I'm really grateful for the time he took to get to know me, and for him sharing some key points of his lifestyle as well. I will definitely return to Fianna Studios.

He is a Fantastic tattoo artist, and artist in general. I love how he takes the time to discuss what you really are looking for in your tattoo. He then takes all that information and draws out the perfect custom tattoo that you will absolutely love, and then tattoos it on you with such precision and accuracy that it will really blow you away. His lines are so clean, and water shading is pretty damn perfect. He is very focused on his work and will not let you leave with a tattoo that he/you won't like. The new studio is also beautiful, it's located in the old firehouse building that has almost completely been restored. The studio has two large windows that actually used to be the garage doors to the fire truck bays. They let in a lot of natural light and give you something to look at while you're being tattooed. The studio is also filled with a lot of really interesting art, mostly paintings, and always has good music playing. It's really a relaxing and creative environment. The shop is also very clean, and James is very good about making sure things are sanitized. I have almost two full sleeves completely done by him, and definitely plan on getting more until I don't have any more room left on me! I have gotten to the point where I give him a simple idea and then let him create whatever he would like. If you are looking for a beautifully done custom tattoo, I highly recommend this studio.

Last day in Maine and my friend and I lucked out !…read more Walked in close to closing and wasn't expecting to actually getting a tattoo. The owner had just finished with a client but didn't send us away. Angelina was able to see me and did a fantastic job! She worked with my indecisive self ... hahaha Both got small tattoos and both came out amazing! If I'm ever in Maine again, I'll definitely visit the shop again!

Well....this place is alright. As far as tattoo shops in central Maine go. Everyone was nice. I…read morehave had my nose pierced before but removed it (for my job at the time). I recently decided I wanted to have it pierced again. I called the shop ahead of time to ask how much piercings were and was told "$50 including the jewelry". I get to the shop, sign some forms and was again told "$50. Look around at these cases *motions to cases* they are our nose piercings". I waited for about an hour before their piercer could get to me (yes they were quite busy). I showed him the one I wanted (as I spent basically an entire hour looking). I then again asked how much that piercing was, he said "$70". I thought, cool, a little more expensive than $50 but I got a neat little 14K gold nose ring. No biggie. Before I sit in the chair, the receptionist calls me up to pay and my total was $130 dollars! I have the money, I can pay that's no problem. But what I had an issue with was feeling like information was purposefully withheld in order to make a higher sale. Not only is this dishonest, but left a bad taste in my mouth. The same jewelry I purchased in the shop, isn't even worth $70 online! Yeah, I could've said no. But I had already been waiting for so long AND the place was so packed..I got nervous saying no and going back to the drawing table. Pic for reference of what I got. If you're going there....just beware of this practice. Or just go somewhere else all together.

DO NOT GO HERE. I'm not sure why I trusted this place after seeing them mess up a friend's nose…read morepiercing, but I thought I would be safe with the older, more experienced piercer. Very wrong! I went in to get my Medusa repierced and the piercer said he could do it in the same spot as the scar. He then used a huge sharpie to mark the placement and didn't get anywhere near the actual spot when he put the needle in. His hands were shaking the whole time and the entire experience felt anxious, careless, and extremely rushed. It wasn't until later that day that I noticed it was completely off center and nowhere remotely near the spot we agreed on. Once the obscene amount of sharpie wore off, I could still very clearly see my old scar above and way to the side of the new bar, this was not a swelling issue! The shop was closed for the next 3 days so I was not even able to contact them at that point. I chose to void my warranty and remove the jewelery myself so that I could minimize the scarring of this totally unnecessary and infuriatingly off-centered extra hole in my face. As much as I would love for them to fix their mistake or give me a refund, I will never set foot inside this shop again for multiple reasons. For one, the guy that usually works the front desk is a literal storybook troll in the absolute worst way. He is so rude to literally every person I've ever seen him interact with. It is not some neurodivergent accident either, he clearly gets pleasure from making people feel as shitty as possible. No one in the shop seems to care since he has been there for years, so I assume they must all condone this truly abhorrent behavior. Secondly, I do not trust either of these piercers to care or be bothered to do this piercing correctly the second time, they seem annoyed that they even have customers! I would fully expect them to try to gaslight me into thinking that their incorrect placement was somehow okay or justified or, at the very least, to be rude AF to me. Maybe this place was good twenty years ago, but they clearly have not kept up with the industry standards and have zero passion left for what they do. I really hope my terrible experience can save someone else the pain and disappointment. I've been pierced all over the country and I've never seen such carelessness.

This tattoo sucks! I don't know I just don't like it and it hurt a lot. The quality is super bad…read moreand I asked for colors and they didn't even give it to me like I literally paid for it and likeeee didn't give so like idfk! The people were also very mad and there was a KAREN asking for manager! I don't blame her but I'm ass at speaking up so lowkey just left. Don't waste your money! Go to B&R dairy bar for ur tattoo!!!

I am completely dumbfounded by the level of unprofessional things that my artist Justin at windham…read moretattoo had displayed. What are the key issues? He was rude to a special needs women about asking him to help her screw her lip ball back on. She couldn't do it do he gave her a big hard time. He smoked his vape right into the fresh tattoo as well as continued to get up during to play w his phone and eat and keep the same glove on even by "trying to use the other side of his hand so it stays sanitized" When my boyfriend came in he was acting professional but as soon as he left he went to start vaping and assisting others. He didn't give me a set price as well as assumed I had the tattoo pre done. He made me wait a 45-50 minute to charge me that while he was stenciling. Told me this would be $250 and assumed that I had just needed coloring when I never stated it was just coloring as I said this is the reference photo I want to get done and add so and so touches. He also wanted to reject my appointment bc it wasn't original which I expressed it was not my design. This shop needs two hands on staff like He kept stopping to help Others with piercing and appointment scheduling and printing off a stencil for a dude instead of telling him like come back when I'm done and we can work it out. I would never lie on a artist, like I was afraid to tell him A lot bc of how he reacted to a special needs women asking for him to do his job. He's super sketchy about money too like he refuses to take card payments. He told a guy who came in before I was done the first session "I don't do card I do cash I'll cover your atm fee if that's what you're worried about" There is plenty of mistakes and unfinished spots that were just so lazily filled in that it's almost laughable because a child could fill in the lines completely. I will never ever go back, the dude seems to be completely uninterested in taking his time and not making so many fucking mistakes. If you chose to be a tattoo artist or piercer you need to take your job serious. I appreciate him doing the tattoo but I won't ever ever reccomend this place or him as a artist.
