I was able to see Dr Alwes while visiting our kids in Las Vegas in October 2025. Fortunately for me there was a last-minute cancellation and I was able to get right in and be tested for foods that are a problem for me. I thought red wine was giving me headaches but come to find out it was coffee all along. I gave up coffee and have not had a headache since. I can enjoy an occasional glass of red wine without any issues at all. Along with the other recommendations she gave me, my health has seen a great improvement over these past few months. PLEASE READ! I don't recommend anyone to see Pauline Alwes. It's a disgrace for anyone to even call her a doctor. I only went to see her because western doctors were not able to provide me with answers. I was introduced to her my a good friend of mine, but I definitely should of done my due diligence before seeing her. I have been dealing with rashes throughout my life and it would flare up pretty bad time to time. On my initial visit, Pauline suggested I get tested on her machine and also get an allergy test. Due to desperation I agreed. She diagnosed me and told me that I had parasites in my gut. She also told me that I was allergic to rice and told me to cut that out of my diet. After about 45 minutes she gave me some liquid remedies to take orally. With the initial visit, the allergy test, and the remedies the bill came close to $650. Later that day I took the "remedies" to kill the parasite and cleanse my body. A few hours after I took the remedy I had the worst flare up in my life. I knew something was wrong and called Pauline where she just told me that it was my body detoxing the parasites. She insisted I continue taking the remedies and that i will get better. I did not get better. In fact I got worse. My skin began to start crust over and was rushed into ER. At the hospital I was properly diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and received the proper treatment. Long story short please do your due diligence before picking out a holistic Doctor. Visited Dr. Pauline Alwes for the first time today. Im 33 and have been having hot flashes and other issues since age 27. Sooooo disgusted and disappointed w/Dr. Alwes!!! My mother, sister, and I have been seeing Dr. Alwes for almost 20yrs up until today. Smdh!!! I've even gotten my father, boyfriend, and boyfriend's mother to see her recently and I can't believe how she acted today. My mother and I had a wonderful appointment until check-out. We were told when the receptionist scheduled our appt a few weeks ago that it was a "short check" due to following up w/our most recent appt because Dr. Alwes had us take new supplements. So, when it was time to check out we were told we were being charged for a full recheck, plus whatever the supplements cost. That was not what the receptionist quoted us when we made this current appt a few weeks ago. Long story short, Dr. Alwes came around the corner and adamantly (in an unprofessional/rude tone) said "IT's a FULL CHECK" - w/out even trying to hear what we were told by HER receptionist at all. Finally, she said "CHARGE THEM THE SHORT-CHECK and DON'T COME BACK AGAIN...FIND ANOTHER NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR!!!" Mind you, we were just w/her in an appt talking and laughing about things. She flipped it on us real quick and showed us who she really was!!! It's giving 500 years ago vibes!!! If you know what I mean. The look she gave us as if she was above us! I'm more disgusted and disappointed w/her for being so rude and disrespectful to my mother who has been nothing but kind to her and always believed in what she was doing. Again, we've been (or shall I say, did) seeing her for almost 20yrs and this is how she treats us??!!! Horrible customer service experience. It started with general rudeness from the receptionist and Dr. Alwes, then progressed into scheduling problems that the receptionist told me were my fault (there was no attempt to help me resolve it or explain HOW it was my fault) and ended with me finally getting a follow up appointment booked only to arrive at my scheduled time to find the place closed up for the day - door locked, no lights, no people, no one answered when I knocked or showed up after I waited for 10 minutes because I was a little early. The allergy test was helpful - Bill was great!! I just never got a chance to adjust the supplements Dr. Alwes gave me because apparently the "No Charge Follow Up" is code for them never actually making you another appointment again. read more

She has brought back my perky outgoing social teen from their dark depressed cave of slumber!! What we thought was just typical hormonal or puberty woes. We originally took our teen in for some eczema issues which I thought was due to food allergies (spoiler alert it was... sorta) but Dr. Alwes found a much deeper rooted issue that was cascading causing all kinds of problems. Including their depression, anxiety, adhd, food allergies, eczema, and so much more. While they are no where near "cured", we are still working though the many layers like peeling an onion working our way down to the core issue. I have been a patient of Dr Alwes for 15 years. Every office visit cost about $300-$400.00. I thought that all was well but then I called to make an appointment. The receptionist told me that Dr. Alwes said to inform me that I was no longer welcomed as a patient and for me to " go see a specialist." What specialist? She did not tell me nor did she explain why she so abruptly dismissed me. After 15 years she toss me out like trash. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

