The gang!

I have to say I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews but most of the reviews were good. So I decided to book the 1 tour, it was 4 of us. We were a little late and the last tour. Everyone was nice and accommodating. Tiny our tour guide was an actual gentle giant. He made sure we were safe, stayed together, got dirty and had a great time!!!! This was our 1st experience and basted off this experience IM READY TO GO AGAIN! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO! My advice just follow there directions and take video of your ATV before and after.

WE had fun here. It is a closed course which I did not expect. For the 1st 10 minutes our guide drove around and around the track. Finally he took us to more of the challenging and fun areas. It can be VERY muddy. So be prepared to get dirty. The ATV was pretty beat up and had a lot of prior use the power was weak. A fun way to spend a few hours.

Returned again during the fall season for some more fun ATV riding. It was super muddy and just a blast. This time, we came prepared and wrapped our legs in plastic bags so we weren't a complete mess by the time we finished. We also were lucky enough to have Diane do our tour again. This makes the perfect outdoor activity or experience gift.

What a fun family adventure! Janice took our deposit and she was friendly and helpful. It's more like $95 a person and $35 for ride along which we needed for our 7 year old. When we got there, we signed waivers & consents. Our guide, Dianne, explained the atv's which were automatic& pretty simple to use. Forward, reverse, throttle & break. I thought an hour sounded too short but it was the perfect amount of time! We had a great time going through all the muddy tracks& the forests. It really felt like we were riding in a jungle somewhere. Be prepared to get DIRTY!!! But so worth it!! We had such a great time and will definitely be back again!!!!

Boots rented at the place made it a cleaner experience :) :)

Me and my family had a great time celebrating my mom's birthday, being the first time for everyone to ride one of these bikes let me tell you it was a blast! Our reservation was at 11 AM but They ask you to be there 30 minutes before for the introduction, sadly we made it there at 11 o'clock and our tour only lasted about 40 minutes instead of an hour so make sure you are there on time. We were not planning on doing ATVs so we didn't have the appropriate clothes and shoes but fortunately they do rent anything you need for affordable prices. I highly recommend this ATV rental.

Had the pleasure of atving with my family this past week and boy, was that an experience. It was my first time and definitely one for the books. It was fun while scary all in one. The registration lady was very nice and our tour guide was super cool. You get dirty with dust and mud but it all makes for a great time and picture! Definitely worth it!

We booked for a party of 3, and had a great time. Check in was ok, I suggest getting there about a half hour earlier than your ride time, as it gets hectic if other groups are checking in also. Ride itself was fantastic, guide was fun and kept an eye out for everyone. Trail was great for beginners, as well as intermediate riders. Tour guide allowed a slower pace for first few minutes for my son to get accommodated, as it was his first time, then picked up the pace. Stopped near the end and took seperate groups photos for all that were in the tour. A fun time had by all......we will be back..

Looking for fun? Look no further ! I had so much fun that I'm trying to put together a group trip to come down this summer so we can all get MUDDY AF I came down to PA for a weekend getaway with the boyfriend and decided to do something that we've both never done before. From the minute that I called them to inquire about their services and prices they were superb. The staff was amazing. (This review is two months overdue so I can't remember names for shit) But when we got there, everyone was super friendly. I think they could tell that we were a little nervous because everyone was joking around. It's was just good vibes all around. They answered all our questions. Were helpful with choosing the correct helmets especially for my big ass head. Honestly, they even gave us gloves free of charge because it was super cold that day. The staff was knowledgeable and it was just everything you needed to feel comfortable doing something you've never done before. When I arrived at the location, I wasn't really impressed. It just looked like flat land but boy was I wrong! The trail was fun. Our guide pretty much let us control the speed of the trail and we didn't get bored or slowed down. There was a couple of oopsies! But he was great, helped us out when we got stuck and checked in to make sure we were ok. The trails were really enjoyable to me. Had bumps and humps and sharp turns and everything one could need. I definitely recommend! Thanks guys !

Ask the Community - Alvins Offroad Playground

Do we need driver license for this?

You have to bring your license and fill the information out on their paperwork in order to ride your own.

Was anyone asked to give their car keys (or anything else) as collateral for damage to an ATV?

No, you sign a waiver accepting responsibility for damages. They inspect the ATVs before you ride and after, keeping track of everything on the machine so they know if there's any new damage from your ride.

