Very untrustworthy. I would recommend that you stay away from that company. They would only reply to your first inquiry and then never get back to you. They delay their responses to maximize their opportunities, not realizing they are losing the customers' trust. A better alternative is National Corporate Housing. The Proctor Station unit in Tacoma is in a really cool little neighborhood, literally next door to a Saturday farmer's market and a bunch of great restaurants, also about two blocks from a Met Market and Safeway. It was a great deal compared with other corporate furnished apartments (under federal gov per diem). I really enjoyed having my own fridge, range, oven, dishwasher and in-unit washer/dryer. The staff was super helpful and responsive, and anytime I had an issue (changing my move-out date, replacing a malfunctioning garage remote) they resolved it very quickly. The only thing I'd say could be improved would be swapping out the bed and couch, as they are a little worn out. If the unit had a memory foam mattress e.g. the type you'd find in a comparably priced marriott residence inn, I'd give it five stars all day. Also note that, in case you're in Tacoma at an unseasonably warm time, there is no A/C at proctor station, just heating. This is common across the Seattle-Tacoma area, as you generally never need it. I was there mid May to Mid July and it was never a problem because (a) most days were overcast and cool and (b) the "hot" days were over and cooled down by the sea breeze by the time I got home from work. read more

My review is coming from a unique perspective in that I was a vendor who did business with ASI (and other corporate housing companies) for a couple of years rather than just being a client of theirs; I feel this angle provides me with a very in depth understanding as the degree to which they are committed to serving their customers. So impressed was I with their level of commitment to their clients' experience that I felt compelled to write a review endorsing them for their work. Simply put, they will go above and beyond any other corporate housing company in the area to make your stay, be it short term or long term, pleasurable. I've since moved to the other side of the country for work and have enlisted the help of a few corporate housing companies to assist with the transition. Now on the customer side of things and working with other providers I appreciate the superior service that ASI delivered back in Seattle even that much more! I just about drove myself crazy trying to find a nice, comfortable short-term rental on a government TQ rate. When you're planning on moving on short-notice, and you need something quickly, and you're not sure how long you're going to stay, you want something more than a hotel, but less than a leased rental apartment or condo, and you need it to be furnished. ASI is THE place to go to in the Seattle area. They will do the search for you, and if it exists, they'll find something that fits your needs. I saved tons of money over paying a nightly rate at an extended stay hotel or residence inn, and it was much nicer. We had a clean, and relatively quiet furnished apartment in Renton on Lake Washington. Lenka and Ashley @ASI went out of their way to quickly respond to every request I had to make myself and my wife more comfortable during the uncomfortable moving process. During a very stressful move, when no one else seemed to be willing to lift a finger to help, ASI made me feel like someone actually cared. read more

