My Husband is in memory care 2-N. There are no daily activities as described at all. Basically…read moreresidents wander all day long. But the ADL'a and daily patient care has really become neglectful and cruel. Patients are NOT monitored at all. 3 times in 10 days ive found the same lady sound asleep in my husbands bed and has totally soaked it with urine. This is unacceptable and I'm totally at the end of my rope!! The staff sit in the dining room all day and I'm told they don't do "room checks" (which is required with patients I'm told by the state) but they do "hall checis". Truthfully they do no checks. The rooms are rarely cleaned patients groomed. I will not stop fighting this!! This guy place would fail a state inspection. They just truly, from the "top" down do not care!! I have been constantly upset and in knots knowing his here!

And we picked this place because it looked ok. But we have always had a fear of these places. And this is why. So on that note. My dad now needs full care. With eatting going on a bed pan with poop rolling over on the bed all of it. When the nurse came with his food. He said he needed help. She just said i dont have time and left him. He put his call light on. And waited for hours to go poop. He hads meds that he has to take. And guess what. He missed them. No one came. He asked to be rolled on his back. And no one helped him for hours. When we finally got back to see him. I got ahold of the head nurse. And guess what she had no idea what was going on. So not even her does what she was supposed to do. I asked how would feel if this happened to your family. A lot of the patients there have no one speak up for them.

The building director is not a trained social worker or case manager. She makes threats that are illegal. She doesnt know landlord tenant tenant law. A lot of staff turnover. There is a crew of 5 ladies that practilly run the place. Making decisions that effect all the residents. The manager does have a monthly meeting with residents where residents can speak freely. The hot water took an incredible amount of time to get to my room and sometimes not at all. I didnt always do my part I am disabled with a spinal cord injury. I had to hire outside help to try to meet her "Mind,Body,Spirit" expectations. She told me repeatedly when I told her I could NOT do everytthing physically she expected even brought her notes from my doctot but she consistently said. YOU CAN DO IT YOU JUST ARENT TRYING. Very unfair. I could continue but you have enough to understand. If you arent perfect or cant be part of "The Click" I wouldnt consider going there.

Besides the view, other pluses are staff with an open door policy (they do listen). Also, three tasty meals are served daily (I'm partial to their fried chicken.) It's independent living, so you take care of yourself medically. But you're never alone; there's always someone with whom to share the good- and not so good- parts of growing older. In all, Skyline Village is a fun place to live!