First part is a nice little course, after that you have the option to switch drivers. Then it's a pit area. Pay attention to the weather so you could dress accordingly. It rained for 2 days straight before we came here so we knew it was gonna be muddy. We were SOAKED by the end of it. We had water coming out of our shoes. It was awesome! Would totally recommend. They give you a briefing before your trip. I felt like it was totally reasonable rules, I drove myself at one point and really didn't find myself wanting to do what they advise against. You can save time by booking online, you need to arrive early for a waiver sign off and possible helmet fittings. I booked a two-seater UTV for my SO's birthday and we had a blast. The cars are new and have better tech functions, especially with being able to connect to your own music via Bluetooth to have even more fun. We had a tour guide for our small group and off we went, racing through a course and flying through water. We were absolutely filthy by the end, so be prepared. We came with our own gloves, which helped make the driving experience more comfortable. I would highly suggest getting some sort of face covering so you do not end up with a mouthful of mud. They do not have bathrooms on site, but a hose station to do some maintenance and portable toilets. We're looking forward to trying out a snowmobile option in the months ahead.

I came into this thinking it would be a walk in the park...boy, was I wrong…read more Due to the recent snow and rain, 90% of the trail was muddy and wet which made for some hardcore ATV riding. Because of these heavy-duty full-size ATVs running over the same path over again & again, the muddy parts were at least 1-2 feet deep making for an extremely treacherous and bumpy ride that will jolt every bone in your body. Since I am light weight, half the time my tush was off the seat. I saw the middle guide stand up on his ATV when the bumpy parts came up so I followed suit. It helped but you have to hold onto your gears for dear life or else. Our ride consisted of 10 people and three guides. One guide leading the way, one in the middle and one at the end. If one rider gets themselves in a pickle, the guides will throw a hand signal for all of us to stop. Please pay attention during training to the instructions. It is important since it involves everyone's safety. I didn't think we would go so fast given that there were so many of us following one behind the other but we were going at a fast speed which made it exciting. Keep your eyes straight ahead and keep one ATV space between you and the one in the front. Stay alert at all times because the terrain will change on you within seconds. Tight turns were my favorite parts. There is a break in the middle of the ride for you to enjoy the scenery and take some pics and rest. The second part of the ride consists of going uphill and downhill. Propel harder to move uphill & brake going downhill if you have to. At the end of it all, you will get "Mud in Your Face" and all over your clothes and shoes. I spent an extra $5 for some plastic shoe coverings. Money well spent. Because I wore shorts, I had mud caked onto my legs. The people here are friendly but they are a bit like drill sergeants. Just pay attention and listen to them carefully.

A lot of people liked Pocono ATV so we chose them. But, like a lot of reviews said, the group is going to stay single file, most of your trip is under or about 10mph, and really this is for those who are beginner or moderate or timid drivers. My kid was one of the timid drivers who was in the front of the line and at the halfway stop point was pulled out and got to ride on her own with another guide so she was able to do her thing. Another member of the group specifically asked about the speed with the leader and he shrugged his shoulders explaining that this is how they run their show and if everyone was at a higher level, then they may have been able to do more at a higher speed. The maximum speed we got to for a very short distance was +/- 20mph. You know these machines are capable of much more and a lot of us were just wanting to rip! You do have to show some competency beforehand so you can go out in line, and my kid's girlfriend decided she did not want to drive and instead be a passenger. We were refunded the difference at the end, though. I did purchase the $5 (cash only) shoe coverings but for today really did not need them. The trails were more than ready for the ATVs and not wide enough in most places to even think about passing. A lot of rocky terrain and tree roots and just a little bit of mud left over from some rain. There was a quick review about the gas and brake beforehand and if you violate anything safety-wise that was explained, you're done for the day. The vehicles appeared to be newer Polaris ones and they had at least two which could hold two people. Everyone was required to wear helmets. Our guide also said that someone hit a tree recently and cost them an additional $900 for the damage. Based on the trails and trees, I'd say he was probably giving accurate information. About $95 each for the hour or so rides. As I said before, this would be more for the beginner or intermediate or timid riders who want an experience in riding /driving ATVs. It was nothing like our trip to Utah where we were given a map and told "see ya in a few hours." Still, a fun trip through the woods.

Ideally, you hook up your phone to the car via USB/Bluetooth or of course you can fly blind and go where you want as long as you're back by the end of the rental period. With that said, we loaded up the State Park Ride and kid you not, the first stop out of the nine takes you nowhere. You come to a small stone road that is chained off with nothing there except a small admin. building for the state forestry service. After that brief hiccup, we mostly followed the rest and had a decent experience particularly at Big Pocono State Park and Promised Land State Park. At the end you do need to return the vehicle with a full tank and yes, they want you to only use premium. For a sense of scope, we did the eight-hour rental and drove I forget how many miles and it cost about $17 to refill the tank before we returned the car. Overall, this is a hell of a lot of fun. I mean sure there are a few quirks as in the automatic car we used downshifted fairly rough and when idling at times you can definitely pick up the exhaust fumes from the engine, but that stuff is very minor and there is really nothing to do here except have fun and explore.

