She has great work ethic, never slacks off, follows all instructions, and overall has been a dream caregiver for me. I would highly recommend this company for anyone who has caregiver needs. Having someone who communicates well and knows exactly what to do has been wonderful.

My complaint is only against this location, and not toward the others in WA. My complaints stem from AWCHC's 2 supervisors, referred to as "G" and "A," who were incredibly disrespectful, unprofessional, immature, as well as inconsistent w/ the services & care that AWCHC was supposed to provide to my parents. From approx. early-Oct. 2024 thru late-Mar. 2025, my parents were clients of AWCHC; and the home-/respite-care they were supposed to receive from the Caregivers ("CGs") varied from assisting w/ household chores, bathing, cleaning, as well as bathroom-use related needs (i.e. placing a bedpan, removing/replacing adult diapers, bedliners; disposing of human waste, cleaning my parent, etc.), among other tasks. Per my parents' 'care plan,' which was developed & finalized w/ the help of WA-DSHS, & based on my parents' needs, the agreed-to schedule w/ AWCHC was to be Tues./Thurs., from 11:30am - 1:30pm, where CGs would arrive to their home to assist w/ providing the above-stated home care needs for my disabled parent, while also providing respite for my other parent. During this 6-mo. period, CGs would often arrive late; arrive during days/times OUTSIDE of the agreed-to schedule; many were unexpected, and w/ NO prior notice given; or, CGs would not arrive at all. Also, many of AWCHC's CGs were not trained in basic, caregiving tasks, such as using a Hoyer lift, assisting w/ bedside transfers, knowing alternative methods for assisting bedridden patients, etc. At one point, supervisor-"G" even asked that we train her CGs on these tasks! Over the months, communication decreased & worsened w/ me & my family on every aspect. Consistency lacked w/ the CGs; the care plan was NOT followed. Moreover, supervisor-"A" admitted that they were trying to hire more CGs, indicating a staffing-issue. What's more shocking, is that supervisors "G," and later "A," rather than help to solve my concerns, instead attempted to shift blame toward my parents, accusing them of, among other things: sleeping in, not responding to CGs when they arrived; would send CGs home early or refused service; and even made absurd claims that my parents treated the CGs in a hostile manner, which couldn't be further from the truth! In reality, AWCHC sent CGs during days outside of the agreed-to schedule, often w/ no notice; they would send CGs that were ill to their home - and my parents, being elderly & w/ disabilities - only turned CGs away who were SICK so as to avoid getting sick themselves; and b/c my parent wakes up several times a night to assist their disabled-spouse w/ bathroom-needs, he doesn't get enough sleep, causing him to be exhausted. Since AWCHC would often send CGs to their home during non-scheduled days, what did they expect to happen? Further, despite my many efforts to address these issues, supervisor-"A" made awful insults that were disrespectful, as well as false claims, against my parents. She provided no evidence or clarification for her flawed claims, and she cont'd to shift blame toward my parents, while making other hostile & hateful remarks about them. Also, she only notified me of these supposed complaints against my parents until AFTER I started to raise complaints against them. Again, for the entire 6 mos., we were never notified of any complaints by the CGs against my parents. "A" even went as far as to call my parents "filthy people," again, not true! Finally, in complaining to their manager, it seemed she was unaware of my issues, & she was also unhelpful. We were never given info about AWCHC's complaint process, and my issues went unresolved. I'm sure NO ONE would ever tolerate a supervisor of a company to insult or degrade their parents, let alone allowing them to make false, unsupported claims against them; To anyone reading this, beware of AWCHC's hostile conduct & poor service! Consider other better options for home care and NOT AWCHC-Kennewick.

I am reachable for any questions via facebook under heidi cheree hughes or messenger under the same name for ANY parent or caregiver that needs me to elaborate on this statement.. and am so happy to do so..I had to put 1 star but they didn't have a minus button because I wouldn't even give them 1 star

He had a very complicated health picture. He required IV nutrition, a PICC line, a wound vac, physical therapy and occupational therapy. They provided skilled care with a RN, PT and OT therapist. Yeah they keep going on and on about going to rehab and leaving your home and staying in some kind of care center maybe being separated from your husband or wife or your family.. all one has to do is read their opening advertisement under their logo and so on and none of it has been shown to be true as far as at least five or six workers that have come to our friends home... In fact just the opposite they spoke with the owner of the business and he said that none of that stuff should be going on yet it's still going on and he never got back to the elderly people that are our friends that we witness some of this ourselves from what they told us. Not a place we'd recommend for your mother father mother and father grandmother so on some you know individual that's severely handicapped or whatever you know they want to ship you off to some kind of home and separate your family and then just leave you in there to be shipped later down to a nursing home and lay there and wait to die be alone after so long people quit coming we've seen so many old people go through this it's just horrible I wouldn't recommend this place they're leaning towards that and they're very Snoopy... They look in your covers they look in your refrigerator they ask you questions are not supposed to ask a question what your doctor recommended for you as far as medicine ... My friend's husband talked to the director or the owner he said that none of that stuff should be going on and that they don't do those kind of things but they did two of the nurses one said the man would never walk again if he didn't go to rehab out of his home and he'd have to go there without his wife and stay there at a rehab center who knows how long and one of the other ones keep saying it every time she comes she says go to the rehab center or go to the Care center.. these folks want to be independent in their home they want to "live in place" it's called.. like 80 plus percent of seniors want to live in place.. live and die in your home with your family and your loved ones not in some strange place where you don't really know nobody.. we're very upset to hear this from our friends being elderly they're there are clear mind able to take care of themselves and with the assistance of their family members and Friends some caregivers that are waiting to be approved by the state or whoever it is they even have nurses in the family. So they're well taken care of their home is clean and safe and has plenty of room for physical therapy commodes walkers... They live out on a farm type setting with their family right next door very peaceful quiet they've known their neighbors for 22 years on this road out here and on this private road for 12 years and their neighbors are like family to them they love their neighbors and their neighbors love them... Yet these people from Columbia River want to put these elderly friends of ours in a home or tell him that they'll never walk if they don't go to a rehab center these are cruel things to say to people...well if you ever read the policy of Columbia River home health Care Kennewick he'll know that it's not what it's cracked up to me cuz none of that really happens at least it didn't with our friends we wouldn't recommend this place for it anybody's grandma or grandpa or mother or father. ..
