I had sent an email request for a quote and received a response (call & email) right away with instructions on how to take measurements on the area I wanted to cover with an awning. Ana was extremely helpful over the phone and really professional and friendly. It happen to be that they had an opening the day after I received the quote and I was able to schedule the work right away. Juan Carlos came that same afternoon of the quote and took the exact measurements and he was also knowledgable and friendly. The next morning the workers arrived and got the job done within hours. They also picked up after themselves and left the area spotless. I highly recommend Alumicenter! BTW, great pricing. Received other quotes which were almost a $1000.00 more. Contacted them to get a quote to replace aluminum awning. They asked us to send pictures and said they would get back to us. We sent pictures. Waited 2 weeks. No return call. So we called again. We were told that they were "so busy" they hadn't had time to get back to us, but they would eventually. It's now been a few months. We never heard from them. You're busy? I'm happy for you. Toward the end of May 2012, I contacted Alumicenter via their website to inquire on the price of an Aluminum porch. I already knew the dimensions based on quotes from several other contractors who visited my home. An employee of the company contacted me the same day and we setup an appointment for someone to come out and see the property. I had to re-schedule the first meeting due to some circumstances out of my control. The company changed the meeting for the following week. The representative that came over to my home was Juan Cohen. Juan is the owner of Alumicenter. He arrived on-time and was prepared to take measurements of the area. Juan took notes of the area and measured it. He told me that I will have an emailed quote sent to me later that night. This is perfect as I am 100% attached to my iphone and email works best to communicate with me. As promised, the quote arrived later that night. I was pleasantly surprised to see that he had sent two quotes. One for the roofing I wanted and another for the screened-in version. My wife and I had wanted to do the screen but didn t ask Juan because the other contractors were pricing it outside of our price range. To our delight, Juan s screened-in quote was not as high as the others. Matter of fact, it was towards the top of our spending budget whereas all others were nearly $500 - $700 over our budget. We decided to go with the screened enclosure! Juan submitted all the paperwork to the city for permitting. Since I live in a gated, Lennar community, I had to get my HOA s approval. Juan provided all the forms and Miami-Dade Approvals I needed to include an architectural rendering of the porch. It was approved with no issues because all the paperwork was complete and thorough. The permit was issued and the inspection of the foundation passed with no issues. This gave way to concrete pouring and actual structure build. I was expecting to find a construction site once I arrived home. However, Juan and his people cleaned up after themselves and ensured that they did not damage the vegetation nor destroy my grass. You could hardly tell that a crew had been working there. It was excellent! The concrete guys showed up 15 mins EARLY! This is great! They went right to work and my foundation was poured in less than 2 hours. The concrete took three days to hardened. Once that was hardened, Juan began to work on the construction of the enclosure. Juan and his crew took two days to build the enclosure. They always arrive on time or earlier and went straight to work. No cafesito breaks! It was truly a pleasure seeing quality work being done by a contractor. The crew was proficient in their task and you can tell that this wasn t their first time doing it. The quality of the build was superb and the materials were new and definitely not old stock. After the work was done, Juan came over and walked me through the construction of the enclosure. He climbed ladders with me to show me the roof and show me how it was waterproof. He should me little extras that he incorporated to make the structure stronger. The bolts he used were higher grade and tensile strength than those required by the plans. I appreciated this! Overall, the enclosure looks fantastic! I am a perfectionist and I looked at every single nook and cranny looking for defects or oddities. I couldn t find any.. Juan has excellent customer service skills and superb construction experience. He answers all emails immediately! ((I emailed him over 40 times, yes, I am a perfectionist and look at the details!)) I called to get a quote. The girl that picked up the phone took my info and then asked about the city. She informed that the project manager doesn't like to work with the city of SUNRISE if it involved permits. Yes, i want a permit, I even have the engineer blue prints recently drawn. She told me that they work with their own engineer and if I wanted to go for it then fine, if not then i needed to forget about it. Literally. So 0 points for customer service or client retention. 2 stars for picking up the phone and to explain me that they can still do me the favor and work with me if I'm willing to deal with the city myself. I could've been a 5 star review (I guess we will never know), but I guess being a Sunrise resident it's not worthy of their business. read more