As for me- i told my friend about this place so she can go with her peeps to have a good time since she always says i know all the spots. Lol i do tho. Sometimes . Well, i also was not expecting her to invite me so when she asked, what ya think I responded?! Lol. Hellll yeah we outtt !!! The day before we was panicking because the weather was saying Severe Thunderstorm and high winds. She calls me like " you think they still on?" I told her i will give them a call in the morning but, that night something told me to check my emails- so i did. Remember when i said we was panicking the night before?! Well if i would've checked my emails to begin with all that worrying would've went out the door. Any who, This place is so legit and i love them because they were on top of it sending me so many emails the night before letting me know that in the morning they will send another email to confirm if it was a go. God is Great All the timee !!! So let me just stop to tell ya something quickly. I wasn't having the best week and was extremely looking forward to this day. So u can only imagine how frustrated i was when i saw thunderstorm and that they were going to cancel it. The next morning comes and i quickly wake up in sadness, until i opened my emails and saw " WE ARE STILL ON " i said no wayyy wait- so i quickly open the weather app and see is suppose to be sunny all morning and half of the afternoon the rain was going to happen but it was going to start after 5. which was awesome because our session was from 3-5 soooo, You know what i was thinking- its party time. Since we had to be there by 3:30 we left around 240ish, ONLY because we was already at the end of the GWB- which means when we get on we dont have to go through traffic because we're literally right there at the end & starting point into making it to Jersey. If you coming from deep I suggest leaving a little bit earlier because they are strict with timing. Only to be fair to the ones who got there early. They suggest you arrive 15 mins before your session, but ill get into that in a second. When we finally get there, WE WERE LOST! You go inside this big empty parking lookin space ( i guess ) i cant really remember and wish i took pictures but being that we were lost my focus was on trying to find the place before our time was up. Finally some nice lady asks us " ARE YA LOOKING FOR THE ATVS?" We said " yeah " she then directed us but as we driving we feel like we about to get kidnapped or some shit aboutta go down because it was nothing but land. We finally get to a ticket booth and we skeptical about passing it we from NY so we dont trust too much i tell my friend like girl pull up so i can ask her ass because we're not going to stand here looking stupid. Thankfully we did though because we had to pass through her to get to the place . Lord just when u think is the finale lmao we get lost again because like i said is only land and now we at a spot where many cars are parked we driving and driving until another lady goes " ARE YA LOOKING FOR THE ATVS " we like " yeah " she then directs us and BOOOOOOM !!!! What ya think happend ? We FINALLY EFFIN FOUND IT ! Finally, we are in motion getting excited because all the ATV are out and we like is about to go down. They asked us our names and then gave us a helmet and a headwrap u can say. She let me keep on my glasses ans gave my friend goggles. I was hype she let me keep my glasses on. Once everyone had their gears ready she told everyone to step to the ATV on the side. She briefly went over how the ATV works and the Dos and Donts. After that we headed on to pick which ATV we wanted which is only trying to pick out which is the cleanest but none of them are lol. The color ones are for the little kids. YES THEY ARE ALL DIRTY SO DONT WEAR YOUR BEST CLOTHES. I RECOMMEND WEARING LONG PANTS AND SHIRT BECAUSE IT WILL OR CAN GET MESSY. LOTS OF DIRT AND MUD PUDDLES. THEY WILL TAKE YOU THROUGH EVERYTHING. I ALSO RECOMMEND BRINGING EXTRA CLOTHES FOR THE AFTERMATH BECAUSE GETTING IN YOUR CAR ALL MUDDY AND DIRTY- well i dont think u would like it very much. To finally end this long essay of review i be doing, i give this place a 10/10. All of their staff and instructors were amazing and had alot of patience for the beginners crew. Trust me patience is the word because my friend almost landed in the hospital twice she damn near hit a tree and almost went down a hill shes good tho and took control of it after all. I would say this if anybody goes, especially females, you control the 4wheeler don't let it control you. You gotta use all your body force to turn or to do little tricks. Its so much fun tho, extremely tiring after all the fun. I hope you guys enjoyed my essay.

We spent 15 mins of our ride time learning how to operate and do basic things like go between cones and break. Important, yes, but that should be in addition to the 1-hour ride time. We stopped with 10-min left to take pics which was nice, but again, it cut into actual ride time. The course itself was fun, but it was limited and repetitive. There was no opportunity to really open up the atv's and go fast. For $75 pp, it would be worth it. But at the current prices, the info session and practice should be included, maybe 90 mins per session at current pricing to make it worthwhile. Super dusty (October 19th ride). It may be more fun when it's not so warm so the ground is more solid and muddy. Plan to be completely covered in dirt. The staff were very friendly, which was great, but it wasn't worth the cost imo.
