Went here for a facial, mani and massage. Thanks to Groupon. The ladies were really nice, I thought it was only a so-so experience. The facial was good. I have sensitive skin and so the aesthetician changed the facial from Pomegranate to something sensitive skin. She also upgraded the massage to 'Body Lush Hydrating Wrap'. She did good job of extractions and after few days my skin look good. The room was little small and didn't have much space to move around. (I have been to better spas at same price!) Overall: 4* The pedi was ok (got it upgraded to pedi for $10 extra) The girl who did it, did not trim the nails properly, nor did she file them. I was very disappointed to see my nails uneven. Come on.. even I would take care of trimming them evenly at home, besides this is a spa! Other than that it was pretty normal. It did last a decent amount of time though. Overall: 2* My rating, 3*. There was nothing outstanding about this place... I am glad I used groupon and didn't pay full price. read more

I have been coming to Amazing Face for several years now for bikini waxings and I love this place! Kasia is great at her work and is very easy to talk with so it takes your mind off any pain you might feel with waxing such a sensitive area. Her pricing on this is really hard to find anywhere else too! I also recently bought the Living Social deal for the Mani/Pedi. I got really luck with being able to get right in. They sold over 1,000 of these and have been booking up quickly so you would need an appointment to redeem it. I was really happy to get Kayleigh for this appointment. I am five months pregnant and her foot massage was amazing!!!! Just what this momma to be needed! The painting job was good, I still have it on my toes a month later although it needs to be changed! The mani was equally as enjoyable. I was also able to try out the new "Shattered" polish which I thought was a fun change on my normal manicure. I am really excited for my next visit back since I found out that they have Shellac! Yes it is more expensive, but for a nail polish that doesn't chip I would have to say it's totally worth it. read more

Bought a groupon months & months ago (2 Brazilians), but I kept getting too nervous to come try it out. Finally after realizing I only had 2 months before it expired, I booked an appt for one. The first time I went they did a test strip & it turned out I had to wait 10 more days to get it done. So here I was 10 days later, still nervous but not as much because the wax test strip wasn't that bad at all. My previous experience of waxing includes my brows (which I only pluck now) & my upper lip (which I've been doing myself the past year or so), so I wasn't new to waxing, just any type of bikini/Brazilian. It still made me veru nervous though. Long story short, she (Kasha I believe was her name) was absolutely amazing. She kept eye contact with me almost the whole time talking & really made my 'exposure' seem like it was nothing. (Mind you, I was even more nervous about that). She talked to me the whole time & it was actually an engaging conversation where even after the waxing we finished our stories before she left the room for me to change. There were about 3 strips pulled that REALLY hurt but the rest was just like any normal waxing pain. My body tends to slightly shiver when I am in pain (i.e. after piercings, shots, tattoos, etc) & she had no problem with it & didn't even mention anything about my quivering hands aftet the first half. I am booked for another & after seeing if the experience is even better/results last, then I will most likely become a regular for her even after my groupon ends. She is a bit far (30 min drive from me) but the experience has been almost painless with her being a distraction through the process. Oh & she doesn't double dip the wax, etc. She keeps the room clean & sanitized which I also appreciate very much, but be warned she washes/sanitizes her hands instead of wearing gloves; which I actually prefer! & she doesn't 'double wax' (waxing over the same area twice) which is really important because that could cause skin damage. Overall her 10 yrs experience really shows! I'm glad I went to her for my first Brazilian, who knows how awful the experience could have been! The reason I come to this place has to do with, number one, my acne, which I have been having problems since my teenage years. The fact that this is the only place in the Bay Area that I know of that do extraction treatment without making to much fuss about it. Maybe because it is run by two polish women. I feel like the very idea of doing it makes everyone else very nervous or "unclean" somehow. This kind of service in Poland, the way I got used to it, was a bit more elaborate. The price is steep so I don't come very often and I resent paying tips but this is really the best service I can get in this country. So I recently got an email from Kasha, she informed me that she actually uses a can of wax per 3 clients, the first 2 get a new stick every time, the 3rd one she uses the same stick because they are the "last client." Went for a facial service by Mariola and found that its really a five star worth place. Clean and relaxing. My esthetician Mariola was very nice to speak with and even better at her work. This was my least painful experience as far as the extraction is concerned. And since it was my first time here - Mariola gave me an added service for 30 mins free :) Nice massage and steam. I really hesitated to write this review but I think it is only fair to those of you using Yelp which can impact your packet and face. This review is only for the facial. I had already at least 3 facial in different times. I really wanted and still want the business to succeed but they really need to make some adjustment. They are really sweet people but I am looking for quality and some peace of mind. The Facial lady, does not stop talking while giving you the facial, when all you trying to do is relax. The extraction part hurts, and she even squeezed things that were not pimple in your face. I believe a few years ago, I bought a GROUPON and oh my goodness is was so hard for it to be honored, tones of excuses came to the story. So DON"T bother with GROUPON. She does only that, facial, no message, no oils NOTHING, just facial so be ready it is all you will get. Don't be late or cancel because you get yielded and PENALIZED ( you can email if you want more details) . If you need to cancel make sure you do it ahead of time and talk to someone ( I called, left a message to cancelled, yes, the same day I was there, I called to cancel my next appointment). However, I still decided to give them another chance. Unfortunately, this was a big mistake and at this point I am never going back to this place. read more

Been here twice for the Brazilian bikini wax from a deal I found on groupon. Kasha is super sweet and and makes you feel real comfortable. The waxing process is super quick. Amazing Face is absolutely amazing! I came here first by using a Groupon, and I am so glad Groupon led me to this place! I made my first appointment and was lucky enough to get the fabulous Mariola! I was taken in right on time, and Mariola was very warm and welcoming. She is very skilled at what she does and explained the process as she completed the steps along with why she was doing what she was doing. She took a thoughtful and careful amount of time on the most important but painful part of a facial, the extractions. I truly believe it is because of this that my face has made such great changes for the better! Even though this portion of the facial is painful, Mariola makes it bearable with her skillful hands as well as her funny comments throughout. I have already seen Mariola for 2 sessions and have seen amazing results in a short amount of time. Additionally, Mariola is not pushy on trying to get you to buy products or more sessions. This place should go out of business. The lady who was to give me a facial refused to honor my Groupon coupon and demanded a huge tip while I was lying there helplessly. She stated that the facial I had paid for was no longer available and the same facial was going to cost me 50 dollars. I got up and left and complained about this to Groupon. If the facial was no longer the same price I should not be penalized for it. Please stay away. They do not answer the phone and it took me a week to get an appointment. I visited this place yesterday with high hopes to get a facial done. I checked for european/sensitive skin facial. I have sensitive skin so I was not sure which one will be better. I went in there at 7 :30 PM on friday evening. They accommodated me as I wanted to have this facial on friday evening only. The place was nice and clean. I asked mariola ( I think I got the correct name) of which facial I should take and she recommended a sensitive skin facial. I had my facial and she gave me a l kind of got a back massage which she said is not a part of this facial generally. But, I was really expecting a face massage which was not there at all. I checked their website for sensitive facial and they did mention that you get a facial massage. I did not get that one. So, no glow out of that facial as I was expecting. But anyways she did a good job with cleaning my face. She also gave me some free samples. The only regret I have is about the face massage :( I read more

I have been going to Amazing Face since 2004 and I have NEVER found a better facial. I had severe breakouts then, but after several months of intensive work, Kasia and Mariola saved my face. Whenever I see a person with acne, I want to send them here. Please please try this spa if you have acne and you will get back your confidence!!!
