I had Maria work on a very difficult dress (vintage lace wedding dress from the 50's... with only 2 weeks until my wedding!!) and she was extremely accommodating and fit me in even though she was very busy. She did an amazing job on my dress, fixing it in ways I didn't even know it needed, and for less than half of what I was quoted at a "vintage restoration" bridal shop. The owner responded to this review stating that final fittings are always offered- that was not the case with my situation. We were told to pick up at a specific time and that was it. I also wanted to add that rude comments were made regarding my mother's weight. I've never felt so uncomfortable during an alteration process. It was impossible to schedule with her and she kept pushing out the pickup date. While I appreciated her attempt to accommodate, I wish she had been honest about her ability to complete the alterations. I would not suggest going here if you are looking for clear pricing and attention to detail.

The seamstress that did my wedding dress made one beautifully and even added a zipper. Other places make them all the time. They are a low-skill alteration fix. The dress was fixed as best as possible by my new seamstress who is near me. Thank God I didn't bring them (Joshuas) my wedding gown!
