After only 2 rounds of alterations, Barb had these dresses fitting like they were custom made for my body. I wish I could post the before and after pictures here. I read her negative review below because honestly I couldn't understand how someone could be dissatisfied with her work. I think people have to keep in mind that she's been doing this for decades- if she tells you something isn't going to work or won't look right, she's probably right. And the best part about her is she actually WILL tell you if something doesn't look right (unlike bridal shop sales people who will tell you you look good in any hideous dress). Then she'll show you how she's going to fix it. You just have to be open and trust her- like I said before she's been doing this for decades. Lastly, not only is she an amazing dressmaker, she's AFFORDABLE! I got several estimates for altering my 2 gowns that started at $400 each and quickly went up from there. She did BOTH for $400, essentially deconstructing both dresses and retrofitting them for my body. If I could have given her 10 stars, I would have. I highly recommend her.

There was practically no fraying. I was expecting either narrow ladder or narrow zigzag stitching to join the edges with the repair looking like a thin scar in the fabric. Instead I got what you see here. The fabric is crushed and the threads are a rat's nest. I doubt this 'repair' can be repaired. My seamstress mom is rolling in her grave.

They gave me Debbie's contact and said she has worked magic before and fixed horrible mistakes. She was able to squeeze me in (this was a month before my wedding) and was able to deliver after completely deconstructing my dress, having to express order new fabric to redo the top of my dress, and get it to me on time! The top of my dress was corset style and the original seamstress made it so tight and told me that's how those dresses fit that I even had a short second dress because I was so worried it being uncomfortable and so tight in all the wrong places but Debbie also made it fit like a glove and I wore it all night (and it was so comfortable and flattering)! This review is for the location at 8131 Ohio River Blvd. On Monday June 30 I washed and dried my…read moreclothing at this location because the laundromat I normally use was extremely busy. I utilized the large dryer to dry my two loads in one go. In particular I used dryer #23. I ran the dryer for 30 minutes and returned with one minute left on the clock. My clothes were dry, thoroughly dry because the temperature on the dryer was set to melt and that's what it did. I had a laundry bag in with clothing and the nylon draw string melted along with the handles. Chunks of melted nylon then attached themselves to my bedding, shirts and pants. I use a small Tupperware container to premeasure and transport my detergent so I don't have to lug around a large container. The container was melts into a sticky ball. This container is dishwasher and microwave safe!! My logo adorned t shirts achieved a heat sufficient to melt the logos and cause them to transfer to other clothing. Shirts, bedding and other apparel all ruined. I called the "emergency " number and advised them while on scene. The recording said to leave a message and to text the number with details. I did both and 2 days later I have received zero correspondence. I've attached pictures of my damaged clothing, the container( next to the other container I have run through dozens of wash/ dry cycles and the laundry bag. Don't use this business unless you want to pay for new clothing and give your money to a business that claims zero responsibility
