If I could give her a million stars I would. I can honestly say that I would not be here today if…read moreit weren't for Maria. She was exactly what I needed when I didn't even know I needed her. Right off the bat she did her best to make me feel comfortable, to understand my needs. To address the other comment, I too have a BA in Psychology, and Maria definitely knows more than me. Perhaps this woman being forced into therapy might lend to her distaste because I loved every minute of it (even if I was bawling my eyes out). Maria never once broke confidentiality, and I'm sure she never has because if that were the case she more than likely would not be practicing anymore. The Maria this person is writing about must be a completely different person, because no part of her comments are the truth. Maria always listened. Maria guided me. She never gave an opinion, she used her tools to help me find my own. Also, yes, there is a fee if there is a no-call, no-show, but this is made clear in the beginning, and I am almost certain we have to sign a document showing we are aware of this. There were many times I couldn't make it, but I let her know and she was more than willing to reschedule and never made me feel bad about it. She also has two lovely dogs you can't help but love! Of course, no one person is going to be the right fit for those struggling with mental health issues, but Maria was that person for me. Please don't let some disgruntled comment stop you from seeing Maria yourself. If it doesn't work out, then that's your choice. But I can personally testify that Maria is nothing but wonderful, as a human and as a mental health professional.

Maria is professional, kind, loving and was highly recommend to me. I have been in her care for…read moremore than a year slowly decreasing the frequency of visits as I started to feel better. We always decided together how often I needed or wanted to come. I also missed an appointment and even though I don't have money to blow, I had no problem paying her when I forgot my appointment. She is well worth it and it was my fault I forgot my appointment not hers. Maria needs to be paid for her time just like the rest of us and she was extremely valuable to me and i am positive you will feel the same. I want to be sure and give specific reasons why Maria is the best therapist. I had lots of issues, she was able to help find a solution to all of them and gave me tools and resources to use at home. When I had a crisis, or something difficult come up, she helped me over the phone in that moment by reminding me of tools we went over, or techniques we practiced in our sessions or simply reminding me to write down what is real and what I know, verses what I was dreaming up in my head and focus on what was real. Anything that came up she helped with. She will also not quit on you or give up, if something isn't working, she will find a way that will help. With Maria it is team work, if you want to get better and feel better she can help. I highly recommend her!

I worked for Tabitha as a Home Health RN until recently. The other nurses and staff are amazing,…read morebut management is abusive and toxic, and human resources as a whole does nothing but cover themselves legally. Although Tabitha advertises itself as an equal opportunity employer, I was refused reasonable accommodations and discriminated against and harassed because of my disability to the point where I was forced to resign. I would never want someone who is taking care of my loved ones to be subjected to that. I have ADHD and PTSD; I disclosed this to my manager upon hire. 2-3 months into training, my manager and, seemingly randomly, the QA manager began weekly meetings where my performance was critiqued. At this point, I was 1 of 3 new RN hires and the only new RN hire required to learn the admission process (a very detailed 4-6 hour long process.) I was given minimal training on this process, and when I asked for a checklist (a reasonable accommodation for my ADHD) I was refused. I was required to complete this process again and again, without accommodations, at least twice weekly. Management began telling me that all of my documentation needed to be completed by the end of the day, when all of the other nurses were given up to 5 days, even if this meant I was forced to work 12 hours with no notice. None of the other nurses were forced to do this. During weekly meetings, management would spend the entire time gaslighting me, stating that the other new nurses were being required to do the same things yet I was the only one failing. This is a complete lie, as the other new RNs did not learn admissions yet and were not independently case managing. The point of those meetings was to make me feel as inadequate as possible, and leave a paper trail of me "failing," even though I was further along than the other new RNs. Meetings were as degrading as possible, and often left me in tears for my following patient visits. At one meeting, it was determined by management that I was not excited enough to go over my schedule for the next week. After asking for several different reasonable accommodations and being subsequently refused, I replied "I guess" when asked if we should look at the following week's schedule. I got written up for saying "I guess" and was told that it the tone of my voice constituted "unbecoming conduct." This write up then gave management enough to place me on a formal improvement plan which was never lifted, even when I met all the goals set forth. It is quite clear to me that I was treated differently because of my disabilities, and was refused the opportunity to be successful with this company because of those. Tabitha could easily have granted any of the reasonable accommodations I requested: a detailed checklist, adequate training, safe caseload, reduced work hours to 36 hours/week, and several others. These accommodations were not an undue hardship, and I have to wonder why Tabitha refused them as an organization supposedly dedicated to vulnerable individuals.