So, I have used this company 3 or 4 times in the last 4 or 5 years. If I had been reviewing them 2 or 3 years ago, I'd have given them 4 stars. I have made my feelings and opinions known to them. I think that when a client, especially a repeat client, emails you, you respond. If you are out of town, get an "Out of Office" automated response out so the client knows you cannot respond immediately. This is my main issue with ASI. Ms M has a very bad habit of not responding to mails - urgent or otherwise - until you get frustrated and find an alternative or till your mails begin to get slightly rude or hysterical! She does come through when you are in a bind (and yes, you almost always get to the near-hysteria or near-rudeness). I find she is a bit more expensive than the other corporate leasing agents and that was not an issue for me in the past as it seemed to be worth the extra cost. However, my last experience with ASI was way below what I had come to expect. They came through for me when ABODA messed up my vacation, getting me a 3 bedroom apartment at Stack House. When she manages to respond to requests, she usually has us at Metropolitan Tower or Coppins Well but this time, Stack House was the only place she said she had available. My welcome letter had conflicting information - the assigned unit was different from what was in the letter, my parking space information was confusing - 2 different spaces were stated in the letter while the permit itself had a third space. All 3 spaces were already occupied and even if they had not been, would have been too small anyway for the rental - a Ford Explorer. I emailed Ms M to let her know and heard nothing from her for 24 hours. SO I went to the leasing office staff who advised me on what to do. Ms M didn't think to email or call me back - she said when she called the leasing office after receiving my mail, she had been told I had been in. A follow up email to confirm if my problem had been sorted out would have been proper. And the apartment had no air-conditioning - which she knew but yet did not provide fans and the windows only opened out to a certain small angle! And even after I contacted her, she only sent ONE fan. For a 3 bedroom unit. With 5 occupants. There was no telephone either - she said I had to request and I did. Never got the telephone set up. We were there for almost 4 weeks. The dvd player obviously had been connected and not tested to see if the connection was properly made - complained to her also. Her usual document that would tell what the building rules and amenities were and how to use the electronics was missing. The crockery was fine but the cooking utensils were really cheap - that was a first because ASI had always in the past provided above "cheap" utensils. It is unfortunate that ASI has a slow response rate. I am not sure if it is, as I said to her, because I am not a corporate client. Whatever the reason, we spend quite a bit of money renting from her and I believe that a certain level of service is expected from a company of this caliber. My email to her detailing all these stated that I would not bother to discuss the issues with her. She did not acknowledge nor respond - not surprising since that's pretty much the norm for her. However, lately, she has been more responsive to my sister-in-law who also uses ASI and has had the same complaints about the untimely and mostly non-existent responses, so maybe that is her own way of making amends. Will I use them again? I am unsure. Seattle Corporate Leasing companies all seem to have one issue or the other, so maybe the one you know is better than the "award-winning" one you don't know! Very disappointed in ASI. I recently signed a lease with them for Nov 10 - Jan 10 and, knowing my situation could change at any time, told them I really had no way of knowing exactly how long I would actually be there. They persuaded me to sign a 60-day lease because they claimed it would be easier to get out of the lease than to extend the lease if I needed to because the unit may not be available for extension. They said multiple times they were willing to "work with me," if my departure dates changed, so I signed the 60-day lease and paid 30 days at a time. Within two weeks of moving in, my job situation changed and I needed to move out. I called and spoke with the owner who told me that since I had paid through Dec 10 and needed to leave immediately, she would change the lease date as ending on Dec 10. I moved out and thought everything was fine. However, SIX WEEKS later, I received a past due invoice from them for over $3,000 claiming I owed for the unit up to Jan 10. I emailed them stating what the owner had told me and that there must be some mistake. Another two weeks went by before I ever got a response from them again, claiming that the owner "didn't remember speaking with me." They kept insisting that they needed written notice of my departure in order to honor that date, although when I spoke with the owner that was never mentioned. At one point they claimed that they were billing me "because they were unable to rent the unit for the remainder of my lease." Their story changed multiple times. Long story short, after arguing with them via email for a week and a half, the number they claimed I owed went from over $3,000 down to $1,000 and at that point they were basically telling me I had to pay or else they'd take the full amount of $3,000 to a collections agency. I finally called to speak with someone and upon speaking to the owner again she claimed she didn't recall ever speaking to me because she "speaks to 1000 people a day and can't remember everyone." She then also told me that she "would never have said that and would have told me to give written notice of my departure." By the end of our conversation, she said she would be willing to accept $1500... $500 HIGHER than the amount they had gone down to a few days prior. I've never called a company to try to resolve a bill and end up with them giving me a higher quote. Ever! Aside from their horrible customer service, the "suites" are not nice. They put a twin bed in our 1 BR apartment with the cheapest, most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on. A Target dorm comforter was on the bed and the couch in the living room smelled like piss. There was also no AC in the unit, which I had come to find out was somewhat standard in Seattle apartments, but they never even mentioned it. The apartment we were staying at didn't charge residents for parking, but ASI added in an additional $120/month charge for parking that was non negotiable. Ridiculous. Save yourself the trouble and do not do business with ASI. read more

This place is the PITS! The only good thing about this short term rental is that the neighborhood is quiet. We had several issues during our one month stay. -first coffee pot didn't work, we didn't use the replacement because it looked like they picked it up in the dump. -There is enough hot water in the morning for one shower -the shower nozzle at the wall leaked badly -the bed was a comfortable as a futon in a college dorm. It was a thin mattress over a wood frame. No box spring. -no temperature control in the room (you have to open and close the window and modulate a fan provided for temperature control) -we couldn't use one of the 4 parking spots behind the building; those were for contractors and cleaning staff and office staff, I guess. We had to park on the street which is fine except they didn't tell us that THERE AREN'T ANY SPACES on 12th Ave E. We had to park many nights up to a 1/4 mile away. - there is a kitchen but I wouldn't recommend using it; the stove and cabinets combination looks like a fire hazard to me. There is no ventilation and no smoke detector. We had to prepay over $3000 for this abuse. We contacted the booking broker about these problems and he repeatedly asked the company to at least put a box spring under the mattress and ASI apparently told him it was on order. Regarding the house at 6256 31st Ave. N.E., Seattle There is something misleading when website-advertized rentals in monumental, legitimate, well-established apartment and condo buildings turns out to be in reality, at least in this one case, a standard, wood-framed, two story (and basement) house with dubious occupancy legitimacy. That house next door house to us is officially zoned by the Department of Planning and Development, like our house and all the other houses in many square blocks as Single Family 5000. This means occupied by related people or unrelated people with the owners living there and certainly not divided into separate dwelling units for rent, with the owners - in this case the directors of ASI - not living there. The result has been years of issues between this house and neighboring houses dealing with tenants that are temporary, and have no motivation toward compromising and mediating the typical neighbor situations with parking, fence lines, dog noise, kid noise, etc. the sort of things that lasting neighbors have to mediate with those that live next door or across the street. Some exemplary issues have been dog feces on our lawn, cigarette butts thrown into our yard, storage of automobiles for prolonged periods in front of our house, boyfriends abusing their girlfriends (cops called), and so-forth. The owners, who run ASI, have been reticent to deal with these things and by now ignore our concerns. Apparently they believe that there is no reason for them to have to deal with the more socially responsive, and responsible side of their venture when the commercial aspects are their primary interest. read more

