We all dread having a root canal, eh? Well, dread no more! Liz (the dental assistant), Jared (the intern) and Dr. Mardsen were fantastic, and took great pains to make sure that I felt no pain. Even the numbing injections were painless. It was just amazing! My tooth gave them some difficulty, as it already had a crown that had to be drilled, and three roots to be cleaned out. The crown was done 11 years ago, and calcium had built up underneath, so that made it difficult to find the root canals. But they proceeded slowly and conservatively so that the tooth wouldn't loose any more structure than necessary so that it would remain strong. I also saw some new (to me) technology in use , like the ohmmeter used to detect root canal length. The procedure took a long time, due to the abundance of caution, and after awhile I was regaining some feeling, and I got another painless injection into the jaw. Jared and Dr Mardsen were really good at keeping me informed during the procedure. For me it was actually fun because I learned so much! I am writing this review the day after, and I have no pain at all. And now I don't have to be careful when drinking a cold beverage! This team is obviously dedicated to patient comfort and work together to give the best possible outcome.

I would definitely recommend him to anyone who truly wants what is in the best interest of their child, even if that means not getting the recommendations they were hoping for.I believe anyone who doesn't get what they want out of their case will give a bad review. I find Dr. Book cares about the children in every case. He is not biased. He is careful and very professional and takes in all information before he makes a decision on what to present to a judge. Very good to deal with. Loves his career and has a passion to help. That is truly noticeable

This has been well over 2 weeks ago and my mom's Primary Doctor has stilled not received the report from Dr. Book. We are wanting to move forward with treatment, but cannot. When I called and spoke with the secretary at Dr. Books office, she said he still has not transcribed the report.....so what????? We are just suppose to wait until he gets around to it???? Not professional. I do not recommend this DR.
