Car Service of South Florida was excellent and made the beginning of our trip (right before a predicted hurricane landfall, too) that much less stressful. Alan, our driver, called to confirm the night before and actually showed up outside our home 10 minutes early. He was most friendly and helpful, especially nice considering the time of day! The luxury sedan we had for our ride was comfortable, clean and spacious. The trip from Boca wasn't long, and we made it to the airport very much on time and feeling quite relaxed. The price was $65 + tip and was worth every penny. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience with this company and would definitely recommend using them!

No such thing as a cheap and good limo…read more Being a newbie at getting a limo, I learned that. I had the hair brained idea of taking my gals birthday to the next level, and at the last minute I decided to call around and see what kind of offer I could get. I started with a friends company and was woken up by how pricey it was. There must be some hidden costs I can't see. But I did end up with a decent rate from A1A limos. The driver was a nice guy, he was right on time. He helped get things set up in the back so that we were good to go and comfortable. The limo itself was close to perfect. I believe we had to have our own ice ready but they had gave me a heads up on that so we were set. We had a great night. I've waited 6 months to write this review, mainly because I do not like to write negative reviews…read more But I feel compelled to write it because it started our vacation off in a very stressful manner. I wanted to hire a service to pick us up from the airport because we had never been to Fort Lauderdale and were not familiar with the area. We landed and after getting our luggage, I immediately contacted the driver. Only then was I told that our driver would not be meeting us in the baggage claim area, which is what I specifically requested. Looking back at our emails, I missed where the pickup was pointed out in the email, it's my fault that I didn't understand we would not be met in the baggage claim area, so that's on me. But I should have addressed it before our trip. I spoke with the driver, who had a very heavy accent and I had a lot of difficulty understanding him, which he sounded very annoyed about. He told us he could not pick us up in front of the arrival area and we had to go to the right at the end of the terminal. All we saw at the end of the terminal was an unlit area. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid. The pickup area had very little light. But we proceeded forward, picked a spot and I called the driver again. When he showed up and saw my mobility scooter, it seemed to make him very mad. I had specifically requested a van, just to accommodate our luggage and my scooter, and I had communicated to Jiffy Jeff I had a scooter. He was very rude and irritated and kept saying it was not going to fit (keep in mind, it was a VAN). It took me several minutes to explain that we could take the scooter apart to get it in the van. Finally, after I started disassembling my scooter, and he begrudgingly help load the parts in the van. As two women, I did not like getting into a van with a man who was visibly angry, but we did. My sister and I were very uncomfortable. On the drive, I tried asking him questions about the area, for example, "is that downtown Fort Lauderdale?" And he said "That's not where we're going." I said, "I understand, but I just want to know if that is downtown." Again he snapped at me saying "that's not where we're going." We spent $160 (including the $30 tip we we begrudgingly gave him) to go from Fort Lauderdale Airport to the Hilton by the cruise port, which is 4 miles and about a 15 minute drive. It was NOT worth it. Needless to say, I will NOT be using this company again and will just take an Uber XL.