Highly recommended especially over hotels! I used four apartment complexes and seven different rooms over the course of four months between Bellevue and Tacoma. The rooms were very affordable (cheaper than most hotels) and had many amenities that hotels don't have: a full kitchen with all the essentials (pots, pans, silverware, soap, etc), a washer and dryer, dishwasher, high speed wi-fi, couches and walk in closets. I stayed with a roommate the entire time through our different travelled locations. One time he showed up to room with two twin beds. Lenka had them changed immediately to his preference. Sharing with a roommate also made it cheaper. It was generally about $50-80 night depending on the location for each of us. Lenka helped ensure that my needs were met every time and worked with me and my schedule to ensure the place I stayed was right for me. The space was always clean, had all the basic living requirements (towels, soap, etc) Each of their locations were secure. They usually require a key fob for entry into the buildings and obviously keys for entry into the apartment itself. Additionally the parking options are usually gated and require key fob for entry as well. If you're looking for added security, ASI is right for you. It's way better in my opinion knowing that the people who live near me are permanent live ins, vs the nefarious activities which usually follow hotels. During my visit in Washington, I stayed in hotels and ASI both; I will certainly be staying at ASI over a hotel if I ever come back to Washington. The apartments are usually more centrally located to restaurants, vs hotels, which are usually grouped together away from a downtown center. You can easily drink a few beers and walk home at ASI locations vs. requiring cabs when staying at hotels. The only downside I would say is there is no free breakfast, nor someone making it for you. But you can always make your own breakfast in your kitchen; your way, better in my opinion. Also, the washer and dryers are free and you don't have to share them. It's just better. I did stay a week at my friends' space in an Aboda apartment. They were very similar, but I thought the quality and amount of amenities (silverware, etc) was higher. I can't speak to their pricing not comparison or their customer service... But I can't imagine it beats Lenka's customer service. read more

Overall I am satisfied with the accommodation ASI arranged for me. The apartment was clean and in an excellent location. Attempting to secure a confirmed reservation was frustrating, partly because of the need to contact the company repeatedly before I would get a response. Lenka, the owner, was wonderful once we were able to talk on the phone. She was warm, friendly, and seemed to care about her clients in a genuine way. I stayed in what was a new property for ASI and things were a bit uneven: e.g., construction noise and mess; power outages due to electrical work; absence of amenities described on their website. ASI might have vetted this property more carefully before placing people there. The cost was very high, but less than a hotel so it all worked out. I will recommend my friends and associates check out ASI if they have a need for short-term housing. read more

To secure a confirmed reservation was frustrating, partly because of the need to contact the company repeatedly before I could get a response. About a week before we were to drive from Tucson to Seattle, I was told she didn't have a place at the Bristol where I was supposed to stay, but she had a place at the Sanctuary across the street which was suppose to be bigger, and had a pool. So we made the trek up to Seattle. We arrived on a Wednesday at 4 pm to check in. The parking space was so small that our car wouldn't fit in, so to move in we parked the car in someone else's space temporarily and we had to park the car across the street until we could get a space the next day. When we arrived in our room we found no TV or internet and the apartment was filthy. I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen. The smell from the garbage room across the hall was terrible and the garbage chute was so full that it was all over the floor. There were bugs in the kitchen cabinets as well. Another matter on the list was that there was no air conditioner, only a fan. The street noise was so bad that we couldn't sleep with windows open at night so it was very stuffy with no cross ventilation. The next morning we called Lenka with our list and she offered to have the apartment cleaned as well as having the carpets cleaned. I told her it wasn't necessary to send a cleaning crew because I cleaned the place up already, but she could have the carpets cleaned. Comcast couldn't come to install TV and internet until Friday afternoon, so my husband waited around to have the TV and internet installed. We woke up on Monday morning with no TV. It was determined that something was wrong with the box, but couldn't get someone there until Tuesday afternoon, so I waited all afternoon for an installer and no one showed up. Lenka had to have someone from her office drive to Fife to get a new box and he showed up around 7:30 pm and got it setup. We had been there one week and had TV for 2 1/2 days only. I was also told that a carpet cleaner would show up on Thurs. at 11 am., but by Wednesday I asked her if we could move out on Thurs. morning because I was so fed up by that point. She was quick with a return of credit for 22 of the 30 days left. My husband asked her if she could give us back some of the pet deposit and cleaning fees since the place was not cleaned when we moved in and she, of course, has not responded to our request. We stayed there for eight nights and we feel we didn't get what we paid for. The rent was not reduced when they changed the reservation from the Bristol to the Sanctuary which was not nearly as nice. read more
