Amarillo urology is trying to bill me for a service that was 13 months ago. according to state law billing laws, healthcare providers are suppose to send the initial bill to the patient no later than first day of the 11th month after services are provided. If the provider missed this deadline, they cannot collect payments for charges after the deadline has passed. The staff is very short and rude over the phone. I had to change doctors to mine leaving. It takes to long to get in and see a dr. They called and change or moved my appointment 3 times. I still have not got see my new dr, its been over a year. read more

DO NOT USE THESE DOCTORS! I tried to get a referral for the female urologist since I have personal reasons for not wanting a male doctor as my urologist. I was told I "CANT" choose my doctor and that I had to go with the rotation of the doctor that was available at that time. I was told I had to wait until August of 2025. Four months and I can't choose a doctor that I would be comfortable with? Office staff and manager had terrible manners and were not compassionate or empathetic about my concerns. Three different calls were made to this office (even from my referring doctors office) to ask to help me and were RUDELY turned away. They didn't care if I took my business elsewhere! No person in pain should be treated this way. read more

Ability to change Dr is not an option, boys club at work. If you are unhappy with the physician you see, they will not let you change except for a 1 time consultation with an other urologist in the practice, then back to the physician you no longer trust. It is purely good ole boy politics at work. They are running a monopoly in Amarillo. I especially personally would not recommend Dr. Robert Houston Ritter, arrogant, does not spend time with patients, gives the impression that he is not up on current medical treatments. Office manager is no help at all! I'm working on a report to the Texas medical board for these issues. In America you should not have to deal with politics in your medical care at a local level, if a Dr is not a good fit they should refer you to another Dr within the practice! read more

It has been 6 months since I've had kidney/urinary tract pain. Every day of my life since July of last year, my kidneys have been killing me. Not only are the medical workers in dalhart incompetent; but apparently here, too. I was scheduled an appointment at 2:30 a month ahead of time; no problems. When I finally take my car and drive up to Amarillo; to make sure, I call them. Come to find out that my appointment has been changed to 9 IN THE MORNING. No word, no communication, radio silence. I seriously don't understand how the medical field is so mismanaged and unorganized. It is pathetic; covid is not an excuse for the level of negligence I have went through since July of 2020. TLDR;; you're better off going to a bigger city or an out-of-state hospital. read more

This is a joke of a center. No one know what they are doing. I have two insurance companies and they have billed them and got paid. But they have put the contracted discount on my credit. Like we are all stupid and don't know what insurance is for. Find a different place. read more

Had a vasectomy here with Dr Wilkerson. It was a great experience. I highly recommend using these guys for any urology needs. Beth was the best nurse and distracted me the whole time by cracking jokes. read more

Covulted billing process. They took $100 deposit for a consultation then billed me for $93. I have called to get it resolved but they have turned me over to a collection agency. In the meantime Ive decided to look elsewhere for a vasectomy. If I have to eat $100 loss, due to their incompetence, then ok. But dont want to be on the hook for several thousand bucks because of their haphazard billing. read more
