Had our chief in ship shape condition just in time for the USS Jack H Lucas commissioning! Grateful for her emergency services!

Mrs. Virginia came through in a pinch! I had a friend in town for the Navy ship commissioning and he needed an emergency tailor! She did not disappoint! I have been coming here for years! We are very grateful she was able to help our Chief out!!

Zipper sticking out again very unflattering when it was supposed to be altered to me

I took a bridesmaid dress in to get altered. This was a waste of time and money. She did not take in like a I asked and when I went in to pick up kept saying how the material was stretchy and I kept repeating that it was too large and the stretching did not help. She disregarded everything I would say and my complaints. And when I told her I was unhappy with the work said she was not responsible. I ended up going to sew fast and he pointed out all the mistakes with the zipper and alterations and helped fix the mistakes made. I just was so astonished on how she treated me and when I stated I was unhappy did nothing to help.

Virginia is a wizard. Not only has she made mediocre, off-the-rack suits look like they're bespoke but recently, I tried to do a split at a wedding after-party and completely shredded the crotch and whole rear of my nicest suit pants to the point of what I imagined, was no return. I swear to you all, when I went to pick up my damaged goods I had a VERY hard time even noticing where the initial damage was done. They're personable, professional, fast, and affordable here so I highly recommend

I've taken many pieces to Virginia and every time been very pleased with the outcome. Plus she is always so friendly and nice to talk to.

Good service, poor execution…read more I chose this shop based on its five-star reviews and brought in an off-the-rack men's jacket for fairly standard alterations: sleeves let out, buttons attached to the cuffs, and sides taken in. To their credit, the staff was friendly and professional, communication was timely, and they were willing to address mistakes when I brought them up. Customer service on the front end was solid. Unfortunately, the quality of the tailoring itself was below average. One sleeve was shortened instead of lengthened--opposite of the requested measurement (both sleeves required the same initial adjustment)--which required a return trip and extended the total turnaround time for what should have been basic alterations. On the first return, the interior vent seams were also left unfinished and, although they were completed as part of the rework, the finishing was not as clean as the original seams of the jacket. Even after these corrections, the overall workmanship did not meet expectations. The interior sleeve linings were reattached too long and baggy, bunching inside the sleeve and visibly extending below the cuff unless manually adjusted. For straightforward alterations at a highly rated shop, this was disappointing. While I appreciate the polite service and willingness to make corrections, needing multiple trips for the same jacket--and still not feeling confident in the final result--makes it difficult to recommend this shop for men's tailoring.

I took 2 pair of pants in the get the cuffs hemmed. I now have 2 pair of pants that leave my ankles exposed. I have to push them down on my hips so I don't look like Peewee Herman. I took my hat there, to have patches sewn on. I pinned one to size and asked for them to be "centered on the middle patch". What I got was one patch the correct size, the other patch not the size I pinned it to, and neither patch is centered. I want to support local but I may have to take it to a chain to get it done right.

I got so many compliments on this tie (A CEO of an S&P 500 company once commented that his Chauffeur was better dressed than he was) that I wore it for all special occasions. After all those years of Valiant service, the tie was getting scruffy and was actually torn in a few spots, like where the knot always went. I reluctantly retired the tie. Enter Del Valle custom tailors. I brought them the tie and told them I wanted to get it back in service. I realized that it would need some major work for that to happen. They gave me an estimate of a couple of weeks which stretched out into a month. The problem was the tie was worn through in so many places that in order to make it wearable it would need to be taken apart and put back together in a new configuration. Del Valle did an excellent job. They took apart the tie, cut away the worn spots, added silk material to the back of the tie, and put it together again 1/2 inch narrower. Of course, the new configuration changed the centering of the design, but with this tie that was not a significant issue. The $100 price tag was worth it to have this tie rejuvenated and ready for another 20 years of service! (Note: To buy this tie brand new today, the price would be approximately $2,500. I did find some used ones online, but they were also worn out)
