this is one of my in-laws favorite restaurants, so we come here quite a bit when we're visiting…read more although they do have outdoor seating, the indoor seating is spread amongst rooms and all are painted with various Greek motifs, which gives it a fun ambiance. service is relatively cheerful and fast. the menu is extensive -- expect all the usual Greek specialties, such as souvlaki, spanakopita, dolmas, moussaka, etc. they do lamb especially well, and there are a lot of choices for it. there's also octopus, chicken, and then of course plenty of red meat. i think the best value, especially when dining in a group, are the assortment plates -- "teller" or "platten" on the menu. you get a lot of all the house specialties, and portions are generous. and of course there's a complimentary shot of ouzo at the end! be aware they are closed for a few hours between lunch and dinner.

While nothing on the menu (except for the fries) seemed to be vegan, the waiter and I found some plant-based solutions quite easily. I started with the grilled pepperonis, left out the sauce and substituted with a garlic oil. Yummy! My main dish consisted if a warm version of the stuffed vine-leaves (also minus the regular sauce plus a garlicky oil alternative) and a serving of delicious thick fries. I left happy, full and content knowing that I can finally join my family for a Greek night out again.

I doubt though I would make a 30+ min detour just to dine here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve five stars" hence "only" four stars. Good meals at reasonable prices in an atmosphere that reflects meals & pricing.
