Keith's Wheel Alignment

Downtown

Keith was friendly, knowledgeable and the service was quick, multiple people suggested this shop…read moreand it did not disappoint. I wanted an alignment that was a little more aggressive than a standard setup for street driving as the plan is to at some point...when I have time...to start doing track days. The cost for the alignment was on par with any other shop in town but I would absolutely classify Keith as an expert. Keith warned me about tire wear and what to watch out for with the alignment I went with and pointed me in the direction of alternatives to SCCA in the area My understanding is this is THE shop to go to for Miata owners and Miata is always the answer so regardless of the type of Miata you drive trust that Keith is going to hook you up. (Miata enthusiasts call every car a Miata btw see photo)

I took my truck here for new struts/shocks on the recommendation of a friend. Keith was friendly…read moreand seemed knowledgeable. He gave me his assessment of the existing struts/shocks and then his recommendations on work to be done. The work was done exactly as he described, though I was a little surprised at the price - $1800 for new struts/shocks, an alignment and tire rotation/balance, $700 of which was for parts, the rest for labor. Since I rarely take my truck to the shop, maybe I'm just out of touch on how much shop labor costs these days. Despite some sticker shock, I have no complaints: Keith was a pleasure to do business with. (One note: Keith charges a 4% service fee for credit cards, so if you want to avoid being surprised by a hefty service charge bring cash or check. He does not advertise this fee aside from a sign on the wall, and did not mention it until I noticed it on the invoice. So be ready for that.)

Was driving thru ABQ on way to cali and noticed a nail in tire…read more Went to discount tire and they said couple hours plus may have to replace it even tho its a near new tire and the nail was small and almost center. Called Baca Auto and the owner told me to bring it in he can have me out in 45 mins... I drive in and hes only half mile away from discount. He sees out of state plates and stuff in my car so could have charged me whatever reasonably and I would have paid so I could keep rolling and not have to get a new tire. He quoted me 10 bucks for a Patch!! Thats less than what many shops charge for a plug. He got the work done and I was out of there asap.. handed him a 20 for his fast work and honesty. As a former tech and shop owner I will tell you locals that this guy is honest and in the auto world honety is a rare commodity.

I feel responsible to let others know what I went through…read more When I came to collect my car after Dan told me it wouldn't start he then called me the next day saying he got it going again. Not to mention he replaced my battery without telling me or having any open communication. I had to go to his store because he was avoiding me. When I come in to pay he starts talking a lot, yapping about nonsense distracting me so I would not have time to actually understand the paper i was signing and the amount of money I was paying him for returning my car in worse shape than it was. He charged me $350.00. I will never be going to that shop again, and I am leaving it with a bad taste in my mouth. I was recommended to Dan from a collision service while I was calling around to find someone to fix a broken wheel bearing. He got me in within a day before the holiday and repaired it for a minimal charge. I came back when my car was having trouble accelerating a couple months later. I own an old hybrid vehicle. I dropped it off at 10am. Dan told me he set my car to idle for 20 minutes. after letting it sit at his shop all day. he ended up draining the battery and it died. He ends up buying a new battery and installing it. I have not had any communication with him at all up to that point. I had actually called twice and was sent to voicemail. I then called on my partners phone and it went straight to voicemail as if the phone was off. I show back up at 5pm after trying to get in touch. He tells me he killed my battery and a new one is on the way. It will be ready in an hour. We come back in an hour and they're sitting in my car. Dan tells me that my car is dead and will not start. He allowed me to leave it over night. I ask him for a written invoice of what he exactly did. He proceeded to get upset with me before agreeing to get the invoice to me the next day (after trying to lie and downplay the negligence he had with my car). I got a call back at 9:38 the next morning saying oh we got your car running. It turns out there is a reset switch on the car and he did some research, figured it out and started my car. Dan did not take me seriously, he did not have me agree to any work done before he did it and he charged me a hefty amount. I am upset that I paid what i did. I knew more about my car than he did.
