If I could give her a million stars I would. I can honestly say that I would not be here today if it weren't for Maria. She was exactly what I needed when I didn't even know I needed her. Right off the bat she did her best to make me feel comfortable, to understand my needs. To address the other comment, I too have a BA in Psychology, and Maria definitely knows more than me. Perhaps this woman being forced into therapy might lend to her distaste because I loved every minute of it (even if I was bawling my eyes out). Maria never once broke confidentiality, and I'm sure she never has because if that were the case she more than likely would not be practicing anymore. The Maria this person is writing about must be a completely different person, because no part of her comments are the truth. Maria always listened. Maria guided me. She never gave an opinion, she used her tools to help me find my own. Also, yes, there is a fee if there is a no-call, no-show, but this is made clear in the beginning, and I am almost certain we have to sign a document showing we are aware of this. There were many times I couldn't make it, but I let her know and she was more than willing to reschedule and never made me feel bad about it. She also has two lovely dogs you can't help but love! Of course, no one person is going to be the right fit for those struggling with mental health issues, but Maria was that person for me. Please don't let some disgruntled comment stop you from seeing Maria yourself. If it doesn't work out, then that's your choice. But I can personally testify that Maria is nothing but wonderful, as a human and as a mental health professional. read more

Maria is professional, kind, loving and was highly recommend to me. I have been in her care for more than a year slowly decreasing the frequency of visits as I started to feel better. We always decided together how often I needed or wanted to come. I also missed an appointment and even though I don't have money to blow, I had no problem paying her when I forgot my appointment. She is well worth it and it was my fault I forgot my appointment not hers. Maria needs to be paid for her time just like the rest of us and she was extremely valuable to me and i am positive you will feel the same. I want to be sure and give specific reasons why Maria is the best therapist. I had lots of issues, she was able to help find a solution to all of them and gave me tools and resources to use at home. When I had a crisis, or something difficult come up, she helped me over the phone in that moment by reminding me of tools we went over, or techniques we practiced in our sessions or simply reminding me to write down what is real and what I know, verses what I was dreaming up in my head and focus on what was real. Anything that came up she helped with. She will also not quit on you or give up, if something isn't working, she will find a way that will help. With Maria it is team work, if you want to get better and feel better she can help. I highly recommend her! read more

If I could give her a negative rating I would!! I have a bachelors in psychology and I know more than she does. she did not help me and I was forced to go to her which was a huge mistake. she did not honor confidentiality rules was very uncooperative and did not listen to me she just made up what she had her own opinions and preconceived notions.m of me and based everything on that. She made me pay out of pocket if I missed a session - even if I missed it because I was ill or car problems. I would definitely give her a negative review and recommend no one sees her!! read more