I'm very disappointed by Dr. Alwes, the exam (if I call that exam) was 5 min and she told me that I have to go to another specialist, she didn't ask me any question, I don't have even a chance to explain the simptoms I have and I paid $275 for that. Again Doctor Alwes came to the rescue when general medicine failed. After two years of abdominal distress and countless Imaging and tests, she diagnosed the problem and proceeded to treat it. Dr. Alwes is an extraordinary resource and godsend to those of us able to appreciate her --and I've had more than a decade of consistently excellent experience with her to back up my recommendation. Beware of nasty rants from those with such limited experience, and less limited negative emotion. You will be missing out on someone incredibly special. As an example, I am currently watching my dearest friend's brain literally open and regenerate before my eyes, after she suffered a massive stroke. She came home a shell of herself, and is already far beyond the prognosis of doctors because of the direction & homeopathics Dr. Alwes has provided. How do you even measure the value of that? It's impossible. Dr. Alwes is helping her regain her life. To see her making such amazing progress day by day is something words cannot express. While Dr. Alwes has mostly helped me be in optimum balance, feel great --and become aware of foods that could become allergies if I over indulged in them, she has also helped me with more serious things that arose over the years as well. Dr. Alwes helped me clear a dangerous bacteria from bad sushi, and even saved another friend of mine from having an unnecessary shortening surgery on his tendon. The surgery would have required his foot to be broken in two places. He's in his 70's, and his lifestyle would have been severely impacted. Dr. Alwes is amazing! I having been struggling severe gut issues for 12 + years. I have been to the Cleveland Clinic in OH and several doctors over the years here. Although one doctor was close here they never got to the root of the issues. Dr. Alwes suggested natural medicine all have been very reasonable in cost and doesn't push a bunch of things. LIAR!! Dr. Alwes is a bold-faced liar and a cheat. My wife and I were patients of hers until my wife went in for a short follow-up appointment as our primary concern is her thyroid. Instead of charging the usual $50 for a short appointment, Dr. Alwes took advantage of the fact that my wife is pregnant and tried to charge her $165 for a full follow-up. When I called the office to discuss the charge, Dr. Alwes lied and said my wife requested the full evaluation, which she did not. But she wasn't done. The next day, I had a missed call from her office while I was at work, but the receptionist told my wife that the Dr. spoke to me and sorted everything out. But I did not speak to her!! We are now both removed from the schedule and can no longer see her as patients. So Dr. Alwes took advantage of my wife being pregnant, and then lied to our faces to cover her tracks. Dr. Pauline Alwes is an amazing naturopath. I had gone to her after a homeopath and endinchronologist gave me too much thyroid medication. I found out I didn't need thyroid medication at all, but needed something to help my adrenal gland system. Through her knowledge and care, I am finally on the road to health again. It has taken me three years to resolve this frustrating problem but she nailed it. She also tested my husband telling him he did not have cancer after a traditional doctor said he did - you can imagine the relief we felt from learning that! pauline is amazing and really knows her stuff. I was diagnosed with severe Crohn's disease and in a lot of pain. I was on several medications and weighed under a hundred pounds. I think it's hit or miss with Dr. Alwes. I took my 13 year old daughter in b/c she had symptoms of bone pain, hives, and fluctuating fever (up to 104.7) for several weeks. I made the mistake of telling the doctor that my daughter rode a horse 2 weeks before she became ill. After 20 minutes evaluating her, she claimed she had parasites and her thyroid was out of sync. She gave us two large bottles of pills. Eval and pills = $300. After 5 days of no improvement (she said she would begin to feel better in 4 days), we took her to Orange County Children's Hospital (CHOC). This hospital has won awards for the best care in California. Because of what Dr. Alwes diagnosed, I had urine, blood, AND a stool sample done...no sign of parasites. My daughter was diagnosed in CA. with having systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). My advice is to get any diagnosis in writing if you decide to ignore this post. read more

I am 37 and very active. A few months ago I developed pain in my feet to point of needing to use crutches. Pauline is in tune with her diagnosistic machine and has fixed me up several times. She is right on target. Her testing results were similar to the more invasive tests from Steinberg Diagnostic Center ordered by my conventional DR.
