Wow! I knew I would benefit from working with Janet, but I had no idea that I would feel so…read moredrastically impacted by her coaching, especially in such a short time. I tend to be pretty skeptical, and honestly when I first started to feel better (more regulated, more joyful, able to be more engaged in my life), I had trouble believing it- I kept waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under me. But it wasn't a fluke! Even though there have been ups and downs, as there are with any changes and growth, there has been a consistent, significant, positive trajectory. Throughout my adult life, I have been in and out of therapy, mostly for depression and anxiety. And there is usually some improvement, but I often have trouble implementing the tools on a day-to-day basis. Before working with Janet, I was often dysregulated and would get to the point of complete burnout/shut down where I would end up in bed for the whole day (often once a month, more during the winter months). I have some chronic health issues that were getting worse because I didn't feel capable of doing the things needed to care for myself. In the three months I worked with Janet, I was able to get out of freeze/shut down (zero full days unable to get out of bed in the last 2 months!), I've been able to bounce back quicker when I started to get dysregulated, and I began to have the emotional bandwidth to start taking better care of my physical health. Janet's coaching style of coupling longer sessions with check-ins throughout the week, really helped me stay accountable to this process and make consistent progress. I was hesitant to sign up because the cost (even though extremely reasonable for the time Janet invests) was a big stretch for our budget. But when I consider the money spent on talk therapy and physical therapy over the years (and ordering food out because I can't function enough to cook)....this was a steal and worth every penny!

I highly recommend working with Janet. What a deeply moving experience…read more Janet's inquisitive approach, her compassion, patience and gentleness brought me closer to myself, helped me understand my triggers, and bring compassion to challenging internal dynamics. Through deeper self-understanding I am able to connect more meaningfully and authentically with my child. Working with Janet requires bravery to face internal harms and limiting beliefs. Together, we forged new and empowering approaches to being a parent and a human. With Janet, there is no quick-fix or parenting hack to make challenging problems go away, rather, there is transformation that takes place on a very deep level. Be ready! I am grateful for Janet's humor, groundedness, and for her ability to see and feel deeply alongside me as a thought partner.

When we hired Kaitlin as our birth coach, we were so grateful to have someone as knowledgeable, encouraging, and patient as she is to support us as we embarked on this exciting yet terrifying adventure. Kaitlin listened to our concerns, shared resources and information - including giving us the name of the best Obgyn when we unexpectedly needed to move cities only a couple weeks before the birth and needed a new doctor - and gave us helpful guidance before and after the birth of our daughter. We are so grateful for her help and highly recommend Kaitlin and her services!

She helped my husband and I feel comfortable and confident going into the birth and super supported. Kaitlin and I hit it off immediately; she is warm, very knowledgeable, passionate, and intuitive. During labor, she was a calming, steady presence for both me and my husband. She tirelessly helped me cope and ride the waves of contractions, assuring me every step of the way. When I needed it, she suggested helpful ideas to both mentally and physically shift things, and I can still hear her smart words in my mind when I think about my birth. She was there when I searched for her eyes, and she answered even my most impossible questions during intense labor. She had my back and my heart every step of the way. As our son was born, she whispered beautiful words into the space, which still gives me chills to think about. In the days following, she was a great support, especially in helping my husband and I navigate early postpartum and in breastfeeding. She helped us so much in getting off on the right foot with breastfeeding. We felt cared for, supported, and in excellent hands. I definitely recommend Kaitlin as a doula, educator, and women's health advocate. Her knowledge runs deep, and her contribution to this field is already and will be vast.

There is no way I'd have gotten this job without the knowledge of the two excellent instructors in the class, Scott and Dennis, who have a wealth of experience when it comes to AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Revitt. My favorite aspect of the school is that you're treated like an adult. I'm in my mid-30's and haven't attended classes of any sort since my early 20's as I'm not a fan of the 'typical' classroom environment. Here you're treated respectfully and with and understanding that there are other things going on in your life while you're attending class practically full time(M-F, 8-4). It's a professional environment without feeling stuffy. I've been in the work force for 15+ years and the school is a nice proxy for what a working environment might feel like. Another great aspect of this school is that they want you to get a job and will fall over themselves to help you get there. I think I interview very well and have good resume making skills, but the experts at the school who help you when you're in the final stretch with these things were immensely helpful in making me feel prepared for the interviews I went to. I've heard other graduates say the same. All the staff here are very supportive and if you're looking for a fresh start and a new career, I really can't recommend VACE enough. it was a life changing positive experience for me and I'm sure it will be for you too.

The resources provided in her program (medical assisting) we're not sound pedagogically, not androgogically. It is a very self paced program with little scaffolding. I could not get ahold 9f the placement person to ask about internships and job placement. There were very few students in the building during the two weeks of her trial. Did theyattend 8n the morning or did few come? The website is not very descriptive and cites 100% placement rate. That seems unlikely, tho I suppose possible. It does cost much less to attend this program than other local for-profit medical assisting programs, but I think you need to be a much more sophisticated learner than most high school grads without work or life experience. ((I find it truly abhorrent to charge as much as these programs do to enter a relatively low-paying occupation. There is a two week trial period, which is good. Unfortunately, when it looked like my mentee was going to struggle with the pace of the program, they just wrote her off and told her not to return until they contacted her and have not done so for over two months since then. To be fair, I'm going by her side of things ,but I have no reason to believe she misrepresented her experience with me. I was very disappointed for her.
