I went to Alterations by Ursula as she was recommended by the House of Tux. I called Ursula prior to coming in and asked her if she would be able to hem up my daughters prom dress that I needed in 2 weeks, she said she would be able to. So I brought my daughters prom dress in to have it hemmed up. My daughter came and was fitted for the dress by Ursula, she gave me a price, and agreed to have the dress done in 2 weeks, I agreed with this and left the dress with her. After 3 days Ursula called me and stated that she would not be able to do the alterations that she would not be able to finish the dress in 2 weeks that she had too many dresses and clothes that she is working on. The alterations that I needed was time sensitive, as I needed it in 2 weeks. So I thought it was inconsiderate of her that she did not tell me this when we came in and fitted for the alterations. I told her that it would of been nice and courtesy if she would of told us this the first day that we bought the dress in as I could of found someone else sooner to do the alterations. She stated that "I had to think about it". What is there to think about, either you can alter a dress or not?, why make an agreement and then back out on it. I think that is very unprofessional business ethics. I would not go to this business if you want someone that is trustworthy and will do what they say. read more
