I was given a phone call by the practice letting me know I wouldn't be able to see him anymore but that I could see the nurse, who was only available on the two days of the week that I am unavailable. So I requested a refill on my medication until a time when I could potentially schedule with a new practitioner or over Thanksgiving Break when I would be able to come in and see the nurse since there would be no class. I never heard back. The practice called me back 4 weeks later with the same information, apparently having forgotten about our first conversation. They said they would not refill my medication and that they would do nothing for me except let me see the nurse who still was only available the two days of the week I could not come in. I am very disappointed in how things were handled by this practice and the lack of notice concerning their patients. I would not recommend using this practice.

I had suffered a wrist injury that left me unable to properly use my hand for months, which affected my ability to work and led me to experience depression for the first time in my life. I had never gone to therapy before and was genuinely looking for help and support. Unfortunately, the experience did not match what I expected. My first session lasted around 30 minutes due to a time zone scheduling issue, yet I was still charged about $100 for that visit. The second session also did not provide much meaningful guidance, and overall it felt like I paid a significant amount of money just to have very basic conversation without real support. After insurance processed the claims, I was charged nearly $150 in total. As someone who has been financially limited due to months of injury and reduced ability to work, seeing that money withdrawn from my account was extremely stressful. I reached out to explain my situation and ask if there was any flexibility or consideration given the circumstances, but the responses I received simply redirected me back to my insurance company without addressing the concerns about the experience itself. Seeking help for mental health should not leave someone feeling financially stressed and unheard. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.

What has already been said is true: "Dr. Ninon Germain is rude, condescending, dismissive, cold, unsympathetic, aloof, unapproachable, distant, and sometimes, comes across as a narcissistic personality. She speaks very quickly and often spends the majority of the visit on (staring at) her computer, instead of being PRESENT with the patient. Theresa Pesceck had me put on bipolar and schizophrenia medication when I had only went to her for…read moredepression, she put me on 3 different medications with heavy dosages which gave me severe anger outbursts and brain fog, it worsened my already severe learning disability and made me gain over 30lbs while on it. She tried convincing me into taking Lamotrigine, depakote, zyprexa, risperdal but I never went on it and when I told her the medications I was taking were making it worse she did not discuss decreasing the dose but instead put me on a third medication at the age of 16! She prescribed me lithium carbonate and while I was on it she never referred me to get my lithium levels checked the whole year I was forced on these toxins! I also asked Theresa a million times for a referral for disability services or therapy and she NEVER ONCE OBLIGED, the last few times I was forced to see her she was over 35-40 minutes late, her excuse? "Another patient needed more time." 18 times in a row. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY WILL MISHANDLE MEDICATIONS AND CAUSE YOU SEVERE HEALTH PROBLEMS WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD BECAUSE ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY.

I can't give 5 stars because I am still waiting to hear back from them on starting the play therapy for my kiddos. Taking sides in a divorce is not the role of a counselor and this behavior will hopefully result in disciplinary action from the state licensing board.

I attended this program from the end of 2016 untill the beginning of 2018. I attended for about a…read moreperiod of 16 or 18 months in total as I recall. Had monitored UAs through out. They never trusted me enough to stop monitoring me like they did with other clients. They said people with legal issues had that because courts often required it. I had no legal obligations to be at this center and was there completely voluntarily and therefore had no requirement to be monitored at all. But I wanted to keep attending so I let them monitor me throughout my entire stay there. So even with over a year and a half consecutive confirmed clean time- They denied me emdr therapy, time and time again while I saw my peers participating in that treatment and getting better. I was denied of it. Other people were considered stable and able to receive that therapy with as little as 60 days clean at times. The reasoning ashwood counselors gave me for why I was denied the therapy I needed to get better was that I was "unstable" for 2 reasons. 1- because I was stuck on step 3 in the 12 step based program because I hadn't been able to turn my will and my life over to something I was still desperately trying to gain understanding of. And 2- because my live in boyfriend smoked weed. Even though I had 18 months clean and was willing to continue staying clean despite my boyfriends choices. They made it clear as long as I stayed with him , I would be considered unstable , high risk for relapse, and wouldn't be allowed participate in the necessary therapy sessions I so desperately needed to heal from my past trauma. So unless your willing to turn your entire lives and your wills and dignity over to ashwood , I wouldn't attend here. I'd look someplace else guys. To be fair , I'd say they helped a lot of people. But only the clients they took a liking too. If you were someone different that didn't fit the profile they liked, you might be denied therapy and mistreated like I was.
