Don't see Dr. Ali Fahham, I took my son there and he said my son had 14 cavities..he said if he didn't get them fixed now he would need root canal..I took him to another dentist for 2nd opinion,he didn't have ANY CAVITIES!!!!. I had an appointment scheduled for a regular check up and I didn't receive a confirmation so I tried to call twice to change my appointment time because I had a medical emergency that morning and had to go elsewhere, now I understand it was within 24hrs of my actual appointment when I booked it but messaging me and telling me you're gonna charge me if I miss my appointment when you haven't even confirmed it is very frustrating and I booked it while the office was still open. I was able to change my time and still went in that day. The doc was very kind to the woman in the room next to me and he was informative to her. When he got to me one of the first things he said was along the lines of "you like to cancel appointments now don't you" and that caught me off guard because you have to put a lot of trust in someone who is using sharp instruments in your mouth. He claimed I wasn't flossing and that's why I was bleeding a lot, didn't apologize once while cutting into my gums, I do floss, daily. His demeanor was rude and cold towards me along side the fact that I had a trainee nurse (she did great but suctioned the bottom of my tongue on accident a couple times which caused me to jolt a bit) to which he responded as though it was my fault. I'm not going back. I don't feel safe or comfortable with this dentist office and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. When I got home my gums were still bleeding and I had pieces of my gums that were literally cut into. It's been a few weeks but I thought I should put this out there. Very pleased, from the moment you walk in the receptionist are very welcoming. Lupe did a great job going over my treatment plan and what my insurance covers. Dr. Fahham was great as well, very thorough in explaining my treatment and made sure I understood why I needed it. I felt very comfortable and at ease, his little side jokes helped calm my nerves. Maria his assistant was very nice as well, we all know X-rays are annoying and uncomfortable, but surprisingly they didn't hurt at all! Will be definitely coming back! read more

My appointment 9 December 2022 @ 10am with Dr Brian Parks. Arrived at 9:30 am. 25 minute wait to see dentist after in patient facility. No blood pressure taken, very disrespectful assistant who knew I had difficulty hearing or sitting but would not answer my simple questions? I had to beg her to raise the chair from the midget position so that I might be able to sit down in preparation for my cleaning. ( I am handicapped and have great difficulty sitting in lower positions). Cleaning fast and furious but first time ever NO polishing of teeth. My wife same experience too (Identical) fast NO polishing. My partial (Purchased 20 months prior (1400$) had broken tooth. Mr Parks refused to send off for repair until I had a cavity looked after! I asked the correlation which wss none, but offered to pay for partial repair but NO service from Dr Parks on partial? instead he offered dental referrals? Made NO sense to me! Never again for such cruel treatment as a patient. Brian Parks should have his license pulled/canceled immediately for shabby job of cleaning and refusal to support other work by other doctors working at the same facility in Alvin. A must read before you schedule your appointment: If I could give less than 1 star - I would. I had an appointment on Friday July 28, 2023, at 3 pm and the appointment was confirmed from Alvin Smiles on Tuesday July 25, 2025, which is the last time I received a text or heard from this dentist office. My husband had an appointment at 1200 noon the same day, they cancelled his appointment and rescheduled it stating the dentist was sick. So here is the question, was the dentist sick or did something else come up at 1200 noon? I did not receive a cancellation request via text, email or a phone call, so since I had taken 3 hours of PTO to attend my first dental appointment at this clinic, I arrived at 2:40 pm to find the Alvin Smiles dental office doors were locked! Unbelievable, Alvin Smiles cost me 3 hours of PTO! Then Friday evening at 7:48 pm, I received an email from Alvin Smiles campaigns@campaigns.nexthealth.com stating "Looks like you canceled your appointment that was originally scheduled for today and never rescheduled." "Your health is important, so please schedule another time for your care below" and there was a blue "Book your appointment" link listed below. I believe I will "opt-out from all future email communications", which was an option at the bottom of the email. ...and no, I did not cancel my appointment, that was false. So be warned and my husband and I have now made our dental appointments elsewhere! Extremely poor customer service, if they cancel, they can apparently do so the same they, but their policy states a patient must provide a 48-hour cancellation notice! If they are cancelling appointment the clinic should contact all their patients! read more

I just walked in there. also this whole strip has power. what horrible people. it's a dental emergency. I was a walk in a couple months ago. I had a broken tooth and the filling had come off. Dr Park saw me right away, formulated a plan that would save the tooth and result in the best options for my circumstances. Dr Park was very thorough and kept me very comfortable during the root canal portion. The assistants are super helpful, caring and attentive. I was lucky to find Alvin Smiles, I would highly recommend them to anyone needing dental work. Dr Park is very personable, informative and caring. I am very disappointed with the way this place treated me. I am patient when it comes to wait times but to see the disrespect of my valuable time be wasted was a done deal for me. My appointment was looked over by all staff. They called in several patients who walked in well over my appointment time before calling me back. I waited a hour and Walked out furious because it was about to be closing time and I don't want anyone rushing on me because they are ready to go home. This was my second time at this dental office and this time was awful. I do not recommend this place because of the wait time, inconvenience of the staff and the rudeness of when the front staff asks why are they not calling in order. Just an unbelievable visit that cost them a customer. I will not ever return to this place. read more

Everyone was very nice and polite to me. They explained everything that they were going to do before and as they went along. I have a very low gag reflex and they are very patient and understanding with me. I have always been nervous when I have to go to the dentist but not when I go to Alvin Smiles! read more

This dental office is a life saver I'm a full time student and needed my wisdom teeth taken out. I did 2 at one time and the surgeon was nice enough to come in and do it during spring break. I have to have the other one taken and and again they made sure to fit me in before school starts. And they made sure I was comfortable. I have seen the regular dentist on staff becuase i was having some pain in the wisdom tooth that was left he saw me quickly and listen to what was wrong prescribed medication explained why I got an abscess. read more
