear to be cleaned well, nor the mirror over the vanity. Since our house was completely empty upstairs, one would think this would be a fairly easy job in terms of cleaning everything as there wasn't any clutter or furniture to work around. I was definitely happy that I didn't have to worry about doing a thorough cleaning prior to leaving and I think we left the house in a very nice, clean condition, but I think in this case the cost for us wasn't completely justified or necessary. Definitely a learning experience for sure. Going forward, we will most likely utilize a cleaning company that charges a flat rate rather than a per hour cost.