My wife found Alumicenter on the web and liked the reviews. She called them and they asked for a picture of the location and description of what we wanted. I sent the pictures and a top view/sketch of what we had in mind. They followed up with a quote, but since it was done based on pictures and the draft, we decided a meeting was needed. ... Good call... once we met, the options to achieve what we wanted began to sprout and Voila! They took a concept and made it reality. The permit process took a couple of months but that's on the city's shoulders. Once approved, work was fast, and professional. It looks great. I called to schedule an appointment for an estimate. My info was taken and I was called back a week letter with an assigned apt 3 weeks later and was not one of the optional days I gave. The guy showed up and did not even introduce himself. I walked him to the backyard. He took some pictures and measurements. He asked me 2 questions then said ok and started to leave. I had to ask him when I would receive the estimate. He said he would email it to me in 2-3 days. I then asked if he would like to take down my email address. The company took a while to even come out and give me an estimate, having to reschedule. Met with Juan and agreed to the services. Shortly after installation of the screen porch, I had issues with the door handle they installed. I contacted them with several voicemails and emails and even had conversations with them regarding the issue. What I was told was that they were "very busy" and would come out when they get a chance. After 2 or 3 times of hearing that and setting no-show dates, I simply gave up. What's interesting is how they keep customers waiting but wasted no time reaching me for the balance of money. As a property owner, I would not recommend this company, poor customer service and delivery of promises. read more

Not only was the price completely on point, but the crew leader (JC) was a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job of putting up what I believe is a fairly complicated structure. We were trying to get Juan Cohen of to come and give us an estimate for a screen enclosure for our house. After Juan Cohen not calling or not showing up for a scheduled appointment. We thought we would give him another chance (which was 4th cancellation) on the day of the appointment. One hour before the scheduled time he called this time just wanted to reschedule appointment again (changing it for the 5th and final time). The architect has given up his appointments all along to accommodate Mr. Juan Cohen. After a month it was time to say good bye to Juan Cohen and the company(ALUMICENTER). I usually like to review my vendors in an effort to provide feedback on my experience in the hopes that this will help others. Prior to awarding Alumicenter with my project I called three different contractors of which one I know personally and its not Alumicenter, for me to choose Alumicenter over somebody that was recommended by someone I have personal ties with was a small challenge , in the end I went with the one that listened to what I wanted and understood what I wanted. From the beginning all aspects of my project were handled professionally , from the first phone call to the last portion of our project was handle objectively and precise to plan. In my case a inground pool was being constructed when I approached Alumicenter for a quote on the removal of existing awning 40x12 and placement of a built to code Aluminum steel 40 x11 roof to be placed besides the pool, timing was important cause I wanted the roof to be in placed prior to pool deck so that the details of the poles would be hidden with the deck. Although there was an unexpected delay due to building code changes that took place at the same time we agree to move forward with project. In the end the completed job ended Fantastic, the on site workers have excellent work ethics , I mean even thought my backyard was a disaster and the area they had to work with was a disaster they nevertheless took the time to make sure to clear and clean the area they worked on prior to leaving the property, if this is not an example of excellent work ethics then I do not know what is. They visited the site several of times and it was the same every time. I recommend that when sitting with the Alumicenter rep , be sure to do your home work first and know exactly what you want and be sure to bring this desire to Alumicenter up front and be patience just because one or two times they may not immediately respond to your call it does not mean that they are not monitoring progress of your project, it happen to me a few times but at all times they were on target. read more

I called this place many times just to get transferred to a mailbox saying "i'm sorry but the mailbox is full you cannot leave a message at this time, try your call again later". I gave them another try and finally this ignorant lady picks up. I was trying to advised her of the mailbox situation since maybe she didn't know the business was getting affected by it and loose clients(money) as a result, when rapidly she cuts me off and asked me for my name and what is it that i wanted giving me an attitude. I told her that she wouldn't have my name on file since this was the first time someone had answer that i was trying to explain to her the phone situation since she might be interested on knowing what was happening with her business, then the unsuspected happened.. she started laughing at me(poor thing...so unprofessional)... lol can you believe that?!! i was in shock. Never in my life i have dealt with such unprofessional and low class people. I am so relieved i didn't do business with them, this was a sign of God. i am actually looking for a strong, reliable and professional company to redo my whole patio with new screen and structure, also my sister is interested on doing the same, i know because of the size and type of job this company lost at least $20,000.00 with us and potential future contracts just because of their ignorance and lack of professionalism. I tried to get a quotation from these people. I first sent a request through their website. A few hours later I go an auto email that someone would be contacting me shortly. I waited all day no one called. So the next day I called and had to go through a maze of computer messages to finally get to IVONNE C. who I sunbiz'ed to find out she is one of the owners. (Husband & Wife business). Right from the get go she has an attitude and can not remember my name and email address despite giving it to her 3 times. She kept putting me on hold explain that she couldn't find my request. (Remember they emailed back.). All the while getting angry with me because I'm getting irritated that all I want is to set up an appointment to get a quotation, and she can't remember my name. Despite that I already sent the measurement of my patio I want re-screened. She put me on hold for the 4th time to find my information for 8 minutes. The whole call took 25 minutes just to get an appointment. I finally hung up to find some who wants to do the job.
