I used this pool company for far longer that I should have. I was being charged $150 per month for my pool service which I thought was a fair price. However, far too often would they nickel and dime me with extra fees and charges that I rarely only had to pay the $150 we had initially agreed to. They were constantly comping up with ways to charge me for more and more money. The straw that finally broke the camels back was when I politely asked if the technician would place my pool floaties back into the pool when service was complete to prevent them from constantly getting ruined from them being removed and left on the pavement or in planters. The response I got was unacceptable. Instead of agreeing to this small ask I was told the floaties were my responsibility and that they refused to accept my request. Customer service from management was very poor through my experience. On the positive side the technician actually doing the work did a good job of keeping the pool clean and did a good job overall. It is a shame the management was not better. Tons of options in bakersfield for pool service. I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Mike the owner will cuss you out. He absolutely does not know how to speak to customers. Read his reviews. And it's not just him! His secretary (wife?) is just as rude. Look at my pool. Completely horrifying. Do not waste your time with Mike or Never Blu UPDATE: I had six different companies come out and give me estimates. Holy crap. My pool was a disaster. Always Blue Pools blamed my neighbors tree for my pool problems and according to ALL SIX POOL COMPANIES, my pool has been mismanaged and neglected for months. I have worn out pump seals, broken auto fill float and the chemicals are completely out of range. I was told multiple times that my water hadn't been tested because there was no way anyone would leave my pool that way. I've emailed the owner about my final bill with no response. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! Thank you for all your professionalism and prompt service. If I have ever had a problem they were more than accommodating and went above and beyond to make things right. Thank you for all your hard work and I proudly love supporting a small local business!!!! read more

If you're looking for a pool cleaning company I suggest you call around and ask for prices because if you don't know how much things cost this guy will bleed you dry of all your money! I needed a pool pump replaced and he charged just for the pump and installation was $700 And the pump was only $150 retail. And another separate $90 every 2 months on top of $140 monthly to clean the filter. Which btw my new pool guy cleans for no additional fee And when you cancel on him lock your backyard if you don't want your pool sabotaged read more

HORRIBLE COMPANY!! Stay Away from this company!! The owner Mike is abusive when anyone questions his company's performance. We hired them to do the start-up on our new pool and now our plaster is now irreversibly damaged. We will need to get the whole pool re-plastered because of their lack of attention during the startup process. When we approached the owner Mike about the issue he was abusive and tried to blame everyone except his own workers. He actually said, "I am tired of people trying to blame us for problems with their pool." Well if customers keep saying that maybe your company is the problem. He never came out to look at the damage he just went straight to blaming others. This is our first pool and we had no idea that the first few days after the plaster is the most crucial and would need constant scrubbing and cleaning but we didn't see his workers doing anything for the first week. They never did any scrubbing or cleaning during the startup process. The plaster now has a permanent scaling issue that can only be fixed by a re-plaster. Stay away from Always Blue Pools. The owner is unprofessional, rude, and will curse you out if you question him. read more

Company has always been very responsive to our pool needs. We had a internet issue with our Pentair System... our guy stayed w me while talking to representatives and helped fix the issue!! read more

The owner of this business is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. His employees are just like him. If you wanted to be yelled at and talked down to then ya I recommend this guy. His guys don't know what they're doing and are rude too. read more

This place is really bad. The representative, Lou, is a really nice guy. But his manager is horrible. He doesn't know how to talk to his customers properly. They overcharge and try to be smart with us. We couldn't swim for a whole week because of them. Do not come here. Anyone else is better than these folks. -- Update: We had another Pool Company give us an estimate and they had done some horrible things to our pool. They put too many chlorine tablets into our pool, approximately 5 tablets, we had no PH at all in the pool and the lady said the pool was horribly cloudy. This was all because we decided to quit services with them. Do not use this company. read more

While their service person is pleasant their is no concern our pool continues to get worse including the white plaster is brown and now green in spots. We asked them to attempt to address the staining on the plaster and they whitened random spots. So there are polka dots of clean surrounded by dirty walls and mostly dirty bottom. They care about your money, but not about what the pool looks like. An update 1 week after stopping use of Always Blue, they never checked the Calcium and the levels were supposed to be 200 to 400 and our pool level was over 1,000. I drained and rehabbed the pool without Always Blue and the pool now looks good as new. read more

Always Blue Pools - We paid Always Blue lots of money not to care for our pool. The Hardness was way off. - Swimming Pools Near Me - Bakersfield, California

This place is the worst. Save your money. The rep that comes to clean my pool is awesome. He comes out here and gets the job done. As for his manager Mike, that's a whole different story. I called to find out what was going on with my pump and was told when he comes out on Tuesday, he'll let me know. Well, Tuesday comes around and I get no call. I call and Mike says I know exactly what's wrong with it...YOUR KIDS are touching things they have no business touching. I instantly stop him in his tracks and get off the phone. He is so rude. I'm not a child nor will I be talked to like I'm one. I then send him a message letting him know that I am officially cancelling services with them because of how he spoke to me. I don't know how he treats men, but from what I see he is terrible with women. read more

