I have nothing to say here but notes of praise if you want to keep this read short…read more That said, I contacted J. after a friend recommend him and his crew by leaving him a message here on Yelp. Within 15 minutes J. responded and I explained my (very) complex move I was then contemplating from California. J. pledged his support and we agreed to stay in touch after I flew out west and assessed the challenge of moving my 4 bedroom house that was in storage spread through six, jam-packed lockers. (It wasn't pretty.) It took me over a week to sort our the move, but I ended up driving a 26' rental truck across country, one that literally took two days to pack (like I said it was complex). I contacted J. several times before I hit the road, but it was after I was on the road that the nature of his character shined through. Pretty much on a daily basis J. texted me to see how I was holding up (I am too old for this crap). And he adjusted my schedule to fit his where ever possible (yes, I drove on the heels of a hurricane too). And when I landed in Fredericksburg, we were on the same page to the minute. The next morning after my last 12 hours drive, J. and his crew were waiting for me a the new storage locker, convinced they could unload this absolute beast of a move in a mere 8 hours. I had built rack scaffolding to accommodate my furniture, wine, art work and another 10K pounds of assorted tools. (Let's just say I pushed the advisable gross weight limits.) So it was game on... But this was no simple unload... All the furnishings and appliances went to my house a mile away and had to be unloaded in two separate trips, so four stops in all! But it gets worse! The items in the house had to shuffled around to accommodate the new furnishings, the heaviest of which had to be hauled around the outside of a two story townhouse! But did these guys complain? Not a peep! But all this in 8 hours? You bet. They absolutely killed it, included defeating my beast of a work bench without suffering bodily harm! Then when all was done, one of the guys (Michael) drove my car to the truck rental drop off point so my sister didn't have to do the dirty deed. All in all I ended up with my knees and back in shape and the trip from hell ending on absolute high point. Now, if anybody out there that reads this has a lesser bar to clear in your moving needs than the one I just described that you need J. Drummond Movers & Company will take care of you from start to finish. On time; on point; and honest to a fault, these are the people you want in your domain to help you when you need it most. And best of all - the price is absolutely right! J, you and your guys have my absolute respect. (I owe you a bottle of wine when I get the courage to revisit my storage locker!) 'Nuf said.

Storage for my RV…read more Self Storage Plus seemed to be a reasonable place to store my RV when we are home. The price was $59/month, on a gated lot. Not undercover, but that was OK - the place was clean and secure. We took a month-to-month lease and paid by credit card. So today I get a notice that my monthly rate will increase to $111/month! Ouch! Almost a 100% increase - and for what? I called and attempted to talk with one of their desk clerks. She barely spoke english, had a whole lot of background noise, merely repeated (badly) the notice I got in the mail. No clue about "Why?"

HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!…read more SUPPORT LOCAL!! If you're looking for an exceptional, reliable service, hire Cody (Chimney Sweep). His work ethic and attention to detail are nothing short of extraordinary. He constantly goes above and beyond the job he was hired for. A few months ago, I noticed one of my gutter covers on the ground, so Cody took it upon himself to check my entire gutter system and make sure every single cover was securely screwed down--something that wasn't even on his schedule for the day. To top it off, he encountered a active wasp nest while working on the roof. Despite almost getting stung--and being severely allergic--nearly lost his balance on the roof, he stayed calm and sprayed the swarm to make sure the area was safe. He certainly didn't have to take care of a wasp nest, but that's just the kind of dedicated business owner he is. Cody is extraordinarily communicative, thoroughly professional, and truly cares about his customers. I cannot recommend him and his company highly enough!
