She is diabetic and spent about a month there, but encountered two troubling situations. The first incident involved her request for snacks and water, which she needs to help maintain her blood sugar levels. When she politely asked a staff member for assistance, she was told the cafeteria was closed and was refused a second time when she asked again. It wasn't until the issue was escalated to management that she was finally provided with what she needed. This delay could have been dangerous for her health. The second issue was even more concerning. On August 6th or 7th, my sister noticed that $50 and a bottle of perfume were missing from her bathroom. She attempted to report the theft to the administration team (Melissa and Joy), but received no meaningful response. Instead of support or investigation, the situation was brushed off, and she was even made to feel as though she might not have had the items to begin with. At no point did anyone take accountability or offer reassurance. We expected a supportive and professional environment with strong management, but what we encountered was poor customer service and a lack of responsibility. I sincerely hope Cypress Village takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements to ensure future residents and families do not experience the same issues. I am going to try to make a grievance and I will pursue this issueto

Prior to COVID, I visited daily to make sure she was being cared for. On 9/18/2020 VITAS Hospice called me & confirmed that Mom was not allowed out of bed and was no longer provided meals because "she took too long to eat". I immediately initiated a change in Hospice facilities and had her evaluated and moved to a Hospice House. My 4'11" Mom weighed 60 lbs, had extensive gangrene on both feet, bed sores on her backside and her teeth were rotted to the point of falling out. Mom died on 9/21/20. Beach House never notified me that Mom was near death, however Executive Director, Liz verbally gave me 45 days to move Mom to a nursing home, as Mom could no longer "stand & pivot". I could provide further details of incompetence but choose to end my review here.

His speech has been affected, so he is difficult to communicate with. He needs the assisted. Like most families, we worried about the care he received, particularly in such a vulnerable condition. The Beach House is fabulous. They are clean, competent and compassionate. All the caregivers know my father by name. They all seem to have personal stories about him that they share when we visit. It is clear that they know him and love him. He is always clean and happy when we come to visit, which is with pretty high frequency. He is comfortable and safe in his room. He has easy access to more social areas. All of the folks living their appear to be well cared for. The Beach House overcomes all of the stereotypes many of us of my (boomer) generation fear. I have gotten more confident that those stereotypes are not longer accurate. But anyone considering assisted living for a loved one should visit the Beach House. It is a very comfortable situation - with privacy as well as social living conveniently available to any patient. Most of all, I want to say that the warmth of conscientiousness of the staff is their greatest asset. It can't be easy caring for seniors at this stage - but the staff is totally dedicated to making them feel part of something better and larger. We love the place. Ryan Hixenbaugh

I went to 3 other facilities in the Ponte Vedra area but decided that Ponte Vedra Gardens was without a doubt the best place for my mom. My mom was in N.Y. at the time and was having home health care and was not quite ready for PV Gardens. Julie was an angel to work with and was very diligent at getting me all the information I needed to make a decision and was patient and flexible with everything! After going to the facility quite a few times and even talking to people who had their loved ones there, I put down my deposit. But it ended up my mom passed away a month before she was scheduled to begin her new journey to live at Ponte Vedra Gardens. Wanted the community to know how great it was to work with Julie and would absolutely recommend Ponte Vedra Gardens!!