We had to use Always Blue Pools because we used are home warranty for this claim. Our pool was discolored and the jacuzzi as draining randomly. Got a guy out relatively quick and they changed a valve out. We were on vacation for two weeks. During that time our daughter said the pool was getting greener and the Jacuzzi was still draining again. We called him back as soon as we returned and our pool looked like a swamp. He was not at all concerned and told us he could not come that day, but the next day. My husband than called him back and the owner still would not come out that day in fact was completely rude and unprofessional on the phone. Of course he had been paid and could careless at this point. Come to find out he put the valve together wrong somehow and that caused it to continue not to work. The pool looked like a green messy swamp after two weeks of no vacuum or water circulation. We had to have another company "Cool Pools" fix it and they were great. Came back twice and were extremely helpful and professional. I do not know how you stay in business when you treat customers like they are inconveniencing you and you could care less about your service or workmanship or the way you talk to them. I would never recommend this company Alway Blue Pools. read more

I was recommended this people by a friend. Mike gave me a good price on my pool and jacuzzi. They came out once last week and looked at everything and gives me this agreement to look at and sign and they would come back in a couple days to pick it up. Then I get an email stating that some parts needed to be replaced such as a knob on the bottom of the basket and the basket was cracked. He then told me that the guys came (the next day even though I was told a few days to get the agreement and I wasnt home). Come this Tuesday, I noticed my pool wasnt cleaned. I sent an email asking if the guys had came or if they were coming that day so I can give them agreement. I get an email back stating no that they pulled back because they had not received the agreement and because I did not give him an answer on the parts. I responded that they told they would be back in a few days to get the agreement and instead they come the next the day and I was not home. Not my fault! they told me a couple of days. and the parts those or minor right now not to worried about those right now. He never responded to my email, so I called him twice and each time he forwarded my calls to his voicemail. I finally called him a 3rd time and told him I was upset that I was trying to give the guys the agreement yesterday but they never showed up nor did anyone call to state that they were not coming out. Mike started to get upset because I basically told him that someone should have called and that the parts were something minor right now. He then just told me to find a new pool person. read more

I've had service with this company for about a year (too long) and it is completely not worth my money. When we first signed with them, they were great with my dogs and they did wonders to my pool. But as time went by, our pool became dirtier and dirtier. Most recently they haven't even been coming to their weekly servicing, yet still draft the money from my account. It's been nearly 3 weeks since theyve been to clean the pool. At that, if ANY holiday falls on the day they are supposed to service your pool, they do not make up that appointment but still charge you for a service. Ridiculous! They also had the nerve to tell me that the reason my pool is dirty is because of my dog..... my dogs dont get in it. Going to cancel and service my own pool. Not worth the $110 they charge me. read more

So long story short we built our pool about 2.5 years ago and I firmly believe the company that started the pool off and then maintained it started it off very poorly. Never had they checked for Cyanaric Acid. Well fast forward 2 years and my CYA levels are through the roof. The pool company assured they would fix it take care of it months later never got better. They ended up blaming me for adding shock to pool which I never did in the years I had pool. I let them go and hired Always Blue Pools told them of problems and they began to take care of my pool. They did a drain on my pool and serviced it completely. After the drain there was a weird streak in the plaster which boggled all of us. They brought out the owner of the plaster company and came up with a treatment plan. Always Blue pools took the streak out of the plaster. They have done an excellent job at making my pool safe and beautiful again. The guys really do go out of their way to ensure that the pool is well taken care of. I am appreciative that my pool looks fantastic again. Mike the owner of the company takes overwhelming pride in his work and ensures that his employees do the same. There was even a time where Mike came out on a weekend during his family time to fix an issue I was having with my jacuzzi heater. If you are patient with them when there is a problem and communicate clearly to them what the issues are they are a fantastic company to work with. read more

Unprofessional and extremely rude when speaking to customers. I called to ask why my pool has been green for a month and he just gave me so many excuses saying it's our fault. He's cussing during our phone conversation and ended the call by hanging up the phone on my face. He barely let me speak! Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone! Worst service! They don't even deserve that one star! Extremely disrespectful!! read more

Well they have been at my house a few times for different warranty claims and every time they were great!! They exclaimed everything since I am a new pool owner with little knowledge. Love working with local businesses. Great guy Mike always there answering the phone when I was in a bind. His two sons were great doing all my pool repairs. Thanks for all your help and warranty claims. Will definitely use after warranty ends. Keeping it always blue pool!! read more
