They told me the inspector would be there between 9AM - 12PM. He was there at 9:01AM. He let me know that my ducts were BUSTED. Like really bad. Gaps everywhere, broken stuff. The "Miami special" he called it. Showed me videos of all the issues to verify what he was saying. Although at first I thought the quote they gave me was a bit on the higher end, after I saw everything they did I've changed my mind and think the quote was honestly very fair. They replaced all the ducts in my attic, hung them (they were lying on the floor before...), replaced all the vents, covered my entire house in plastic, added an air return to a bedroom, picked up all the debris when they were done, and did all that in just like 3-4 hours. Honestly these folks are incredible. Shoutout to Amit. Such a friendly and funny guy. He took the time to explain to me all the issues he was seeing and why they mattered. He was the first one in a line of guys to finally explain that the master bedroom was so hot (5+ degrees hotter than rest of the house) because it didn't have a return. Once they installed that it feels like I have a new house. I've never slept better.

Then I had the good fortune to call HVAC GOAT. Mr. Duran answered promptly; despite being busy himself, he showed up as promised. He swapped out the thermostat, and just like that, I had heat again. A few days later, as the weather warmed up, I discovered that I had no air conditioning (A/C). Mr. Duran came right back and conducted additional troubleshooting. Now I was without both A/C and heat. Mr. Duran surmised that I might need a new $500 control board. However, after further investigation, he found a faulty wire causing an intermittent connection. Replacing the wire was a simple fix, and soon I had both heat and A/C working perfectly! Remarkably, Mr. Duran didn't charge me for the follow-up visit to find the faulty wire. He was efficient, quick, and honest, without any unnecessary games about replacing the control board.
